For sale is a great condition 2006 Wrangler Rubicon, with only 37,1xx miles. This is our daily driver so miles go up about 20 a day. The Jeep gets oil changes and tire rotations every 3,000 miles. The spare tire has been rotated in every time. The car has been cleaned and waxed very often, and the interior is very nearly perfect. We do not smoke, and we keep towels over the floor mats to keep the carpet protected.

The Jeep received a new windshield a year ago due to a crack. It has new u-joints due to a shop mis-diagnosing a noise and replacing them. The noise was a pinion seal which has been fixed by All Drive transmission last August. An alignment was done April of 2013. I just did a tune up where it received new plugs,  and tire rotation about 3,200 miles ago. It received an oil change and a new steering stabilizer within the last 100 miles. The clutch is strong, 4wd works, and the lockers have only been used once to make sure they actually work. The top does not leak and only has two minor scratches, no cracks or damage other wise. The Jeep has no dents, only a few scratches from every day use. We purchased this Jeep from a person who kept it in storage upon its original purchase in 2006. When we purchased the vehicle in 2009 it only had 107 miles on it. I changed the oils before we started using it and it received a new battery in December of 2013.

The Jeep comes with many accessories including a hard top, soft top with tinted and non scratched windows, door bags (if you want to remove the doors), a pair of homebuilt and padded door hangers for your wall, a hard top dolly for winter storage and window bags (for storing the soft windows safely and flat). The factory door nuts have been replaced with stainless steel allen nuts instead of the factory painted ones. There is a headphone hook up installed on the factory radio so you can play any mobile device.

There are only two things wrong with the Jeep right now. First, the display on the radio doesn't work but the radio and 6 disc cd changer functions perfectly fine otherwise. Second, the bumperettes are faded from running over some concrete dust last year and the lye faded the plastic. The rear seat, rear seat belts, and brackets are included in the sale of the Jeep but are currently removed. The backseat has never been used and is sitting in a dry basement wrapped in plastic. The Jeep has never been on anything rougher than a gravel road and has only been in 4wd a handful of times. It doesn't have a receiver hitch or navigation. The factory shift knob is included in the sale but the 2 ball you see in pictures is not.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see additional pictures. Also if you want the Jeep professionally detailed and waxed after the sale that can be done for 150 dollars.

The Chrysler brand could be axed under Stellantis management

Sun, Jan 3 2021

MILAN — While running NissanÂ’s North American operations from 2009 to 2011, Carlos Tavares had a reputation for closely watching costs with little tolerance for vehicles or ventures that didnÂ’t make money. Experts say that means Tavares, currently the head of PSA Group, is likely to follow that blueprint when he becomes leader of a merged PSA and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The low-performing Chrysler brand might get the axe as could slow-selling cars, SUVs or trucks that lack potential. Already the companies are talking about consolidating vehicle platforms — the underpinnings and powertrains — to save billions in engineering and manufacturing costs. That could mean job losses in Italy, Germany and Michigan as PSA Peugeot technology is integrated into North American and Italian vehicles. “You canÂ’t be cost efficient if you keep the entire scale of both companies,” said Karl Brauer, executive analyst for the iSeeCars.com auto website. “WeÂ’ve seen this show before, and weÂ’re going to see it again where they economize these platforms across continents, across multiple markets.” Shareholders of both companies are to meet Monday to vote on the merger to form the worldÂ’s fourth-largest automaker, to be called Stellantis. The deal received EU regulatory approval just before Christmas. Tavares, who for years has wanted to sell PSA vehicles in the U.S., wonÂ’t take full control of the merged companies until the end of January at the earliest. He likely will target Europe for consolidation first, because thatÂ’s where Fiat vehicles overlap extensively with PSAÂ’s, said IHS Markit Principal Auto Analyst Stephanie Brinley. Europe has been a money-loser for FCA, and factories in Italy are operating way below capacity — a concern for unions, given FiatÂ’s role as the largest private sector employer in the country. “We are at a crossroads,Â’Â’ said Michele De Palma of the FIOM CGIL metalworkersÂ’ union. “Either there is a relaunch, or there is a slow agonizing closure of industry, in particular the auto industry, in Italy.” ItalyÂ’s hopes lie with the luxury Maserati and sporty Alfa Romeo brands, but De Palma said investments are needed to bring hybrid and electric technology up to speed. FiatÂ’s Italian capacity stands at 1.5 million vehicles, but only a few hundred thousand are being produced each year. Most factories were on rolling short-term layoffs due to lack of demand, even before the pandemic.

Watch a Cayenne Turbo S, Range Rover SVR, and Cherokee SRT drag race

Thu, Mar 17 2016

We live in a weird world where high-performance SUVs could win a 60-mile-per-hour sprint against sports cars from just a few years ago. Here, Top Gear sets up a three-way drag race against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and the results show just how quickly these high-riding models can cross the quarter mile. The Cherokee SRT is the patriotic choice among the three, but it's down on power in this fight. Meanwhile, the Range Rover's menacing growl sounds the best, and the Cayenne Turbo S has the most horsepower. You'll have to watch the video to see which SUV will win this battle. Related Video:

Chrysler recalling 630k Jeep models worldwide

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

Despite its refusal to recall 2.7 million Jeep Grand Cherokee and Liberty models this week over a gas tank fire risk, Chrysler will be recalling 630,000 Jeep Compass (pictured), Patriot and Wrangler vehicles around the globe for a pair of entirely different reasons.
The affected Compass and Patriot models are all from the 2010 to 2012 model years - 254,000 in the United States, 45,400 in Canada and 109,000 elsewhere in the world. In these models, a software error may result in the late deployment of the side airbags and seatbelt tensioners. In the event of a crash, failure of these systems could result in more serious injuries for the vehicle's occupants.
Jeep's go-anywhere Wrangler also faces a separate recall due to power steering fluid lines that can possibly wear a hole in the transmission oil cooler line. According to Chrysler, the vehicles could then leak fluid, possibly damaging the transmissions. Roughly 221,100 Wrangler models are being recalled because of this issue, all of which are fitted with Jeep's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. In the US, 181,000 vehicles are affected, with an additional 18,400 in Canada and 21,700 additional units worldwide. A Chrysler spokesperson said that no crashes or injuries have been reported with either case, according to the Associated Press.
