For Sale is my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4x4 that has been meticulously well-cared for and upgraded with many quality name-brand aftermarket parts. I will briefly describe the important details and list below all the upgrades put into the Jeep.
I purchased this Jeep BRAND NEW bone-stock from a dealership in San Antonio, and the Jeep is still under factory warranty. The Jeep is my daily driver so please understand the mileage will SLIGHTLY increase from the time of this listing.
Excuse the dirt in the pics, didn't have time to detail the Jeep completely prior to listing the pics. I assure you, there are no dings, scratches, dents, etc anywhere on the vehicle aside from the normal every day road debris. The vehicle has never been rock-climbing, never mistreated off road, has only been used to-from work and occasionally down the dirt roads of the deer lease. Throughout the build, my design focus was to build a fully capable rig to serve as a daily driver as well as an intermediate rock climber, but never got the chance to finish the build and take it out.
I will be very specific with the very minor unfinished electrical project that will need attention on this vehicle:
The rocker switches installed to control the auxiliary lights will need properly labeled covers, as you can see, the switches are labelled Windshield Lights, GPS, and Rock Lights. The switch covers can be purchased for 5$ each online at the OTRATTW website (manufacturer). The switches function 100% correctly just simply are labelled incorrectly. I planned on installing LED rock lights but never got around to it.
The 2nd item is that the GPS (Garmin) project I was working on is unfinished. The 12V power cable has been routed behind the radio in the dash and was not spliced into the ignition 12v power source and hooked up to a rocker switch like it was going to be, the cigarette lighter plug under the radio is disconnected and needs to be hooked back up. For now, I am using the cigarette lighter in the console. This is a very minor electrical project that is easy to complete, and I would be glad to provide directions.
There is a 100% clean barely used removeable factory back-seat that is not shown in the pictures, that has been stored inside the house. It will be included with the Jeep.

Here are a few common questions that I have gotten:
Q: Why are you selling?
A: I have some big bills to pay, I need a cheaper vehicle to get to work in
Q: Is it financed?
A: Yes. I have the payoff amount and am prepared to immediately pay off and have title sent to buyer.
Q: Has it been abused?
A: No, the Jeep has only seen pavement and dirt roads, never rocks.
Q: Have there been any mods to the Engine, Drivetrain, or Suspension?
A: No, the Jeep clears 33" tires and looks lifted only because of the flat fenders.
Please call me with any questions, there is no question I am not 100% happy to answer

Chrysler recalling over 200k vehicles across its brands
Wed, 10 Apr 2013With more than 200,000 units across six separate recalls and almost all of its brands, it appears that Chrysler has officially jumped headfirst into the recall pool this month. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued three official recalls for the automaker, and The Detroit News is reporting that the automaker itself has announced three more.
The biggest of the recalls applies to about 120,000 Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger and Chrysler 300 models for 2011 and 2012 due to faulty wiring harnesses for the seat-mounted side airbags, which could lead to these airbags not deploying in the event of a crash. A little more than 60,000 two-wheel-drive versions of the 2007-2008 Dodge Nitro and 2008 Jeep Liberty SUVs are being recalled due to a heat shield that could cause the driveshaft to break, which if that isn't bad on its own, could then hit underneath where the airbag sensor is mounted, causing the airbags to deploy. Wrapping up NHTSA's recall notices, about 20,000 Jeep Patriot and Jeep Compass models for 2012 are also being recalled due to a problem with the fuel tank transfer tube that could lead to the vehicle stalling. The LX car recall campaign is going into effect this month, while the other two will start next month - all three notices are posted below.
In addition to the official NHTSA recalls, The Detroit News is also reporting that Chrysler is recalling more than 16,000 Ram trucks and a small number of Dodge Dart sedans. Around 6,500 2013 Ram 1500 trucks will be recalled due to an improper adjustment of the parking brake cable from the factory, while 7,000 Cummins-powered 2013 Ram Heavy Duty trucks are being recalled due to an engine cover that does not have as much heat resistance as it is supposed to. Finally, a total of 46 Dodge Dart sedans are being recalled due to a problem with the brake calipers and/or parking brake.
What would you drive in 1985?
Wed, May 6 2020Bereft of live baseball games to watch, I've turned to the good ship YouTube to watch classic games. While watching the 1985 American League Championship Series last night, several of the broadcast's commercials made its way into the original VHS recording, including those for cars. "Only 8.8% financing on a 1985 Ford Tempo!" What a deal! That got me thinking: what would I drive in 1985? It sure wouldn't be a Tempo. Or an IROC-Z, for that matter, despite what my Photoshopped 1980s self would indicate in the picture above. I posed this question to my fellow Autobloggists. Only one could actually drive back then, I was only 2 and a few editors weren't even close to being born. Here are our choices, which were simply made with the edict of "Come on, man, be realistic." West Coast Editor James Riswick: OK, I started this, I'll go first. I like coupes today, so I'm pretty sure I'd drive one back then. I definitely don't see myself driving some badge-engineered GM thing from 1985, and although a Honda Prelude has a certain appeal, I must admit that something European would likely be in order. A BMW maybe? No, I'm too much a contrarian for that. The answer is therefore a 1985 Saab 900 Turbo 3-Door, which is not only a coupe but a hatchback, too. If I could scrounge up enough Reagan-era bucks for the ultra-cool SPG model, that would be rad. The 900 Turbo pictured, which was for auction on Bring a Trailer a few years ago, came with plum-colored Bokhara Red, and you're damn sure I would've had me one of those. Nevermind 1985, I'd probably drive this thing today. Associate Editor Byron Hurd: I'm going to go with the 1985.5 Ford Mustang SVO, AKA the turbocharged Fox Body that everybody remembers but nobody drives. The mid-year update to the SVO bumped the power up from 175 ponies (yeah, yeah) to 205, making it almost as powerful (on paper, anyway) as the V8-powered GT models offered in the same time frame. I chose this particular car because it's a bit of a time capsule and, simultaneously, a reminder that all things are cyclical. Here we are, 35 years later, and 2.3-liter turbocharged Mustangs are a thing again. Who would have guessed?
What's really going on with the 2014 Jeep Cherokee's transmission issues?
Fri, 27 Sep 2013On September 23, Automotive News reported that Chrysler had idled the second shift workers it hired just five weeks prior at its Toledo Assembly Complex to build the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. At the time, Chrysler said it had "built the critical number of vehicles we need to stock dealerships once containment is released" and did not want "to put additional strain on our logistics partners ... upon release." That reasoning was not only unusual, it didn't seem to make sense.
It appears the center of the nine-speed issue is software, not hardware.
That same day, the Detroit News ran a piece claiming workers at the Toledo factory said the halt was due to issues with the Cherokee's transmission. It put the number of already-built Cherokees needing fixes at 1,000 and said that some of the workers not laid off had been instructed "to take the Jeep on long test-drives." That made more sense. Three days later, on September 26, Automotive News reported that the 500 workers laid off had been reinstated, with engineers "speeding repairs on the SUV's powertrain software." The AN piece didn't put a number on how many units are being fixed, but it did say that 12,000 have been built and are awaiting delivery to dealers. The best it could say about when dealers will get them, however, is that "progress on a fix is being made. It's unclear when shipments to dealers will start."
