OK, I am officially listing my car up for sale. To begin, YES, I know my car has more miles than most Lamborghinis! I drive it every day and every where and love it to pieces . . . so, again, YES it has 38,000+ miles on it. Given that, I am sure any buyer will have a a multitude of questions to ask of me.  I am available virtually anytime by email (andrew.sweet13@gmail.com) and will work hard to make myself available via cell (704.608.5050). I should also mention that I have a ton of high resolution photos that I can easily send to those interested. Here are the highlights:

- Full factory warranty remaining through August 2014 (option remains to extend for 2 years). Clearly the car has no mechanical issues as they would have been addressed under the warranty. Literally not a thing to be addressed on the car. Starts, runs and pulls hard every day.
- New, proper tires 3k miles ago.
- Fully serviced including most recent full fluid and filters done ~250 mi ago.
- Front half of the car has spent its entire life in clear bra.
- No body damage, accidents, paint work, etc. Clear title / Carfax
- I am the second owner and purchased the car ~7 months ago from Lamborghini Atlanta with a PPI
- All keys, tools and car cover
- New OEM SL floormats at time of purchase

Lowlights / full-disclosure:
- Front right wheel lightly curbed (parking garage brain fart)
- Had small portion of driver side seat bolster re upholstered - the color match is not exact
- Plastic engine covers/surrounds are not on the car (were not there when I purchased)
- As one would expect, suede steering wheel is matted, per usual
- Very small chip in wing clear coat (should not have opened engine bay in low garage) - size of a BB
- Small paint blemish near gas cap (looks like previous owner hit it with gas nozzle) - less than size of a dime

That's it. Super solid car that is a ton of fun. One heck of a great driver.

Would like to consummate a quick sale here. $2k non-refundable deposit due at time of auction close.  Full payment due 5 business days after auction closes.

Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster loses roof, keeps the speed

Wed, Sep 6 2017

Supercar builders seem to becoming good at making convertibles that make negligible sacrifices. McLaren recently launched the 570S Spyder, which is exactly as fast, stiff and efficient as the coupe with only about 100 pounds of extra weight. Now, Lamborghini has done virtually the same thing with its flagship Aventador S Roadster. The Aventador S Roadster features the same naturally aspirated V12 as its hard-headed twin, and it makes the same 729 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque. That engine will take the roadster to the same 217 mph top speed as the Aventador S coupe. The only sacrifices appear to be that the roadster weighs 110 pounds more than the coupe, and it has a claimed 0-62 mph time a tenth of a second slower. But we're not sure you'll care about that tenth of a second with the wind in your hair and the V12's exhaust note in your ears. And if you ever get tired of the exposure to the elements, you'll always have the top with you, since the top panels, weighing roughly 13 pounds a piece, can be stowed in the front trunk. Actually, there is one extra sacrifice to choosing the convertible, and that would be the price. The Aventador S Roadster has a starting MSRP of $460,247. That's roughly $40,000 more than the coupe. That could get you a well-optioned and customized Aventador S coupe, but no amount of custom interior configurations can get you the full auditory experience the Roadster can. The Lamborghini Urus finally starts production in April

Mon, Feb 6 2017

It's been years since Lamborghini pulled back the cover on the Urus, the automaker's first SUV since the bold and boxy LM002. Since then we've gotten a few details on the twin-turbo V8 and the plug-in hybrid system, but no one outside of Lamborghini has had a chance to get behind the wheel. According to company CEO Stefano Domenicali, the wait won't be much longer as Lamborghini's newest model is slated to start production this spring. In an interview with Digital Trends, Domenicali stated that pre-production models will start rolling off the line in April. That means it will still be a few months before the first batch reaches customer hands. According to The Drive, Lamborghini has significantly expanded its facility in Sant'Agata, Italy, in order to meet production demands. Annual output for the Huracan and Aventador will be capped at 3,500 cars each. Look for similar output for the Urus. We know that the Urus will get a plug-in hybrid system, but don't look for a battery-powered Aventador anytime soon. The Urus will be the only model that gets the system. There are still a lot of unknowns when it comes to the Urus, so look for final numbers on power, performance, and price closer to final production. LAPD now on patrol with its own Lamborghini Gallardo

Mon, 17 Mar 2014

Last year, the Dubai Police made news by purchasing a string of supercars to act as patrol vehicles around the city. Apparently, a generous family in Los Angeles thought that the LAPD needed to keep up with the Joneses, because they recently donated use of their Lamborghini Gallardo. Unfortunately, you won't be seeing the Italian coupe in any high-speed chases, as it's being used exclusively for display at charity events.
The Lamborghini has arrived courtesy of Nathalie and Travis Marg, proprietors of telecommunications contractor Light Source 1 Inc. They approached the force with the idea to use the supercar because "they admire what the LAPD does for the community," said LAPD Sergeant Frank Preciado to Autoblog. Galpin Auto Sports was tapped for the custom wrap to make it look like a police car, and according to Sgt. Preciado, the police force can use the car indefinitely. Importantly, the LAPD says no tax dollars have been expended on this vehicle.
The LAPD Gallardo will be on display to the public at Los Angeles County Air Show on March 21-22, and Sgt. Preciado said the police have already received many inquiries to display the car at other events. The police have even set up dedicated Twitter and Instagram accounts to promote its newest addition. Too bad it won't be catching speeders anytime soon.
