Year:2011 Mileage:45700 Color: detail and wax

Chicago, Illinois, United States

2011 Kia Sportage fully loaded and in LIKE-NEW condition.  I am only selling it because I moved to the city and no longer need a car.  This car was my baby and very well kept.  Almost all highway miles.  Always garage kept.  Full Synthetic oil always used.  Yearly complete interior and exterior detail and wax.  Never smoked in.  No accidents. A small amount of wear and tear.  Interior is mint.  Hood has a few tiny rock chips from driving.   There are a few small door dings, but no paint damage. The larger door ding (smaller than a quarter) could easily be popped out.  I could not get these tiny defects to show up in the pictures, even when I was trying.  I am a honest perfectionist so I want the buyer to know every small detail.

The car is top of the line and has every option offered. Turbocharged, AWD, automatic with SPORTMATIC, LEATHER, Premium Audio Package with amp and subwoofer, BLUETOOTH connectivity for hands-free calling and music streaming, NAVIGATION with sirius traffic, sirius radio, back up camera, back up sensors, power driver seat, HEATED AND COOLED driver seat, heated passenger seat, built-in Homelink rearview mirror, voice controls, ipod and USB connection, 2 power outlets, PANORAMA ROOF, sunroof, dual exhaust, downhill assist control, AWD differential lock, traction control, stability control, ABS, advanced air bags, side curtain airbags, keyless entry, push to start, cruise control, power locks and windows, power mirrors, dual climate control, ionized air filtration, power driver seat, cooled glove box, cargo cover, cargo mat, chrome kick plates in each door, matching floor mats and way more.  The car was also a top safety pick and would be great for a family.  I also have 2 key FOBs, owner's manual, and the ipod connection cord accessory. Kelly Blue Book is $24,500, but my reserve is much lower than that.  The car is still under the 5 Year, 60,000 mile warranty and is sold as-is.

I included as many pictures as I could.  If you want any more pictures or have any questions, I will be happy to provide more information.  Again, I am very honest and straight forward.  This car never gave my any problems and will be a dependable high-end car for a family or individual.  Happy Bidding!

Peter Schreyer designs the future of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis

Fri, Mar 25 2016

Peter Schreyer now leads the design teams at Hyundai, Kia, and the new Genesis brand. He has the difficult task of differentiating the three brands aesthetically, even if they share mechanical components. A new profile about the designer by Bloomberg shows just how much he means to the Korean brands, and it's well worth a read. According to Bloomberg, Schreyer has distinctive ideas for the Korean brands' design. A Kia should look sporty and appeal to young buyers. In contrast, a Hyundai would be for someone who prefers a minimalist design. So far, Genesis is blending those traits for its Athletic Elegance design language. Schreyer went to Kia from Volkswagen Group in 2006, and his mission was to revolutionize the Korean's brand's boring look. He succeeded with sharper, more modern designs for vehicles like the Optima and Sorento that arrived after he took over. He did such a good job there that Hyundai-Kia Motor Group appointed him as its first non-Korean president at the end of 2012. He also now oversees former Lamborghini designer Luc Donckerwolke at the Genesis luxury brand. Bloomberg speaks with industry analysts and other designers to get a better idea of Schreyer's meaning to the company. The piece presents him as an easygoing person who knows exactly how each vehicle should look. If you want to get a better Schreyer and his work at Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis, the story is worth checking out. Related Video:

Hyundai, Kia and U of M studying 'highway hypnosis'

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

Next up on the hot-button list of things that can kill you behind the wheel: "highway hypnosis." That's the zombie-like, autopilot phase you get into on a long highway drive when there isn't much to distract you, like curves or traffic. Digging further into what it is and how to combat it, Hyundai-Kia engineers and the University of Michigan are commencing a study that will measure brainwave activity in order to track the body's slide into highway hypnosis.
We're not sure how much overlap this has with Mercedes-Benz's Attention Assist, which tracks more than 70 in-car parameters to determine when you're not focused on the road anymore. That system is billed as an alarm against fatigue, in our experience it does more than that - if you use your phone while driving, for instance, it will chirp.
They don't know what form a warning system will take yet, but Hyundai-Kia plans to develop a method for warning drivers when they being to zone out. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there were more than three thousand deaths and nearly 400,000 injuries due to distracted driving in 2011.

Hyundai predicts 250-mile electric vehicle by 2020

Wed, Jul 13 2016

Hyundai will start selling a battery-electric version of its Ioniq in the US later this year, but the company is ready for much more. Hyundai is forecasting having an EV with a 250-mile single-charge range by the end of the decade. Hyundai executive Ahn Byung-ki told Automotive News that, while electric-vehicle technology development has been steady during the past six years, it will accelerate during the next two. Think of it as the "hockey stick" effect, but for South Korean automakers instead of Silicon Valley tech giants or Canadian hockey players. The Ioniq, which will also get plug-in and hybrid variants, will have a single-charge range of 110 miles when the EV version arrives in November. After that, Hyundai and its Kia and Genesis sister companies may develop a 200-mile range EV for 2018, and then that 250-mile-range car for 2020. Byung-ki isn't concerned that the Ioniq will quickly be outdated because the longer-range vehicles will also be priced higher. The Hyundai executive also said the company had no plans to take on Tesla Motors in the luxury EV market. The Ioniq EV was unveiled at the New York Auto Show this past March. A hybrid version of that sedan debuted in South Korea in January, while the EV went on sale in South Korea last month. Overall, Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis are planning to introduce 10 hybrids, eight EVs, eight plug-in hybrids, and two hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles by the end of the decade. The Hyundai group's only electric vehicle currently sold in the US is the Kia Soul EV, which has a single-charge range of 93 miles as well as some dancing hamsters in its commercials. Neither the Tesla Model 3 nor the Chevrolet Bolt can make that second claim. Related Video:
