Lamborghini takes Veneno out to play on wet Vallelunga [w/video]

Mon, 25 Nov 2013

With only four examples in existence, you're not very likely to ever see a Lamborghini Veneno roaming your local highways and byways. That's what makes this clip a little out of the ordinary.
Lamborghini brought the super-rare supercar out to the Vallelunga circuit near Rome for the World Finals of its Super Trofeo series, where, incidentally, American driver Andrew Palmer beat out the competition from Europe and Asia to claim the world title. Prospective buyers for the even more expensive Veneno Roadster were taken for laps to give them a taste of what to expect, because with no roof whatsoever, the open-top supercar wouldn't be our choice for a drive in the rain.
Lambo also brought out the Sesto Elemento, the previous release from the company's new prototype development center, to play on the wet track alongside the anthracite Veneno that remains the company's property. Check out the action in the image gallery above and the video below.

$100,000 reward offered to help recover stolen Lamborghini

Wed, Nov 11 2015

Have you seen this Lamborghini? If so, Pinkerton wants to hear from you. And if your information leads to the recovery of the vehicle in question, the private detective agency could give you a reward of $100,000. According to Pinkerton, the white 2015 Lamborghini Aventador roadster was stolen in New York on October 28. It was last seen at the corner of Fowler Road and College Point Boulevard in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens, but the agency says it could have been spirited away to Atlanta – or even sent overseas. Pinkerton is asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of this vehicle to call 1-800-478-3403. The $100,000 reward being offered in exchange amounts to less than a quarter of the vehicle's $440k purchase price – which is what the insurance agency would surely have to pay out if the vehicle is not recovered. Pinkerton Offers $100,000 Reward For Tips That Lead To The Recovery Of A Stolen 2015 Lamborghini Aventador Convertible UPDATE: Theft Tied to Persons in Atlanta, Georgia NEW YORK, Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Pinkerton today announces it is offering a $100,000 reward for tips that lead to the recovery of a white 2015 Lamborghini Aventador Convertible, stolen on October 28th. The vehicle was last seen at the intersection of Fowler Road and College Point Boulevard in Flushing New York. Although the vehicle was last spotted in New York City, it is suspected that there are ties to persons in the Atlanta, Georgia, area. Anyone with information on the location of the stolen Lamborghini is asked to call 1-(800)-478-3403. Related Video:

Harry Metcalfe finds out if the Lamborghini Huracan lives up to the Countach

Wed, Apr 22 2015

Former Evo editor Harry Metcalfe might not be as prolific with his Harry's Garage videos as Jay Leno, but the Brit certainly makes up for not releasing continual content with quality, knowledge and passion. Already a Lamborghini fan, Metcalfe is now getting behind the wheel of the Huracan and positions it side by side with his own Countach. Metcalfe brings two fascinating focuses to his videos that you don't often see in clips like this. First, he loves the details, and you get looks at sometimes-ignored elements of the Huracan like its stalkless steering wheel layout and door handle design. Also, he treats part of his drive like a buyer's guide and suggests what option boxes to tick or leave alone. Among those, Metcalfe has absolutely nothing nice to say about Lamborghini's variable ratio steering system, and this one features the standard rack. Unfortunately, you do have to deal with some road noise during Metcalfe's drive that can make him somewhat difficult to hear. The advantage is that once he's out of town, viewers get an earful of the Huracan's screaming V10 engine. Related Video:
