Transformers: The Last Knight promises a Lamborghini Centenario and lots of explosions

The director of the Transformers series, Michael Bay, took to Twitter to reveal the trailer for the latest installment, Transformers: The Last Knight. Based on the trailer, it looks like the film will likely deliver everything Transformers fans of the series enjoy, including big explosions, big robots, and most interesting for us, cool cars. Although this particular trailer is a little light on the car action, careful examination reveals some nifty machines. There will be at least a few massive International trucks painted in drab military colors. We also spotted a new Mustang in police livery. The most exciting ride we spotted, though, is a Lamborghini Centenario – the $2.5 million limited-run supercar – tearing through what looks like London. Speaking of Bumblebee, it looks like he, and pretty much everyone else in the film, is going to have a rough time. The trailer shows that Earth is without Optimus Prime now, and his body is shown floating through space. In the meantime, some object has come to Earth, and it appears to have started a fairly massive war between humanity and, we're guessing, the Decepticons. Optimus Prime does eventually return, but he seems to have become an enemy, and is fighting Bumblebee at the end of the trailer. However, the leader of the Autobots going bad is probably the least confusing part of the trailer, as it starts showing knights fighting a dragon, and then segues into clips of Nazi Germany, all before actually getting to the present day. We should get some answers when the film hits theaters on June 23, 2017. Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster confirmed

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed over the weekend, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann confirmed the arrival of the Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce Roadster. The news puts a bow on a gift we already expected, having seen the superfast roadster gussied up like a Swedish rally car during testing in the Arctic. Assuming you're tall enough to ride the ride, you'll get 740-horsepower from its 6.5-liter V12 in a body that's lighter by 110 pounds versus the more mundane (we use that term loosely, of course) LP 700-4. Production will be limited to 500 units, undercutting production of the Superveloce coupe by 100 units, and the dealer order lines have officially opened. Speaking of which, all 600 coupes have already been sold, each one listing at $493,095. The roadster will surely be more dear. The press release below has the official words from the man himself. The roadster will be limited to 500 units. The Aventador Superveloce coupe version made its UK debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, on display and running 'up the hill', with Lamborghini President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann in attendance. Speaking at Goodwood, Stephan Winkelmann confirmed production of the Superveloce Roadster. "The Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is the most pure, sports-oriented and emotional incarnation of a Lamborghini, and all 600 units have been sold, with first deliveries starting now. We will also produce a roadster version, which our dealers worldwide are now taking orders for." The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce was shown at Geneva motor show earlier this year. The Superveloce accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of more than 325 km/h (217 mph). Compared to the Aventador LP 700-4 the power output of the Superveloce has been increased by 50 hp and the weight reduced by 50 kg. Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. Lamborghini Super Trofeo one-make racing series coming to America

Starting in June, racing fans in North America will have another way to get their fix. Lamborghini is bringing its Super Trofeo series to the US and Canada in a "long-term" deal that kicks off in a six-race season this year and should bring some extra excitement to the newly formed United SportCar Racing series in coming years.
The inaugural Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America race will be held at Mid-Ohio on June 15 and 16 with most of the rounds running alongside Grand-Am, International Motor Sport Association and American Le Mans Series races; the season finale will be held at the Indy Car event at Fontana, California on October 18 and 19. More importantly, the winners of each round will compete in a world final at a race in Italy against winner from the Super Trofeo races in Europe and Asia.
All competitors will be piloting specially prepared Gallardo LP 570-4 racecars featuring 570-horsepower V10 engines and paired with all-wheel drive. Scroll down for the Lamborghini press release, which gives the full six-race schedule.
