Hello Folks, Finally warm weather, after a very cold spring this year..Anyway i'm auctioning my wifes 2000 Kia Sportage, 4X4 4-door, Hatch-Back, Automatic with optional Power switch to aid the 4X4 in either 4-hi or 4-low. Interior needs a little cleaning, cloth seats are nice. I'm going to now list everthing that i've done myself, or has had Ashleys Auto Service in Salem,Ohio repair or replace on this cute Sportage. First thing was the brakes, had new 2 rotors installed along with ceramic pads in the front, and the rear has new brake drums, along with new spring kit and shoes, and new brake lines installed in front and back. Next was a brand new timing belt, with a new water pump, new a/c belt & alternator belt., oh and not to forget a new master cylinder for the brakes. The engine has been tuned up with new fuel filter, spark plug wires, and spark plugs, along with a new cold-air induction system, the mileage was 18 to 20 with stock intake, now averages 21 to 26 mpg.. Has 4 brand new Good-year Viva 2 tires installed. All these new parts have less than 300 miles on them. Now the bad news..The drive -train needs 1 or 2 universal joints, and the electric fuel pump just went bad, its in the tank. And the upstream oxygen sensor also needs to be replaced., i have the new O-2 sensor and i have 2 brand new universal joints (moog) to go with the sportage. I'm selling as-is, if you are mechanically inclined or just enjoy working on vehicles, this one is for you. It has less than 118,000k miles on it, not bad for a 2000 kia sportage 4X4. My wife bought this from a dealer in up-state new york. Almost forgot the new struts and shocks, also installed. i also installed a new magna-flo muffler, not to worry its not loud, and it sounds good. Thanks for stopping by, and Please look at all the pictures. I took pictures of all the rusted areas.

2014 Kia Sorento
Wed, 12 Feb 2014For most new car shoppers, three-row crossovers are little more than a way for the family-minded to avoid succumbing to the minivan stigma. Admit it - the only things that differentiate most larger CUVs from minivans are their lack of sliding side doors and - on most of them - the option of all-wheel drive. Having blossomed into a popular segment with thicker profit margins, though, automakers have plenty of incentive to keep their offerings fresh, and that's exactly why Kia is presenting its 2014 Sorento so soon.
At first glance, the crisply styled utility vehicle seen here appears to be nothing more than a mid-cycle refresh - and not a particularly extensive one, at that. But that's not the case at all. Despite looking very similar to the second-generation vehicle that came on the scene for the 2010 model year, this is an all-new Sorento. Or, more precisely, it's about 80-percent new. Kia says less than 20 percent of the parts have been carried over from the 2013 Sorento, and that's a pretty typical amount for an 'all-new' vehicle generation.
Since we've yet to spend quality time with the "Made in the USA" Sorento for more than a short First Drive in Arizona last February, we snagged the keys to a 2014 model in the all-new SX Limited trim level for a lengthy backroad sojourn from Florida to South Carolina.

Autoblog Podcast #344:
2015 Kia K900
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Let's be honest, Rich America. When you drive your fullsize luxury sedans, you don't clock any laps of the Nürburgring. You don't view your car as an alternative to air travel, ready to wheel between countries at triple-digit Autobahn speeds. Heck, you don't even take the long way home. Instead, you commute in fender-to-fender gridlock looking to be assuaged by sybaritic luxuries, your ride serving as a four-wheeled extension of your living room. Yet when it comes time to vote with your pocketbooks, you overwhelmingly skew toward European driving values - German ones, more specifically. You favor the firm rides, firmer seats and quick steering of cars like the BMW 7 Series and Audi A8. What gives? That's what Kia is clandestinely asking with its new 2015 K900.
According to Kia PR director Scott McKee, this 200.6-inch bruiser of a sedan is all about "at-ease luxury." That's a notion that was once very much synonymous with American automakers' approach to big high-end sedans - effortless comfort above all other considerations. Sprawling room in every direction. Fine materials no matter where the hand falls. The automobile as an isolative cocoon. Once upon a time, Cadillac and Lincoln owned the Comfort First game, but these days, there's almost nobody playing - the Lexus LS and Hyundai Equus are the only cars in this end of the market, everyone else is busy aping German values.
Kia planners could claim that the K900 has been intentionally targeted at a different sort of customer - and indeed, during the press conference ahead of our first drive in Santa Barbara, there was some discussion of "a different kind of luxury" and seeking "confident individualist" buyers. But the truth is, the Korean premium car shoppers that this car was primarily designed for crave exactly the sort of plush luxury experience the K900 dispenses. In other words, Kia is hoping that there are a few thousand like-minded Americans willing to overlook the badge on its nose and give this car a chance.
