Since I was young, I dreamed of owning a Lamborghini Countach.  I finally realized that dream, many years ago...sort of.

I purchased this half-built kit car and started the process of creating my own supercar.

Along the way I met a whole new family of passionate friends that shared the same dreams, met countless people who just wanted to learn more, or just be close to such an exotic machine.

I recently re-located my home and businesses to Los Angeles and as part of that move, my most painful loss is the fact that I need to now part with my car. I simply do not have a location to store and work on it now, and so I must sell it to someone else who can finish it and drive it. This has been a gut-wrenching decision, but hopefully this will create an opportunity for someone else to take on this project and continue the adventure!

This is a Pontiac Fiero-based non-stretch chassis with an IFG Koenig Countach body.  It still has the stock engine and drive train. It has no crazy engine modifications to make getting it running well a big problem.  I have completely re-built the suspension system with Pro-Thane urethane bushings and and after an alignment and tighten-up will be a real smooth-mover! It has not been driven or ran for many years, so it will require a thorough mechanical inspection and cleanup before driving. I did drive it myself when I first purchased the car, then I started the process of re-building it. I had plans of pulling the engine and upgrading the engine to a v-8 which has been done many times to cars like this, but I never got that far.

When I embarked on this project I decided that I wanted the experience of driving this car to be as accurate and realistic as possible of that of a real Lamborghini Countach. So the process of completely gutting the interior began. I created custom interior panels, dash board and other components to resemble the actual Lambo interior.  I then started a several-year process of sourcing all-authentic Lamborghini interior parts for the the switches, indicators, selectors and other components that would create a great driving environment and convince any passer-by that this was a true super car.  I work in the movie and TV industry, so I figured it should work as a picture car as well, so accuracy was important. I painstakingly re-wired the Pontiac wiring system to work with the Lamborghini switches and it's trademark pushbutton switches! No easy task, let me tell you!

I spent many years and many thousand dollars finding original replacement parts for the car. I have amassed an incredible collection of exceptionally rare original Lamborghini parts that I am selling ALONG WITH this car. See this PAGE for a partial listing of everything included.

This is virtually a turn-key project car that has almost everything that you need to complete the vehicle.

The car has not been driven for many years and will require a basic service and mechanical check out prior to being driven. The wheels are in prefect shape, the tires are original Pirelli P-7s (exceptionally rare!) and as such are older, but have plenty of tread, though they'll likely need replacement before they get any real mileage.

NOTE: This car has a CA DMV Specially Constructed Vehicle number designation which is a highly sought after designation that should allow it to be registered by its body or engine year and thus allow smog check exemption. It has not been registered since 2002 (I believe) so buyer will be responsible for all registration fees and costs associated with the title.

I am selling the vehicle, all the Lambo OEM original parts, several custom made replica parts. Every single piece and element that I purchased, built and traded for to create this car is being sold along with it. Everything, including seals, battery, filters, wires, switches and the list goes on and on. Click here for details

Arrangements can be made to view this car in Santa Maria, CA 93455 with prior notice. I do not live in Santa Maria so I have to arrange travel to meet you, so only serious buyers please.

Upon purchasing the car, you will need to schedule a flatbed tow truck or car hauler to move it, as it does not run on its own at this time.  I will require a $2,000 deposit upon agreement to purchase. I will end all ads, auction and promotion of the sale of this vehicle at that time and no sooner.  I am selling it as-is with no warranty expressed, no returns or refunds. Please understand what you are purchasing. It has much work to be done to get in running and looking like the true beauty she is inside. If you know about these project, you understand the work that goes into them, and you will also understand the incredible value for the amount of material that you will receive along with this car. Parting out all the original Lamborghini OEM parts and replicas might even be enough to cover the entire selling price! Many of these items are exceptionally rare and took me YEARS to source.

We visit the Lamborghini Museum at company HQ in Sant'Agata

Fri, 07 Mar 2014

Last week, Lamborghini invited us to stop by its Sant'Agata Bolognese headquarters to have a look around the factory and pick up a few technical tidbits about its new Huracán LP 610-4. It won't surprise you to learn this, but Lambo's foyer is pretty rad.
Rather than front its offices and factory with a gift shop and a reception desk, Lamborghini puts its amazing heritage on full display by offering up the corporate museum as a first impression to visitors. We had coffee in the morning and lunch after the press conference in this space, with stunning Italian concept cars and production models serving as an impressive backdrop to it all. Not wanting to miss the opportunity to share the Lamborghini collection with exotic-car crazed Autoblog readers (you know who you are), we did our best to capture everything we saw in the gallery here.
With some variation, the museum's two floors are separated by vintage: older models downstairs and newer up. When you walk through the front door, you're flanked by two of the coolest Lamborghinis in the marque's impressive history: a 350 GT to the left and a perfectly green Countach LP 400 on the right. Perhaps our favorite car in the whole joint, the Countach's Bertone body is still almost impossible to believe. Up close, we're reminded how design-driven this car is; the seats are so far inboard from the scissor doors that it's difficult to imagine that engineers ever agreed that the shape was a feasible one for production or actual driving.

Lamborghini Centenario to grace the cover of next Forza game

Mon, Mar 21 2016

The creatives at Turn 10 Studios must have had a heck of a time choosing which new supercar would feature on the cover of the next installment in the Forza franchise. We saw an unsurpassed array of exotic machinery, after all, unveiled last month alone at the Geneva Motor Show, but in the end it's the Lamborghini Centenario that got the nod. The exclusive supercar marks the 100th anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini's birth, and stands as "the most powerful Lamborghini produced to date," in the words of the company's own R&D chief Maurizio Reggiani. Unfortunately only 40 examples will ever be made – 20 coupes and 20 convertibles – and they've all been sold for the equivalent of nearly $2 million apiece. It will hit the small screen in the next Forza game before any of those extremely fortunate customers have theirs delivered in real life. Microsoft will reveal the new game at E3 in June, but for now we don't even know what it will be called. Forza Motorsport 7? Forza Horizon 3? Something else entirely? We'll have to wait to find out, but the Centenario will definitely be on the cover. This won't be the first time that a Lamborghini has graced the cover of a Forza game. The Huracan appeared on the cover of Forza Horizon 2. Previous cover cars have included the Ford GT, McLaren P1, Dodge Viper, Ferrari 458 Italia, and Audi R8. That'll make the Raging Bull marque, by our account, the only to be featured twice in the series. Related Video: Lamborghini partners with Microsoft: Lamborghini Centenario is cover car for next Forza game on Xbox. Sant'Agata Bolognese, 04 March 2016 : The Lamborghini Centenario will feature on the front cover and within the next Forza racing game on Xbox. Lamborghini and Microsoft's Turn 10 Studios announced their latest collaboration at Geneva Motor Show in March 2016, with the new Xbox game to be revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June 2016. The Centenario will be available "First in Forza," giving millions of fans around the world the exclusive opportunity to experience the virtual version of the car on Xbox before its road debut. Thus, players will be the first to enjoy the aspects of the car celebrating the 100 year anniversary of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini's birth, starting from the naturally aspirated V12 Centenario which produces 770 hp and powers from 0100 km/h in 2.8 seconds ( 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds) with a top speed of more than 350 km/h.
