1973 Lamborghini Espada for sale

I am pleased to offer this 1973 Lamborghini Espada for sale. This is an early Series III so it includes the improvements over the Series I and II without the obnoxious and unsightly rubber bumpers. Lamborghini made just 1,217 Espadas from 1968-1978, with only 456 Series III cars made from 1973-1978. The series III cars had power steering and air conditioning standard, both which make for a more comfortable driving experience verses the earlier examples. The styling of the Espada is exciting and unique. If you are an enthusiast or collector of classic Lamborghinis, it is worth taking a closer look at this Lamborghini Espada.

This is a very clean example with 56k original miles. The exterior was repainted in the original color three years ago. The door jams are still in original paint and the color match is great. The interior is original and shows only minimal wear. If you haven't ever sat in one of these cars it is thrilling. The V12 engine pushes you back in your seat. The Espada uses the same V12 engine as the Lamborghini Countach and the sound of the engine is enough to make anyone smile.

Recent service includes a new clutch and a hydraulic system flush. This Espada is mechanically sound and needs nothing to be enjoyed. This is a car you can jump in and drive exactly as is. The body is nice and straight and the paint finish looks great.

Have a look through the nearly 300 photos in the photo gallery just below this written description. I have some video of this Lamborghini Espada running and driving so you can get a feel for the excitement one gets from seeing this car in person.  Let me know if you have any questions, and thank you for checking out this 1973 Lamborghini Espada we have for sale!!

Listen to the Lamborghini Hurac'an fire up

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

Lamborghini just revealed all the juicy details about its 2015 Huracán this morning, but apparently Autobild was on hand for a photo shoot of the car, and shot this quick video of the new Lambo starting up. It's not a rev-happy video, but we're still happy a camera was on hand to capture the raucous exhaust note as the 610-horsepower V10 roared to life.
The note emanating from the Huracán's quad exhaust outlets doesn't sound quite as high-strung as an Aventador or Reventón, but it's definitely a throatier, more menacing sound than the Gallardo it was designed to replace. While the video posted below is a good tease of what the car sounds like in real life, we can't wait to hear this engine hitting its peak horsepower at 8,250 rpm.

Lamborghini walks us through improvements it made to the Huracan

Tue, Jun 1 2021

LE CASTELLET, France — Lamborghini's updated Huracan EVO2 will make its competition debut during the 2022 season of the Super Trofeo one-make series. Visually, it gains a new-look design that blazes the path future models — including production cars — will follow in the coming years. There's more to it than a face-lift, and we sat down with Leonardo Galante, the man in charge of technical development for Lamborghini's racing arm, to get the full scoop on the changes made. "It's a big step from EVO to EVO2, and we focused on three main pillars," Galante told us at the Paul Ricard track. Design is the first; aerodynamics is the second, and it's closely linked to design; braking performance is the third. Customers and enthusiasts will notice design before any of the mechanical changes, so Galante's team worked directly with Centro Stile, the company's in-house design department, to update the Huracan. The lights are thinner on both ends, and the rear units are embedded in a housing that echoes the Countach's back end. Air curtains are now positioned on either side of the front fascia, while a redesigned diffuser dominates the Huracan's rear end. Centro Stile and Squadra Corse had an equal influence on these updates. "We learned a lot in terms of shapes, about how to make a car look beautiful, and designers learned a lot about the principles of aerodynamics," Galante explained. "We worked together to define the best shapes to generate an efficient aerodynamic profile. We want to generate as much downforce as possible while creating as little drag as possible." Sculpting a car's aerodynamic profile isn't as straightforward as merely adding wings, spoilers, vents, and ducts to keep it glued to the ground around a turn. Galante stressed the quality of the downforce generated by the various add-ons is just as important as headline-grabbing figures. His aim was to keep the car as stable and predictable as possible, even when the weight balance shifts under heavy braking from triple-digit speeds. Feedback provided by Super Trofeo competitors since the beginning of the series helped his team dial in the right amount of downforce. Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo 2 View 11 Photos "With my group, I design the car, but I'm also here on the race track listening to the teams. When something is very good, or when something is very bad, I get immediate feedback. This is a very good part of my job," he said. Braking was one of the areas he wanted to improve.

2015 Lamborghini Huracan is getting twin-turbo Chevy power for SEMA

Fri, Oct 18 2019

Lamborghini purists avert your eyes, we have yet another LS swap on our hands. The crew behind the YouTube channel B is for Build is bringing a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan to the 2019 SEMA show. But it's not just a case of someone doing an LS swap to troll the world, nor is it just a basic LS. According to a press release from turbocharger manufacturer Garrett, which will host the Chevy-powered Lambo, the car was an engine-less wreck having been in a fire. So B is for Build team is rescuing a Lamborghini that would have otherwise been scrapped, not tearing apart an otherwise fine car. The engine that's going in isn't just a junkyard LS V8, either. It's a 7.0-liter example from a company called Texas Speed. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.   The team is also adding a pair of turbochargers, and according to the YouTube channel, it should make 1,500 horsepower at the wheels. That's in Koenigsegg and Bugatti territory. Making it all the sweeter is the fact the engine will be bolted up to a six-speed manual transmission, which came from an Audi R8. It looks like they'll even retain the sweet gated shifter the R8 had. You can check out how the build is going at the B is for Build YouTube channel. We've also embedded the latest video in which they start this twin-turbo monster for the first time. Jump to 10:54 to get straight into the successful start-ups.
