2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera Carbon Ceramics + Nav + Lnb Exhaust on 2040-cars
New Albany, Ohio, United States
2008 Lamborghini Superleggera finished in Grigio Telesto exterior with black Alcantara interior. The SL is powered by a 5.0L V10 producing 530HP with a 6 speed E-gear transmission. This car is nearly loaded with every factory option besides homelink and a fire extinguisher. It is equipped with Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Navigation, Carbon Fiber Interior, Carbon Fiber Exterior (including large wing), Rear Backup Camera, & Superleggera Floor Mats. I have also installed a few tasteful mods which include an LNB exhaust, Fabspeed bypass pipes, tinted windows, upgraded steering wheel, and also lowered the car. The SL is also wrapped with a clear bra in the front and a portion of the rear to help protect the finish. This Superleggera is 1 of 172 in the US for 2008 and 1 of 34 in this color. I’m the second owner of the car and purchased it in Aug 2012 with 8000 miles. I had the car fully inspected and properly detailed at delivery. I also changed the fluids and put a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports on all four corners. The clutch snap showed approx. 30% remaining at that time. Over the last couple of years the car has always been garaged, professionally maintained, and detailed. I have all service records and receipts from the time I purchased the car. Lamborghini Urus to get twin-turbo V8
Tue, Dec 1 2015The Lamborghini Urus won't use one of the Italian supercar brand's familiar V10 or V12 engines upon its arrival around 2018, but will instead pack a Lambo-exclusive twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8. Company boss Stephan Winkelmann and research chief Maurizio Reggiani confirmed the powerplant selection to Autocar, which verified earlier rumors. The choice of turbocharging rather than the brand's usual naturally aspirated mills comes returns lower carbon dioxide emissions and a greater breadth of torque from the powerband. Even if Urus owners never take the CUV off-road, Lamborghini's engineers want it to be possible. They feel that significant grunt at low revs is necessary for the vehicle to excel in the dirt, and the company only plans to offer the Urus with all-wheel drive. Winkelmann also promises the model to live up to the automaker's huge performance reputation. "This engine is not used by anybody else, only for Lamborghini. To be the most powerful in the class it must have something that is dedicated to our brand," he said to Autocar. For buyers looking for even more exclusivity from their Lamborghini crossover, the company could offer multiple variations of the Urus after the initial launch. Winkelmann re-confirmed to Autocar that both a plug-in hybrid version and high-performance Superveloce are under consideration; there also could be a luxury-focused edition. The company hasn't signed off on any of these yet, though. Lamborghini will build the Urus in a new factory near its headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese, and the brand will hope to deliver around 3,000 of them annually. Expect the final model to look like an evolved version of the earlier concept. Autocar claims prices for the UK market similar to the Aventador, which starts at around $400,000 in the US. Lamborghini owner parks Countach near London Tower Bridge, everyone freaks
Fri, 10 Oct 2014With its razor-sharp wedge shape, high performance and minuscule ride height, the Lamborghini Countach has always been a supercar made to be gawked at and grab attention. Even the model's name supposedly comes from an Italian exclamation. But not all recognition is positive, as is the case with this Lamborghini illegally parked within sight of London's famed Tower Bridge.
According to The Telegraph, this white Countach was reportedly abandoned after running out of fuel, blocking a lane in the process. In that time, someone apparently attempted to scratch off part of its no-parking sticker. In the end, the supercar was hooked up and lifted onto a flatbed truck to be towed away, drawing a sizable crowd in the process. Those interviewed seemed pretty upset and mystified that someone would illegally park the car there.
According to The Telegraph, the owner was traced via license plate, whereupon it was discovered there was a warrant out for his arrest on harassment charges. He was subsequently arrested in London and later released on bail. Sadly, there's no word yet on whether the classic Lamborghini was released with its owner or if its angular self is sitting in an impound lockup somewhere.
Leno hops behind the wheel of Adam Carolla's 1968 Lamborghini Islero
Tue, Jan 20 2015The Last time Adam Carolla was on Jay Leno's Garage with his 1966 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2, the vintage Italian ran out of gas while out on the drive. Leno has found endless humor in this since, and continues to rib Carolla about not driving his cars enough. With the famous comedian and podcaster's return to JLG, he has switched Italian supercar brands to show off his recently restored 1968 Lamborghini Islero. One of just 125 made, the Islero is a rare piece of Lambo history. The styling is a bit of a departure from the brand's early GTs with a more angular shape and pop-up headlights. The rear is also especially beautiful, with four exhaust outlets poking out like stingers. Underneath the hood is the Italian brand's famous and aesthetically beautiful V12 with four liters of displacement. Take a short ride in this sports coupe and listen to Leno's constant needling of Carolla right up until the very end.
