Up for sale is an EXTREMELY rare Lamborghini Murcielago in PRISTINE condition!  This RARE offering of a 6 speed gated shifter and rear wheel drive combination makes the driving experience of this Murcielago just PURE astonishing.  It's a well documented Murci that comes with $30k in service record receipts as the previous owner was just as meticulous as me in taking care of the car.  A NEW clutch was installed just 4k miles ago!  Other service includes: NEW coil packs, NEW eibach adjustable coilover suspension, NEW water pump, NEW belt, NEW brake rotors, NEW brake pads, routine fluid changes, spark plug change, etc.  All the major service has been done.  All the major items that Murci buyers worry about getting done are ALREADY done.  This is the TURN KEY Murci to buy with documents to back it up.  I also have a recent PPI that can be provided as well.  The car has been TASTEFULLY upgraded over the last 6 months with several nice additions including:  -D2Forged SUPER Concave 3 piece forged wheels with brushed aluminum face/ chrome lip wrapped in Toyo tires 345/25/20 rears 235/35/19 fronts -Hyper Blue Metallic full body wrap (including door sills)  -Full custom black Alcantara interior -Fabspeed exhaust system (Beautiful V12 Exhaust note) -Upgraded Alpine audio system including subwoofer, CD player, 6 disc changer -Built in Radar/ Laser detector/ Jammer. Lamborghini stopped offering true 3 pedal 6 speed manual transmissions which makes this a HIGH demand car with values increasing rapidly!  There are less than 5 gated shifter 6speed manual Murci's for sale in the ENTIRE country at any given time.  No accident history, No paint work, No stories.  Not a single rock chip on it as the entire front bumper, front bonnet and front fenders are covered in 3M clear bra.  The rare Lamborghini color Nero Pegaso Metallic paint (gloss black) is in IMMACULATE condition.  A clean Carfax can be provided.  Looking to start another project, so this one must go, but only to a good home otherwise I'll keep it.  Please contact me (Theo) with any questions or concerns at 262-960-1640 or theomarshall04@yahoo.com.  Sold as is where currently located.  SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE.  Happy Bidding!!!

Recharge Wrap-up: Energica Ego drag race video, GM recycles Flint Crisis water bottles

Mon, Aug 29 2016

Watch the electric Energica Ego streetbike face off against a race-spec Kawasaki and Lamborghini. First, the street-legal EV bike takes on the Pedercini Racing World Superbike Kawasaki ZX-10R. While they're about equally matched in 0-62 mph acceleration (at three seconds), the race-spec Kawasaki appears to finish first. It's a closer finish compared to the stock version of the bike. The Energica, however, leaves the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570 Super Trofeo far behind in the quarter mile. Watch the video above, and if you're hungry for more, watch the Energica Ego take on a Tesla and a Ferrari in an earlier video. GM is recycling 2 million water bottles from the crisis in Flint, Michigan to make coats for the homeless, engine covers, and air filters. The bottles are an addition to the automaker's ongoing Do Your Part recycling program. Of the 2 million bottles being transformed into other products, a number will become engine covers for the Chevrolet Equinox V6, while others will be turned into air filters for 10 GM manufacturing facilities. The most novel and noble use, though, will be to turn the recycled plastic fleece into coats for the homeless. The coats themselves – which are made by formerly homeless women through The Empowerment Plan – transform into sleeping bags. Read more from GM. An urban mobility organization called the Transit Center is calling for simpler bus routes to make riding more bearable. Using the hastag #StraighterIsGreater, the group has called upon citizens to share the most convoluted routes that lead to long, boring, inconvenient, and inefficient travel. The Transit Center believes smarter, simpler bus routes would improve commute times and help convince more people to use public transportation. There are certainly obstacles to streamlining routes while continuing to accommodate the most riders, though, but many people are sharing their favorite successful examples on Twitter. Watch a Lamborghini change color thanks to thermochromic paint

Thu, Jul 30 2015

German artist Rene Turrek went from being a punk kid using spray paint to illegally tag walls to a global celebrity artist working with clients such as Mattel and Nikon. He may have become a little more corporate, but he still finds a way to do some playful work for himself. Recently he has turned his attention to creating incredible paint jobs on some pretty cool cars. Turrek released this video last week of his Lamborghini Gallardo, which at first just seems like a pretty purplish color. But a little bit of water splashed on the hood reveals an awesome tribute to that most awesome of crimefighters, Captain America. Turrek isn't some sort of nerdy witch. The car is coated in thermochromic paint, which reacts to temperature changes. When not activated, the Lambo is disguised as a mild-mannered purple supercar. A cup or two of warm water thrown on the special paint and it becomes translucent, revealing the car's true colors. After a few moments the paint becomes opaque again. Turrek calls the work 'The First Avenger.' We've seen a similar use of the paint on a R33 Nissan Skyline, which allowed the car to turn from orange to black and back to orange again. This isn't the first superhero supercar Turrek has produced. He also created a BMX X6 that looked blue under normal conditions, but revealed The Incredible Hulk on the hood when hit with warm water. Unfortunately the disappearing effect fades once the paint is exposed to too much sunlight, so to keep the paint job safe these cool cars would have to be kept in the dark. And at $400 a pint, Thermochromic paint can cost thousands of dollars to coat a car. It may not be the most cost-effective way to enhance your ride, but certainly one of the coolest. Related: Video:

Actor Eric Bana returning to Bathurst 12 enduro race

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

Eric Bana joins the field of the 2014 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour race next month, driving for the Australian FXD Workwear team. Bana's done the race twice before, coming in tenth overall in 2009 in his Love the Beast Mitsubishi Lancer RS Evo X, posting a DNF in the same car in 2010.
This year he'll be in Class B behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 prepared by Racing Incident, joined by teammates Peter Hill and Simon Middleton. The race happens during the weekend of February 7-9, you can find a press release with the announcement below. You'll want to take the time to get to know it this year, because it's been widely reported that Eric Bana will return next year to share a Porsche 911 GT3 with Mark Webber.
