2011 Kia Optima - Ex Features For Lx $! Under Factory Warranty Exc Cond - 34mpg! on 2040-cars
Geneva, Illinois, United States
2011 Kia Optima - Under book value and still under the factory warranty. I routinely see ~40MPG on the interstate!!! 2011 Kia Optima in the optional Snow White Pearl color. This car absolutely gleams in the sun! Things you won't find on other Optima's without spending big $: -HID headlights -LED Taillights -Navigation System with Rear-View Camera (CCD sensor provides a higher quality image than typical CMOS systems) -Infinity speakers Also includes a full size spare unlike the majority of Optimas, which only come with a can of Fix-A-Flat and a prayer :) In pristine condition. Non-smoker car. New 85K mile tires installed 7/13. Regularly serviced with synthetic oil. Absolutely no issues with this car whatsoever. Selling as my 4th child means we can no longer fit in this vehicle as a family :) There are a few very minor chips in the paint on the leading edge of the hood. There are several minor scratches on the interior (glove box, passenger door) as well. They were on the car when I bought it. The car is currently being used for commuting purposes, so actual mileage may be a bit higher. This vehicle is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this listing early if it sells prior to the end of this auction. Feel free to make an offer! Kia Sorento is the official ride of the Justice League
Thu, 18 Jul 2013Toyota showed us a Spongebob Squarepants-themed Toyota Highlander last week. Kia has now revealed a Justice League themed Sorento. Can we just have normal, competent crossovers without all the animation frosting, please?
To be fair, this Sorento is for a good cause. It will be part of a charity auction on eBay, benefitting DC Entertainment's We Can Be Heroes campaign, which raises money for the famine-ridden Horn of Africa, a region that's facing its worst food crisis in six decades. DCE's President, Diane Nelson, claims DC has managed to raise over $285,000 through crowd-funding campaigns and unique opportunities for its fans. The Justice League Sorento is just the latest such fund-raising opportunity, with the automaker having already commissioned a number of similar themed vehicles for individual members of the Justice League.
The seven-passenger Sorento was designed by Jim Lee and created by West Coast Customs. It sports graphics that, relative to the Spongebob Highlander, are downright subtle. Batman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman are depicted on the driver's side, while Superman, the Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg are on the passenger side. The Justice League logo is emblazoned on the Sorento's hood.
Kia K900 looks, sounds snarly with forced induction in SEMA preview
Sat, 25 Oct 2014Kia is getting all set for this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and among its vehicles is something that seems pretty mean.
The Korean company is keeping details quiet about what's under the hood of what it calls the High-Performance K900, but from listening to this video it certainly sounds fantastic with quite a meaty growl. There might be some form of forced induction going on, though we can't say for sure. Elsewhere on the car, Kia isn't being so tight-lipped. The High Performance wears a custom shade of gray paint with a one-off body kit, featuring carbon fiber inserts. It also sports 21-inch gloss black wheels and black chrome trim.
Honestly, we were left scratching our head a little when LeBron James signed on to be the "luxury brand ambassador" for the K900. However, if he were driving this around Cleveland, the endorsement might make a little more sense. Check out the video above to glimpse the concept for SEMA, and read the little that Kia is saying about it in the release below.
Sales incentive growth clustered around brands with few CUVs, trucks
Wed, 24 Sep 2014While it's arguably been around the longest, the dominance of the four-door sedan has been under threat for many years. As a further sign of the hurtin' that SUVs and crossovers have put on today's four-doors, a new report from Automotive News points to the increasing use of incentives by brands reliant on cars and light on CUVs and pickups.
Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen and Kia have all been stung by double-digit increases in their incentives-to-transaction price ratio, according to AN, which cites data from TrueCar. Honda's ratio is up 14 percent, while Toyota, VW and Kia are up 18, 15 and 19 percent, respectively.
"Most of the incentive growth we have seen is in product segments with low demand - midsized or large sedans," TrueCar CEO John Krafcik told AN. "As this trend goes on, the brands with three-sedan strategies are going to be in worse shape on incentive spending than the crossover brands."
