We are moving and have begrudgingly decided to sell or Kia Borrego:( It has been perfect for our family of 6 and there are no issues with it. It is in top mechanical condition and looks show room fresh!
Here is a little about your new vehicle! The Borrego is well-appointed with the LX trim level. It comes equipped with four-wheel drive. The engine is a modern, all-aluminum design, offering smooth, and powerful acceleration. The 3.8-liter V-6 makes 276 horsepower. The vehicle has a five-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy highway ratings are 21 mpg. The Borrego performs well for all types of activities that people would purchase a rugged SUV for, such as off-roading to a camping spot or towing a heavy boat trailer. The 4WD system can handle the slippery roads with its BorgWarner Torque-on-Demand system that electronically sends torque to the wheels that have the best traction. It also includes a low range gearing for the toughest situations. It has two electronic aids, downhill brake control and hill assist control. It is properly equipped to tow up to 5,000 pounds with the factory tow package. Despite the serious truck capability, the Borrego has a ride that is quiet and smooth, thanks to a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension arrangement. Stabilizer bars help tighten up handling response around tight corners. Inside, the Borrego is refined and quiet as well, and any wind noise is muted. Special rubber mounts for the body help cut vibrations. There are three rows of seating to accommodate a total of seven passengers, the second row has plenty of headroom and legroom. It's a very comfortable, luxurious interior overall, with well bolstered front seats, and a second-row that can slide fore and aft to aid access to the third row. Both of the rear rows fold flat to allow a long, continuous cargo space. With 97.6 cubic feet of cargo space, there is room for everything! The Borrego comes standard with electronic stability control. Side and curtain airbags are also standard. A back-up warning system, a feature not always available on utility vehicles, is standard on the Borrego, as are anti-lock brakes. Other equipment includes air conditioning, power accessories, cruise control, keyless entry and a six-speaker CD/MP3 audio system. Thank you for considering this vehicle. I hope it will provide years of enjoyment and reliability for you. There is no warranty. Being sold as is. Vehicle available for immediate delivery. A clear vehicle title will be delivered/sent to purchaser 5 calendar days after payment in full is received. This is to allow our financial institution the time required to release title. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I really like to speak with the person buying the vehicle. I feel it is important in building confidence for both parties in the transaction. Buyer responsible for any and all shipping costs and arrangements, I am willing to help arrange shipping if needed. Immediate $500.00 Deposit required for "buy it now" option. God Bless and Happy Bidding, Casey |

2020 Kia Soul X-Line Review | At least it looks the part
Fri, Jul 26 2019The Kia Soul was always intended to be a city creature. When it was launched a decade ago, it was an answer to weird city cars like the Scion xB and Nissan Cube. It had funky styling, bright colors, and speakers with lights that pulsed to your music. The 2020 Kia Soul may be an evolution in terms style and size from that original version, but the market has changed to frame it in a different light. The JDM boxes are gone, succeeded by a variety of sub-compact SUVs like the Honda HR-V, Jeep Renegade and Hyundai Kona. The previous Soul competed very well with them, and the new version for 2020 does even better, offering a compelling recipe of value, space and style. It still doesn't offer all-wheel drive, but then, neither does the Nissan Kicks or Toyota C-HR. Nevertheless, all of these vehicles are supposed to be able to leave town once in a while, to perhaps get dirty (or carry things that might, like a mountain bike or kayak). That’s part of the appeal of the segment, to enable an Instagram-friendly lifestyle. ThatÂ’s why the 2020 Kia Soul X-Line was hatched. To find out how it does at satisfying its mission, I set out on a road trip from Portland into Central Oregon toward the towns of Redmond and Bend. ItÂ’s a trek made daily by countless Subaru Crosstreks, a vehicle Kia almost certainly hopes to poach some customers from. I even brought a current Crosstrek owner along for the ride. Outside, the Subaru playbook was consulted and the requisite black plastic body cladding applied to the fascias, rocker and doors. The grille has a more rugged mesh insert accented by foglights and tasteful alloy-look trim, which is also used on the rocker panels, mirror caps and roof rails that are only available from the factory on the X-Line. The halogen headlights are in the same place as they are on lower Soul trim levels, but the alloy-look trim draws more attention to them – they look a bit like big, old-school driving lights. In total, it does indeed make the Soul look like a little SUV – and an attractive one at that, especially when painted Undercover Green. Sadly, our test car was Gravity Gray. The interior, by contrast, isnÂ’t any more special than the base trim. There's handsome, textured silver plastic trim on the doors and it comes with "Black Woven Cloth" that's actually quite nice for a car that costs $21,000. There are no Jeep-like rugged details or decals.
2019 Kia Stinger gets IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating
Fri, May 24 2019The 2019 Kia Stinger just officially received an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award, which is the highest honor from the Insurance Institute. However, this award only applies to Stingers equipped with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights. All the crashworthiness ratings returned with a "Good" rating, and that applies to every version of the Stinger sold here. The forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian detection is an option on the Stinger, and this combined with trims sporting LED headlight projectors results in the TSP+ rating. In IIHS forward collision tests, the Stinger successfully avoided collisions at 12 mph and 25 mph. The base halogen projector headlights were rated "Poor," so watch out for those while Stinger shopping. Interestingly, the IIHS rated the static LED projectors as "Good" and the curve-adaptive LED projectors got lower marks as "Acceptable." For reference, the curve-adaptive LEDs are found on the Stinger GT2 trim. The IIHS just thinks the visibility with the adaptive LEDs is worse compared to the static units. We can't say we're surprised that the Stinger received the TSP+ award, as it shares a modified platform with the Genesis G70 that received the same rating from the IIHS. The new sport sedan and sportback from Genesis and Kia clearly crash well. That's always heartening to hear, especially as we continue with the long-term test of our Kia Stinger GT. We love the red bullet of a hatchback, and most recently compared it to a Genesis G70 with the same powertrain.
2015 Kia Soul EV Prototype
Wed, 13 Nov 2013Spend a few days chatting with the good people of Seoul about their neighbors to the north, and you'll find a pattern emerges. When they first start talking, South Korea's citizenry speaks openly and ardently about seeking reunification with their North Korean brothers and sisters. Yet once you get beyond casual conversation, you'll find that those hopes and wishes aren't all that they first appear to be. Quite reasonably - and despite everyone's best intentions - there's genuine fear that opening the border with communist North Korea would severely tax South Korea's finances, infrastructure and daily lives. It's almost as if reunification feels like something the general public has to say they want, even if they're really not buying into the reality.
It's kind of like the way American consumers and the media have been crying out for electric and hybrid automobiles, yet when it comes time to vote with their pocketbooks, their hearts just aren't in it. There are potential financial and infrastructure concerns, along with lingering worries about how well EVs will integrate into their daily lives. Today, hybrids and plug-ins make up about three percent of new vehicle sales, and the vast majority of those models are gas-electric models - one in particular. Pure electrics aren't yet even a drop in a very large bucket. It's exactly this uncomfortable dichotomy that rings in our heads as we drive through the traffic in Namyang at the wheel of a 2015 Kia Soul EV prototype.
Of course, one can't blame Kia for developing an electric car - it has California's zero-emissions mandates to meet, regardless of whether the segment's sales suggest there's a sound financial strategy attached. Kia officials we spoke with at this early drive of the company's electrified 'box' car seemed to tacitly acknowledge the Soul EV's difficult business case, but pointed to the company's effort to reduce its CO2 output as part of its reason for being. And besides, their beancounters' industry-wide projection for global EV sales in 2018 is 600,000 units, so there's got to be room to grow, right?
