2012 Kia Optima Hybrid Sedan 4 Dr 2.4l•8800 Miles!•36 Mpg•pkup/ship From Det Mi! on 2040-cars
Clinton Township, Michigan, United States
Up for auction is a great buy on a 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid. Extremely low miles, although it has been titled it's closer to a 'demo' with under 9,000 original, single-owner miles. MSRP on window sticker reads $27,250. The reason for selling, and for low miles is due to availability of a company/fleet car for driver's use. Non smoker. Still has the "new car smell". No dings, dents, scratches, stone chips; looks like it belongs on the dealer's showroom! Pickup in Detroit area at a mutually agreeable time within 7 days of close of auction, or transportation can be arranged at buyer's expense upon receipt of cleared funds in full. Shipment outside of USA can be arranged with seller's cooperation upon receipt of cleared payment in full in valid US funds, but solely at buyer's expense and responsibility. Original Michigan Title to be provided by Hyundai/Kia Motors leasing upon clearance of funds, and will be free and clear of any liens. Subject to 6% Michigan sales tax unless purchased by a licensed dealer.

Kia design chief Peter Schreyer named Hyundai-Kia President
Fri, 28 Dec 2012Automotive News reports Peter Schreyer has been appointed the first non-Korean president of Hyundai-Kia Motor Group. Schreyer is expected to retain his role as the chief designer for Kia, while also taking on new, high-level executive duties. He is now one of three presidents at the automaker.
The designer made a name for himself at Volkswagen, where he penned the 1998 New Beetle and lent his eye to the Audi TT. In 2006, Schreyer moved to Kia, where he quickly revised the brand's styling from bland, forgettable lines to bold, "tiger nose" creations. Analysts attribute much of the brand's recent sales success to Schreyer's influence.
Kia is expected to move 2.75 million units worldwide next year, while sister company Hyundai will likely beat its 2012 sales forecast of 4.29 million units, according to CFO Lee Won Hee.
2014 Kia Sorento
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Big Changes Below, But Just A Little Off The Top
It happens all the time. Three or four years into an automobile's lifecycle, the manufacturer goes back to the drawing board, making what it hopes are vital improvements to keep its product at the top of the sales charts. It's true of the vehicle we're discussing today, the 2014 Kia Sorento, but unlike many midlife facelifts, most of what's new here can't be seen with the naked eye.
Yes, there are the normal changes to the front and rear fascias, and a few nips and tucks here and there to improve the crossover's outward appearance. But, for the first time in as long as we can remember, the big news here is that the new Sorento is actually riding atop a new platform, according to Kia.
2014 Kia Cadenza
Wed, 19 Mar 2014Teenage passengers are often among the first people I turn to for second opinions about a test vehicle. While they understandably aren't allowed behind the wheel - most aren't even old enough to drive - their honest and generally unbiased observations, coupled with a complete lack of understanding about what a particular vehicle costs, can provide a wealth of insight.
An open-minded approach is especially important when taking a closer look at the 2014 Kia Cadenza, a premium sedan from an automaker best known for providing affordable transportation for entry-level buyers. But unlike the Rio and Forte, low-priced compacts designed to cater to consumers looking for fuel economy and value, this more substantial four-door sedan asks for twice the out-of-pocket investment in exchange for promises of luxury and technology.
With an impartial mindset and a genuine curiosity, I recently spent a week with the more substantial Cadenza to see if it could live up to its aspirations.
