Now up for auction we have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler X 4x4 convertible (sorry we do not have the hardtop for this one!) with only 49,829 miles.  This is a super clean truck that you can fly in and drive home with the top down, or turn on the ice cold a/c and keep the top up!  The condition of this Wrangler is as follows.  Interior:  Super clean, showing minimal wear at best considering the year and mileage on her. Overall above average.  Body: Shines and still shows great, the right 1/4 panel has a dent on her (see pics), but you really have to look to see ( I missed it the first go around), and the soft top has a rip in her 1-2 inches on the passenger side.  But overall a good looking Jeep.  Mechanically:  Like I said you can fly in and drive home, she is mechanically sound.  Please remember your bid is a contract, please treat it as such.  We are a licensed NY state dealer (facility# 7109629), New York state residents will need to pay NY tax, this does not apply to out of state residents.  This Wrangler is being sold as is, we would like her paid for as well as removed within 10 days of the close of this auction.  You can call me with any questions at 914-968-0066x124 (Billy D). This Wrangler has a NY revin number, so I had to list it as a 1980 for it to be entered for auction.  It is a 2006 Jeep with a new vin number. With all that being said, thanks for looking and good luck bidding to all.

The List: Best of proving grounds

Fri, May 22 2015

Proving grounds are where automakers and enthusiasts alike go to push their vehicles to their mechanical limits. The Rubicon Trail, located in the Sierra Nevada, is the ultimate off-road test, while Germany's Nurburgring is a grueling 13 mile road and track course. Jessi and Patrick visit both iconic proving grounds in this "best of" compilation of The List. Petrolicious profiles an heirloom Willys Jeep CJ-3B

Tue, Mar 8 2016

Things tend to move pretty quickly in the automotive industry, but some icons that endure. Most of them are off-roaders – the Land Rover Defender, Mercedes G-Wagen, and of course the Jeep Wrangler. The latter traces its roots, of course, to the CJ-model Willys Jeep, built for civilian use in the wake of World War Two where it cut its teeth on the shores of Normandy and kicking off a legend that still endures over half a century later. For its latest video, Petrolicious profiles one such off-roader, and the man who owns it. That man is Larry Shank from California, and his ride is a 1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3B hooked up to a 1947 Ken-Skill Kustom Kamper Model 10. Both belonged to his father before him, and they would take family vacations in the wheeled pair from when he was young. His dad taught him to drive and maintain it, and they bonded over the shared experience. Shank still enjoys driving down the dirt roads and off the beaten paths of the American Southwest, and to hear him speak of it, he wouldn't trade in his Jeep for anything in the world. Watch his story unfold in the eight-minute video clip above to see what an enduring icon looks like. Jeep Wrangler Dragon Edition coming to North America

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

If 2012 was the year of the dragon in China, perhaps the US can claim 2014. After showing the Jeep Wrangler Dragon Design Concept at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show, and apparently receiving "tremendously positive feedback" from Jeep enthusiasts across the globe, the automaker has decided to introduce a production version that will hit US showrooms this fall with a price of $36,095.
"The dragon symbolizes strength and power and is an aspirational character normally associated with royalty and good fortune," says Jeep, and that apparently equates to a blacked-out Wrangler Unlimited with bronze satin gloss highlights inside and out, along with big dragon decals that start on the hood and run down the fenders. There are 18-inch matte black wheels with a bronze outer edges, and a dragon-emblazoned spare tire cover completes the look.
We suggest you peruse the high-res image gallery above to see all the black and bronze detailing yourself, and make special note of the interior. In related news, all 2014 Jeep Wrangler models get an optional Trail Kit and clear park lamps to replace the previous amber units. New colors include Amp'd, Anvil, Copperhead, Flame Red, Granite Crystal and Hydro Blue (Freedom edition only), which join carryover colors Billet Silver, Bright White, Black and Dune.
