WARRANTY: Extended GM Protection Plan (Major Guard) bumper to bumper good until 1/25/2018 or 63,823 miles (whichever comes first) with a $0 deductible and is completely transferable.

CERTIFIED MULTI POINT INSPECTION: This ZR1 has passed this 27 point inspection on tires, brakes, lights, etc from the Chevrolet dealer with all the light bulbs working 100%, plus a Ny state emissions & safety inspection , and has zero issues.

UPGRADES:  This auction is for the vehicle described on this page plus 2 additions of LIGHTING & 3M PROTECTION WRAP as follows:
LIGHTING:  upgraded aftermarket   HiD (high intensity discharge) bulbs: Hi beams & reverse lamp & LED (light emitting diode): Front parking & blinkers, courtesy & fog lamps.
3M PROTECTION WRAP:  Nearly the entire car has been wrapped in this revolutionary invisible protection system: Front bumper, hood, both front fenders, both headlights, both fog lights, roof, roof bow, both rear quarter panels & passenger side mirror.  And this is a 'seamless' style wrap.

CONDITION: Car has been kept in a heated garage and detailed four times a year.  1 scratch on bottom of passenger side rocker though 3M protection wrap took most of the damage, 3 tiny visible nicks on front bumper protection wrap only and 3 nicks on roof bow though only 1 went through the wrap & LF wheel has 4 nicks ( remaining 3 wheels have none.)  There is one smudge of glue left from a previous radar detector installed on tunnel where your right knee would rest.  All are documented in pictures.

INSURANCE DISCOUNT:  Vehicle includes anti-theft VIN etching which is good for a 5%+ reduction per year on from more insurance companies.

MAINTENANCE:  New OEM tires all around, Mobile 1 synthetic oil change October, 2013

TITLE:  Original transmission malfunctioned at 3000 miles and a replacement couldnt be found for 90 days causing GM to buy back the car, install a new OEM transmission, and add lemon info to the title.  I've had the car for about 15k miles and only 2 things went wrong: the catalytic converters and an ABS sensor, which the warranty covers 100%. This is a very reliable car and its GUARANTEED by the factory until 2018.

This incredible life-size Lamborghini Aventador is made out of paper

Sun, 08 Sep 2013

We've all screwed around with the cutting and folding fun that results from paper model making over here at the Autoblog Craft Workshop (not a real thing), but we've yet to dive into a project with real scale. Thankfully, dedicated hobbyists the world over are taking care of the heavy lifting for us on this front.
Years back we brought you images of an Epson team mid-build with a full-scale Honda NSX racecar, and that project might still be the granddaddy of the genre (though this Audi A7 and this Bugatti Veyron are pretty good, too). But the Lamborghini Aventador police interceptor model seen here, measuring eight-feet long, is right up there. Gaming fans will recognize the Need For Speed inspiration for the wood pulp Lambo, and after watching the fast-motion video of the entire build process we should all be able to recognize the hard work that went into the car's completion.
Taras Lesko is the designer behind this mammoth paper project; you can read a bit of detail about what went into the build on his website, or you can scroll down to watch it for yourself.

Bertone goes bust

Mon, Mar 17 2014

The famous Italian coachbuilder and designer Bertone may be on its deathbed. The company that penned the beautiful shape of the Lamborghini Miura has been facing financial hardships for months, and Autocar is reporting that the Turin, Italy firm has just declared bankruptcy. The last we heard from Bertone, it was showing the Jet 2+2 station wagon based on an Aston Martin Rapide at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The Turin-based carrozzeria became famous for its wild designs like the BMW Spicup concept, Lancia Stratos and the initial shape of the Lamborghini Countach. In recent years, it had been limited to creating mostly one-off vehicles. The company has slowly been shrinking recently. It sold its small factory to Fiat a few years go and let go of 165 employees and 10 interns in December. Bertone has been shopping itself in hopes of finding a new owner. According to PistonHeads, even with the money problems, the business generated 20-million euros ($27.9 million) in revenue in 2013 and has been working on projects in China. A Turkish firm was rumored to be interested in buying it for just $2.7 million, and GT Spirit claims that there are also seven Italian companies potentially interested in purchasing it. Bertone has a long and proud automotive history, and it wouldn't be surprising if it were bought just for the value of the brand – perhaps we haven't seen the last of its stylized B logo. Road & Track goes inside Lamborghini's Sant'Agata engine factory

Sat, Mar 28 2015

While it's fair to think that the Lamborghini factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese is a place where mustachioed Italian sorcerers weave spells into hypercars, the truth is sadly far less magical (although the results are just as impressive). Road & Track took a peek behind the curtain and toured the home of Lamborghini's engine works, where the 691-horsepower thumper from the Aventador is bolted together. Not only is it an interesting look inside the facility, R&T's host provides a great contrast with the current facility and its low-tech past.
