2006 Ford Mustang Gt 5.0l Nos Alcohol Supercharged 1000hp Modified Show Car on 2040-cars
Wright City, Missouri, United States
You are looking at a one of a kind Mustang GT, this is no ordinary GT by any means. This is a true “Sleeper” car. This has been a very long project car slowly in the making. Over the past 6 years this car has had about $100,000 invested to turn it into what it is today. The car runs on 93 octane pump gas and this is a plus to anyone who knows. No race fuel required to get this kind of power. I will do my best to list most of the items and provide you with the most detail that I possibly can. This car was built to be a “Bragging Rights” car; it has only seen the track a hand full of times. The last time the car was at the track it ran 140MPH at 10.7 seconds. The gentleman that owns it is 65 and retired and just wanted a toy ,but got hooked and went to the extreme with this car. This car is barely driven and the motor and all the upgrades have less than 30,000 miles on it and even less on the built motor. All work was professionally done by Craven Performance who is local in St. Peters and motor work was done by Modular Mustang Racing based in California.
Here is a breakdown of just some of the goodies. Motor - Ford V8 bored and stroked to 5.0L all forged components, ARP head studs. Stage 2 Comp Cams, high lift comp Valve Springs, Stage 2 Port and Polish, Manley rods and Pistons, Forged Crank MLS head gaskets . All engine work was done by MMR (Modular Mustang Racing) This motor was built to handle 1000HP - $25,000 http://www.modularmotorsportsracing.com/ based in California. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0IP7wAEjeg&list=UUSXgmxAllUNymdy6RiMToxw&index=2 Supercharger - ProCharger D-1SC with F-1 internals, with custom 3" pipping 22 1/2 pounds of boost, C&L intake manifold. http://www.procharger.com/models.shtml - $7000 Intercooler – Procharger – air to air cooled intercooler - $2000 Transmission – TR6060 Ford GT Racing 6-speed manual transmission, Mcleod twin disc clutch, upgraded 2nd Gear Carbon Fiber Blocker Ring Set, Shelby GT500 shifter; one piece drive shaft- $7500 Nitrous – NANO (Nitrogen Assisted Nitrous Oxide) NX Dual nozzle wet system with 100 shot with Max 4 Nitrous Controller and Purge Valve - $4000 Alcohol – Painless Alcohol with dual nozzle Alky Control Meth System - $3000 Injectors – ID1000cc’s and MMR Billet Fuel Rails - $2000 Suspension – (BMR Drag Suspension) Tubular K-Member weight distribution custom kit and Extreme Anti-Roll Bar Kit, Shelby GT500 Double Adjustable Shock/coilovers. - $6000 Fuel System – completely custom Returnless Fuel System by Fuel Lab http://fuelab.com/ - $3000 Headers – MMR Long Tube Headers - $1000 Exhaust – Full Magna Flow Exhaust - $2000 Paint – Matte Flat Black - $4000 Hood – 3” Cowl Induction Hood - $1500 Wheels & Tires – 18” 5 spoke black powder coated wheels / Rear: 345/35R18 with brand new Mickey Thompson Street Radials / Front: 275/40R18 with new Nitto NT555 - $2500 Gauges – 3 AEM – Air/Fuel & Boost & Oil - $2000 This is the major items that have been done to the car, I cannot list every small thing and gasket that has been replaced and/or upgraded, there is just too much to list. But this will give you an idea of how much has been put into this car. There is virtually nothing left that is stock on the engine, tranmission, suspension and so on. About the only thing that is left stock is the interior, nothing too major there except gauges and purge button. There is an appraisal on the car and has a Fair Market Value of $55,000. Per the appraisal most everything has been rated a "2" which is right below "1/ Excellent" as almost a pure show car. It cannot be labeled a pure show car because it is driven and was meant to be driven. I have more pictures of it if you would like to see more feel free to ask. Watch the Lamborghini Hurac'an LP 610-4 do donuts in Project Hexagon
Sun, 22 Dec 2013Before we officially met the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 recently, and even before Autobild got to hear it start during its presentation, the Gallardo replacement had been whipped into smokey donuts in the dark of a Sant' Agata night as part of Project Hexagon. That was a four-episode series of short films that followed a trio of Brits determined to see the Huracán before its reveal. They did such a good job that they were able to play Grand Theft Auto in the Lamborghini HQ parking lot.
You'll find all four episodes below, but if you're looking for a more thrilling taste of the baby Lambo than Autobild could give us, then head straight to the final entry. Someone chose to lay a loud musical track over the revving, so try to ignore it and enjoy the 610-horsepower V10 underneath.
2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante Second Drive | The Lambo of the moment
Wed, Nov 1 2017Down the front straight, past the pits, over the start/finish line, sixth gear at 140 mph. Suddenly, the shrieking wail of the 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante's mid-mounted V-10 and hits me right between the eyes. It's an easy shot, since I'm wearing an open-face helmet. Speed is not a problem for the Performante. This new lighter and more powerful version of the Huracan is the best-performing Lambo of all time. It just set the new production-car record around the Nurburgring Nordschleife of 6 minutes, 52.1 seconds. That's 35 seconds quicker than the standard Huracan. And Lambo says it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds, which is as quick as the Aventador S. Its 202-mph top speed still lags the top end of the V-12-powered Aventador by 15 mph, but does it really matter? Completely flat, smooth as glass and just 1.8 miles around, Thermal's South Palm Circuit isn't exactly the Nordschleife, but the bathrooms are much fancier. Built in 2014, the luxurious Thermal Motorsports Club outside of Palm Springs, Calif., is an ideal facility for us to taste the 2018 Huracan Performante. If owners of the $274,390 supercar want a safe and controlled environment to wring out their new toy, chances are it will be at private amusement parks such as this. In the age of twin-turbos, the Huracan's naturally aspirated V10 is a (glorious) anachronism. In the Performante, it has been cranked up to 640 hp at 8,000 rpm and 442 lb-ft of torque at 6,500 rpm, a 30-hp and 40-lb-ft increase over the standard all-wheel-drive model, and it's all above 6,000 rpm. Displacement remains 5.2 liters, but Lambo's engineers added lighter titanium intake valves, more aggressive camshafts, a less-restrictive air intake and a lighter freer-flowing exhaust system. The engine's compression ratio remains a stratospheric 12.7:1, and it runs into a very aggressive rev limiter at 8,500 rpm. The Performante is 88 pounds lighter than the standard Huracan Coupe thanks to liberal use of the company's patented Forged Composite, which it calls the lightest, strongest and most innovative material ever used by Lamborghini. Chopped fibers embedded in a matrix of resins, it's sort of like carbon fiber 2.0, although its finish looks like high-tech camo with golden flecks. It's all over the Performante, including its massive rear spoiler, rear bumper and diffuser, front spoiler and its engine cover, which weights 21 percent less than the piece it replaced.
Take a closer look at Lamborghini's outrageous Veneno [w/video]
Wed, 06 Mar 2013We couldn't pass up the chance to take a closer look at the outrageous Lamborghini Veneno. The ultra-limited-production 50th anniversary model looks downright lethal sitting under the lights of the Geneva Motor Show. Regardless of the 750-horsepower V12 lurking at the machine's core, the preponderance of vents, wings, splitters and fins means the hypercar can't help but look like it'll cut you for the fun of it. While most high-performance exotics are as much about what you can't see as what you can, the Veneno gets the ludicrous-loving 12-year-old kid inside of us cackling with joy.
We just can't decide whether this $3.4-million-dollar one-of-three hypercar is the hero or villain of our adolescent daydreams. Maybe both. Click through the detailed gallery for your best look yet at the latest bit of insanity from Lamborghini, and check out its official introduction video below.
