More details at: shakitasggrass@chelseafans.net .

I'm the 3rd owner,
the prior owner sold at 6,700 miles and was garaged 100% He never took it off road as it was more of a city show
vehicle for him. Since I've owned it has been garage or enclosed trailer stored most of the time and less than 100
off road and beach miles. Has a tow bar on front bumper so can be RV towed (frequently referred to as toad
vehicle), if you don't want that it's easily removed with 4 bolts. Title is clean with no liens. Never been
smoked in and still has what I consider to be "new car smell".
Upgrades:
Warn 9.5cti winch with handheld corded remote - installed prior to my purchase
AFE intake and filter - installed prior to my purchase
JW Speaker LED headlamps and fog lamps - installed at approx 13k miles
Under driver seat locking storage - installed prior to my purchase
Dynamat AND Dynaliner installed on entire floor chassis front to back (quite ride) installed at 18k
Alien sunshade that is hardtop compatable (not necessary to remove when hardtop is installed).
Includes 2016 beach pass for Freeman park in Wilmington, NC and OHV pass for Oregon - which gets you on the beach
there thru March 2017.
My favorite things about this jeep:
remote start from the key fob
Uconnect stereo system works well with iPhone cord to unit or bluetooth (I haven't tested android but user reports
state its great also).
LED head and fog lamps really light up the road at night (as they should for $1200)
Dynamat products dampen the road noise considerably
I purchased this vehicle in like new condition and have maintained it's cleanliness for the duration.
Whats wrong with it:
During enclosed trailer travel this jeep slid to the side and has light scuffing on the passenger rear fender
(visible in photos).
When removing driver door for the first time the door swung into front cowl and left a small ding (visible from
photos).
I will respond promptly to all questions and additional photo requests.

Chrysler recalling nearly 141k vehicles over electrical woes

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

Software glitches that randomly illuminate warning lights and cause instrument cluster blackouts are forcing Chrysler to recall 140,800 vehicles, The Detroit News reports. The automaker is recalling 132,000 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokees, 91,559 of which are in the US. In addition to the Jeep recalls, Chrysler is adding 10,800 2014 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks to the list for similar problems.
Chrysler reportedly says, "Both events occurred infrequently and appeared to resolve themselves by tuning the vehicle's ignition off and then on."
Engineers discovered a problem with the anti-lock-braking system software that causes the instrument cluster display of the Grand Cherokee to illuminate warning lights and black out - even its ABS and electronic stability control systems are affected. To fix the Jeeps, Chrysler will update the vehicle's software.

Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.

2014 Jeep Cherokee marketing launches with 'Built Free' commercial

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

Now that the 2014 Cherokee is finally on its way to dealerships, Jeep is starting its marketing blitz for its new crossover, beginning with this 60-second TV spot, called Built Free, that premieres today. Set to a Bob Dylan recording, the ad spot discusses something we can all relate to - the feeling of being too busy and too cooped up with everyday tasks to really get out there and explore the world. But as Jeep says in the commercial, "You're still here. And you're still you. The horizons haven't gone anywhere."
Autoblog spoke to Kim Adams-House, head of marketing for the Jeep brand, who explained that this Built Free spot is "an anthemic piece" that "sparks the conversation" for the new Cherokee. As you'll notice, none of the new Jeep's features - its off-road systems, nine-speed automatic transmission, etc. - are mentioned in the ad, but Adams-House says that future marketing "will speak to more" of the CUV's highlights. Following this 60-second spot, 30-second commercials will launch that talk about some of the specific product features.
When asked if the Built Free campaign will include any throwbacks to the original Cherokee, Adams-House told Autoblog that while "we love that vehicle," the new spots are intended to carve out "a unique space for Cherokee in our product portfolio and marketplace." On that same note, don't expect any other Jeep vehicles to get the Built Free treatment. Adams-House said that while this ad "does resonate overall with the brand," it is solely intended to promote the new Cherokee.
