2008 LAMBORGHINI MURCIELAGO LP 640 ROADSTER EGEAR in balloon white.  Very nice car before getting a broke fender in Los Angeles, car is currently in Kingman Arizona about to be moved to Louisiana for repair.  The Opportunity to own this highly desirable car for a fraction of the cost is in a small window, so if you snooze you lose.  The front left suspension needs a lower control arm which is about 2 grand new.  The back rear suspension needs a new upright hub which is about 1200 new.  It also needs a windshield, airbags, and a front left wheel.   The rest, still hold air.  This car comes with ceramic brakes which are all still good.  No broken rotors or calipers. No key.  Rack and pinion still attached.  Shocks look good.  Axles are fine.  The front frame lattice will need to be pressed back over.  I do have a front section you can replace it completely if you like (no extra charge) , but it is nothing much more than bicycle tubing to deal with.  The left front headlight is broken and will need a new lens and repair.  (easy to make)  It will need a new left fender which is broken.  They are available cheap in fiberglass or a couple grand new.  I have another lp bumper and hood that can be used to repair those items.  (no extra charge)  .  The floor pan, engine drive line and trans are all in good shape. Good luck bidding.  Car leaves Arizona within 24 to 48 hours so keep an eye for the update when it leaves for Louisiana $1000.00 shipping bill will attach to invoice.  Payment by bank wire in 72 hours. Must have cash on barrel head, or gold coins, no trades of any sort.  That is... no trades of any sort. (unless you have a Pagani Roadster)  Crash looks bad, but structure is good allowing suspension to be easily replaced by a few bolts.  Suspension tabs are all in good condition.  Only the extreme front rails are knocked to the right.  They are easily pulled or pressed back over.  Do it all the time. I have personally inspected this vehicle. Deposits non refundable.  Doors open and close fine.  Doors are not bent. No top.

Lamborghini exploring more elegant designs

Sat, Feb 14 2015

Ferrari's front-engined V12s and mid-engined V8s have taken turns monopolizing the brand's perception; the 550 Maranello was probably the last front-engined V12 to be first-to-mind, now the 458 Italia leads the family. Not so at Lamborghini, where a mid-engined V12 has been the go-to and centerpiece since the extraterrestrial Countach landed, and it still is no matter how much the Huracan outsells the Aventador. That shape, those doors, that engine – they're the franchise. That doesn't mean Lamborghini isn't trying new things. The Asterion LPI 910-4 concept from last year's Paris Motor Show was more than the marque's first draft of a hybrid, it was an exploration of a different avenue in design. According to design chief Filippo Perini, "We need to understand if we can open another window in our future to be not so extreme but also a little bit more politically correct and elegant." The Asterion points at elegance and "a daily use of the car" with more room inside, a slimmer rocker panel and sill for easier entry, and a raised hip point in the seats for a higher driving position. Perini said that from the driver's seat, "You can see the color of the car. That is something unknown in our very extreme designs." Extreme Lamborghinis aren't going away, however – note that Perini spoke of opening "another window" of design. The goal, he said, "is to understand if [its] design language will be appreciated by a different kind of customer." We can't imagine why not, and we hope we get more news about the "hyper cruiser" GT outside of magazine articles and auto show grandstanding. If it were up to us, Lamborghini would open that window all the way.

Lamborghini Miura owner sues garage over million-dollar car-b-que [w/video]

Mon, Dec 1 2014

Remember about a year and a half ago when a rare, classic Lamborghini Miura SV went up in flames in London? Its owner sure does. And he's not willing to write it off, pointing fingers squarely at the Lamborghini dealership in London for causing the fire. It may seem like a difficult case to make, especially since the Miura was not in the dealership's possession when the fire erupted – the owner's son was driving it, but he was driving it home from the dealer where it had been brought in for service. According to the suit filed by the vehicle's owner, billionaire property agent Jon Hunt, the mechanics at the dealership owned by high-end automotive group H.R. Owen must have improperly fitted the spark plugs during the Miura's service. Lamborghini's official dealership should have known better, says Mr. Hunt. That's why Hunt is suing the dealership to the tune of GBP700,000, equivalent to over $1 million at today's rates, plus storage costs and "loss of enjoyment." The vehicle – one of only 764 made – was evaluated at GBP900,000, but Hunt's suit deducts the GBP200,000 it was worth as scrap. We've included footage of the fire below, but it's not for the weak of heart when it comes to watching an irreplaceable classic supercar burning to the ground. Lamborghini launches Polo Storico heritage division

Mon, Apr 20 2015

Lamborghini has always been more forward-looking than it has been focused on its past, but it has still left an undeniable wake of historically noteworthy and highly collectable classics. To tend to them, the company has launched Lamborghini Polo Storico. Sant'Agata's heritage division brings with it new initiatives and consolidates several existing operations under one roof. For starters, the new department will be responsible for the Archivio Storico Lamborghini, a historical archive detailing the company's past models as well as materials and techniques employed in their construction – all of which is being digitized for the first time. Polo Storico will also stockpile original parts and (if necessary) reproduce them from the original blueprints. The services will extend to offering customers the chance to have their classic Lambos restored by experts at the factory using original parts, and even have the vehicle's authenticity certified by a technical committee. Of course Lamborghini isn't the first European automaker to offer such comprehensive services for its historic models. Arch-rival Ferrari launched its Classiche department several years ago, and more recently Land Rover opened a similar operation of its own. These developments underline an increasing emphasis that automakers have been putting on their own heritage and the preservation of their history in the metal. Aprile, 2015 – Automobili Lamborghini is relaunching its restoration center under the name of Lamborghini Polo Storico. The new department includes the brand's historical archives, the vehicle restoration center, vehicle certification, and guarantees the availability of numerous genuine spare parts for all historical Lamborghini models. With its new Polo Storico, Automobili Lamborghini emphasizes the importance of preserving its broad heritage and unique knowledge. A big part of this new formula is the Archivio Storico Lamborghini. This historical archive includes the documentation of historical Lamborghini car models, as well as technical schemes, body colors, leathers, images and several publications ever made by the company.
