Hi all! Up for sale my 2002 Kia Sportage. I have used this car as an every day vehicle. It's very dependable and takes very little gas. I never had any problems with it regardless of weather. Starts and drives fantastic. It's very comfortable and has plenty of room inside. It does have few bruises as shown on the pics. There is a little rust on it but not too much except the one spot on the left hand side by the bumper. The right rear doors have a dent/scratch also shown on the pic. Other than that the exterior is in good shape, the rails on the roof are bit rusty and so is the spare wheel gate. There is nothing wrong mechanically as far as I know and the car runs very well. No leaks of any fluids, no burning oil. The interior is in ok shape and shows regular wear and tear. Suspension is in very good state, no knocking or sagging. The breaks are bit soft at the moment however all they need is new pads. The wheels are somewhat worn, rims are straight. The tires are at about 65% at the moment. There is full size spare. There are no breaks on the windows. Few things that I wanted to mention are that the central locking doesn't work, also when the head lights are on sometimes the gauge panel doesn't light up. I think there is a loose wire at the interior light dimmer knob. Very easy fix. Overall I am very delighted with this car and it has served me very well. As I mentioned, very reliable and smooth to drive. Car is sold as is and there is no warranty. There is no reserve price. I reserve the right to cancel this listing at any moment. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call me, if I don't answer please leave me a message and I will call as soon as I can. Offers are welcome. Please contact me if you have an offer. Thank you

Kia may produce all-electric version of the Niro crossover

Wed, Oct 5 2016

Kia is considering producing an all-electric version of the Niro, the crossover vehicle that was the first from the South Korean company to be designed as a dedicated hybrid vehicle. Kia Motors operating chief Tae-Hyun Oh told the UK's Car Dealer magazine that the Niro's size, utility, and hybrid pedigree, along with stricter worldwide emissions mandates, may push the automaker to make a Niro EV. Kia, whose sister company Hyundai sells the hydrogen fuel-cell Tucson crossover in limited numbers, is also considering making a fuel-cell car in order to boost its green-vehicle pedigree further. Kia has sold more than 1,000 Niro hybrid vehicles since that model debuted in August. An all-electric Niro would be based on the same platform as the Kia Ioniq. That model has hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and battery-electric variants, reflecting what Kia said earlier this year was a three-pronged attack to broaden the Ioniq's exposure. The all-electric version of the Ioniq, which debuted in South Korea earlier this year and is slated to start sales in the US by the end of 2016, has a 28-kilowatt-hour battery pack that provides a single-charge range of about 110 miles. Currently, Kia sells an all-electric version of the Soul crossover. That model can go 93 miles on a full charge, though reports surfaced in September that the Kia Soul will get a refresh in 2018 that will boost its single-charge range in order to better compete with longer-range models such as the Chevrolet Bolt and Tesla Model 3. The Niro was first shown off as a concept model at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, while a production version was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show this February. Kia Forte Koup is dead, long live the Honda Civic

Mon, May 1 2017

A combination of cheap gas and high demand for crossovers means customers looking for a small, economical coupe are few and far between. Cars Direct confirmed that due to slow sales, Kia is killing off the Forte Koup after moving all 2016 models. That leaves the Honda Civic coupe standing alone in a segment that was formerly rich with competition. The only other option is moving into larger, less practical models like the Subaru BRZ, Chevrolet Camaro, and Ford Mustang. Koup sales must have been a small portion of the Forte's overall volume, as the model had its best year ever in 2016. Kia sold more that 100,000 Fortes and is making even bigger gains through the first quarter of 2017. It seems Kia's decision to cancel the Koup has been a long time coming. It was the only variant of the Forte lineup to not receive a significant refresh for 2017. Looks aside, it was hard to make a case for the Koup when going head to head against the Civic. In almost every category, the Honda beats the Kia. The Civic is slightly less expensive, more fuel efficient, and more powerful. The interior was roomier and far more refined, and at the back end the Civic will have a better resale value. It's hard to make a case for a car that's really starting to show its age. Now might be the best time to buy one, as dealers are sure to offer incentives to move the aging models off the lot. Related Video: News Source: Cars Direct Kia Coupe kia forte kia forte koup
