How to drive a Lamborghini Huracan off-road

Lamborghinis may come with all-wheel drive, but they're hardly made for off-roading. At least not the type the LM002 was made for and until the new Urus arrives. But one driver Down Under evidently had his own idea of what the Huracan could handle. During the second day of this year's the Targa Tasmania rally, Tony Quinn left the road in his ten-cylinder Lambo and jumped a dirt embankment. The Scottish-Australian pet-food magnate claimed the stunt was deliberate, as you'll hear him explain in colorful language at the beginning of the video above. It's definitely not the fastest way around the corner, but Quinn hits the dirt too hard to look like an accident. Still, we're glad he did it in front of the camera purely for our viewing pleasure. Reviving the spirit of legendary road rallies like the Targa Florio and Mille Miglia, the Targa Tasmania has been held on the Australian island for over two decades. Quinn won the five-day event twice – in 2009 and 2011 – behind the wheel of a Nissan GT-R. Both Godzilla and the preceding Gallardo have claimed the checkered flag in Tasmania four times each, coming second only to the Porsche 911 that has won nine times. Quinn and his co-pilot Naomi Tillett are competing in the GT4 category this year and currently sit fourth in the class standings. Lamborghini announces new car coming to Paris with cryptic teaser

"Once perfection is achieved, you can just double it."
What in the name of Ferruccio Lamborghini does that mean? Well, we have no idea, and we think that's sorta the point. Lamborghini wants us to know that it's bringing something very interesting to the Paris Motor Show, and it wants the public and press alike wondering what it might have up its finely tailored sleeves.
Taking a look at the white-on-black line drawing that accompanies the teaser (click above to enlarge), we note a pretty clear fastback shape, which reminds us of the classic Espada, and we also know that the brand has long been considering a four-door sedan to add to its high-performance portfolio. Either way, a four-seater or a four-door machine could seemingly fit with the "double it" tagline of the teaser, and we're really just speculating anyway.

Man hired to remove Confederate monuments finds Lambo burned

A contractor in Louisiana is discovering that no good deed goes unpunished. After David Mahler, the owner of H&O Investments, was hired by the city of New Orleans to remove monuments to the rebellious Confederate States of America, he was subjected to death threats. Then his Lamborghini was set on fire. What's bizarre here is the sequence of events. The death threats started rolling in after Mahler was announced as the city's contractor to remove monuments to Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee, PGT Beauregard, and Confederate States of America President Jefferson Davis. Then the threatening phone calls started rolling in, New Orleans NBC affiliate WDSU reports. Mahler then pulled his company out of the job, but that didn't stop the torching of the new Huracan. A Baton Rouge Fire Department investigation into the fire at the H&O Investments office is still in progress, WDSU reports, but when Mahler's attorney calls the circumstances "extremely suspicious," it's not an unreasonable statement. The car was utterly unrecognizable after the fire. You can make out the tires and seat frames, and a lump of melted metal where the engine used to be, but that's about all that's left of Sant'Agata's new entry-level model.
