2007 Jeep Wrangler 2-door Jk, 4x4 Hard Top Automatic Painted Top/flares/bumpers! on 2040-cars
Corbin, Kentucky, United States
You are looking at a 2007 Wrangler JK 2dr. I bought this Jeep for myself a few months back. I had found one online that I fell in love with but it was a 2013 and I couldn't quite afford to do that. Instead I bought this Jeep as stock Jeep with the original black top, black bumpers and fender flares. I sent it to the body shop and had all of the above mentioned body panels sanded to smooth surfaces and then painted to match. I also added the light bar on the front bumper with the KC lites and had it smoothed and painted as well. I original had a small 2.5" lift and 35" tires on it, the only reason I am selling is because I found that I am much more comfortable in the 4door models, so I took the lift and tires off and replaced them with stock. This Jeep drives and rides as well as one with half the miles. As you can see it does have a small mark here and there but nothing out of the ordinary. It has not been offroad since I have owned it, and from what I can tell, it hasn't been in its life. I did put new rotors and brakes on the front about 1,000 miles ago. The interior is in great condition minus the door sill that has scuff marks on it and the steering wheel which is just worn from use. In the interest of full disclosure the console lid was busted on top so I put the padded extension thing on it, I did that for both cosmetic and comfort. If you are looking at this Jeep you have probably seen many others, and I am sure you have noticed that they do offer a painted top and flare combo. You probably also have noticed that they do not offer painted bumpers from the factory (at least in 2007). I really think the bumpers make this thing stand out head and shoulders above the rest. This is your opportunity to buy a new body wrangler for much less, and the painted panels are just a bonus. I promise you won't be disappointed when you see this. Again, I am a car dealer but this one was my personal vehicle. I also can help with financing if needed. I will be more than glad to answer any questions you might have. I am listing my cell number so feel free to give me a call. Thanks!

Chrysler adding 200 jobs at Ohio Jeep Wrangler plant
Fri, 15 Mar 2013Chrysler is betting that the Jeep Wrangler will continue its strong sales surge as it continues to push the legendary brand out across the globe. The Auburn Hills automaker is reportedly adding 200 workers at the Toledo, Ohio plant that builds the Wrangler. What's more, those new hires will be at their posts quickly - they'll be on the job by April 1. Of those 200 workers, 130 employees will be there to relieve those who need breaks.
Why do they need so many relief workers? The Toledo Jeep Complex is currently working at a torrid pace with two ten-hour shifts. A third shift has been ruled out for the moment because of a production botttleneck - the plant's paint shop is already maxed out. According to Reuters, Wrangler production in 2012 cleared 200,000 units, and US sales were up by 16 percent.
Another part of the Toledo plant is presently down as Chrysler retools the line to build Jeep's divisively styled Liberty replacement, the Cherokee (seen in our gallery below). Production for the new model is scheduled to begin toward the end of May.
Project Trail Force Jeep Wrangler goes to SEMA, then to a lucky winner
Wed, Jul 1 2015Extreme Terrain is an aftermarket parts company focused on the Jeep Wrangler. Partly just because it's a really cool thing to do, and probably having something to do with Jeep's upcoming 75th anniversary, Extreme Terrain found some dance partners to help work up a special 2015 Wrangler Rubicon that it will show off at the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival in Butler, PA, then at SEMA in November, where it will be given away. Extreme worked with Barricade Off-Road and Kevin Tetz from the Spike show Trucks! to build the Wrangler it calls Project Trail Force. There is more than $24,000 worth of aftermarket gear on it, starting with the Ripp centrifugal supercharger that pumps an additional 140 horsepower into the 3.6-liter V6. It's got a 3.5-inch lift kit from Rock Krawler, Dana 44 axles strung between 37-inch BFG tires, Barricade bumpers, a 9,500-pound winch, fender flares, rock sliders, a 50-inch LED light bar above the windshield, LED spotlights on the A-pillars, and seven-inch KC Hilites headlights. Rugged Ridge worked over the inside with upgrades like all-terrain floor and cargo liners, plus seat covers, and a new navigation system with a back-up camera. If you want to win it, you can enter the contest at Extreme Terrain once every week until Oct. 23. The winner gets flown to SEMA to have Kevin Tetz hand the keys over. If you just want to see it, you can head to PA for that heritage festival. The Project Trail Force will also lead a Jeep parade that could set a Guinness World Record. The press release below has a lot more info on the build. Good luck. Blake Anderson drives an over-the-top patriotic Jeep
Thu, Jan 15 2015Comedian Blake Anderson is seeing growing success as one of the stars and co-creators of the Comedy Central show Workaholics. Not surprisingly, when you get your own TV show, there's a deep desire to celebrate with a big purchase, a car perhaps. Anderson did just that, but as opposed to plunking his money down on a Porsche or Mercedes-Benz, he took a much more patriotic route. Anderson described his ride as "an American Jeep" in an interview with Conan O'Brien, and he didn't mean that it was from the AMC years of the off-road brand's ownership. Instead, this one is as patriotic as they come thanks to a beautifully regal bald eagle covering the hood with the nation's flag as the background running up at least to the windshield. Hear Anderson's entire story of buying this red, white and blue off-roader in the video above.
