2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera Coupe 2-door 5.0l - Salvage on 2040-cars
United States
Hi Everyone.
I will now tell you a short story about this car. I bought it on Copart for 3 months ago. After that it shows that in Sweden ( Where i live ) it is not OK to own a car with a Salvage Certificate. So my thoughts was to get it fixed in the US, get a salvage rebuilt tilte then export it. The car is now located in a workshop in San Mateo ( California ) and they have been doing some work to the car. Adding a new gearbox actuator among other things. To be honest, i am now out of money, so the car is going to sell instead... The damage on the car comes from an accident. The car went over a curb and smashed the oil-pan, rims and so. It is now original Gallardo rims on the car, and some other repairs has been done along the way. It is an Original Superleggera that was only built in 172 cars! Some Superleggera parts has been removed / stolen. My thoughts was to restore this back to its former glory. With only 172 cars built it is worth to save it! I haven't seen the car yet, so i cant really answer to much of your questions. I just want to get it sold, and buy a car that's actually in Sweden next time... :) But feel free to ask if you have any questions. P.S Some pictures are old ( From January, when i bought it on auction ) the car has been fixed with alot of stuff. ECU?s mounted, Actuator mounted, polished, interior repair, and so on... The speedometer says 82528 miles. |

Lamborghini invades Miami with Aventador parade, high-speed runs at airport [w/video]
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Lamborghini is only starting to throttle the engines on its 50th anniversary celebrations. The company lined up fifty of its Italian jobs for a cannonball run down the south runway at the Miami International Airport, the Aventador Roadster breaking 200 miles per hour, then ran them all through the streets of Miami to be properly introduced to one of their most ardent clienteles.
Contrary to the appearance of the image above, no airplanes had to wait to taxi behind the ground-based flyers. Not that any of them would have had to wait long, though, since the 700-horsepower Aventador Roadsters were exceeding the lift-off speeds of commercial airliners by at least 30 mph.
There's a press release and a video below, along with a gallery of high-res photos of the day's events. Enjoy.
The Lamborghini Huracan Performante lapped the Nurburgring in under 7 minutes
Wed, Mar 1 2017Lamborghini just released new footage of its Huracan Performante at the Nurburgring, and along with it some big news. The car managed to lap the 'Ring in a stunningly quick time of 6:52. That time puts it ahead of the Porsche 918 Spyder's record of 6:57 by a massive 5 seconds. It's also just 4 seconds shy of the Radical SR8LM, which barely qualifies as a street-legal car. Though the Huracan Performante isn't the first Lamborghini to crack the seven-minute mark at the Nurburgring, it's done it by the largest margin. The Aventador LP750-4 SV was the first Lambo under 7 minutes with a time of 6:59.73. Lamborghini hasn't released specifications for this new Huracan, but it reportedly produces 630 horsepower from a V10 engine, which is substantially less than its slower 740-horsepower Aventador SV sibling. Odds are it was helped on the track by lighter weight, and the reported active aerodynamics on-board. Check out the video above in its entirety. And then check back during the Geneva Show to see the full reveal of this monstrously fast Lambo. Related Video:
One-off Lamborghini supercar coming to Geneva
Fri, Aug 14 2015At a reception in Monterey, CA, last night, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann confirmed something we've kinda-sorta known for a while. The Italian automaker will debut a one-off supercar – sort of like the Veneno – at the Geneva Motor Show next year. We don't know anything about the bespoke machine, but Road & Track suggests it'll be a hybrid. Even though Lamborghini is iffy on this powertrain technology, electrification is a good way to make sure this supercar is on the same level as things like the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder. Makes sense to us. Even though Lamborghini won't publicly show the car until March, a few folks are getting a preview this weekend in Monterey. Lamborghini invited a very small, very special group of owners and prospective customers to check out the supercar. Of course, we aren't sure if they're seeing the actual car or just some drawings or renderings. Not that it matters. We're sure this will be another case of the car already being spoken for as soon as it makes its debut. Related Video:
