You are looking at a very clean '06 Rubicon that has never been off road or abused. I looked long and hard to find this Jeep, i sorted through alot of junk to find this gem. I am the second owner. The original owner was an older gentleman so i was told. It is pretty much loaded with options, i added the compass/temperature mirror using factory Jeep parts. I think the only options it doesn't have are the add a trunk and the 6-disc radio. This Rubicon has a hard top only, there is NO soft top with it. It has all the usual Rubicon features that i'm sure you already know about. The body has some stone chips and light scratches, there is a dent in the hood that will likely come out with a good smack from the underside. I added new wetsuit material type seat covers to the front seats, new Husky liner floor liners in the front only, the door pads have some scratches on them. I have performed all necessary fluid changes to both axles, transmission, engine(of course) and antifreeze too. I had the cooling system flushed at the dealership. I replaced the transmission pan and the engine oil pan with brand new Chrysler parts as the original ones were rusty and i didn't like them. The tires are a couple of years old and are getting down, they should give another year or so of service. The spare tire is still new, same brand/model as the road tires are. The Jeep is currently licensed and driven daily in the good weather, because it is winter here right now it is parked for the winter. I had it sprayed with oil last fall. It runs excellent, lots of power, runs straight down the road. I added a 2" BB lift along with a new Tom Woods custom rear drive shaft and adjustable rear lower control arms. It also has had the turn signal switch replaced, a new OPDA, a new Delco battery, belt, new parking brake shoes and lubed up the parking brake linkages, new lift struts on the rear hatch and one O2 sensor. I replaced the transmission mount with a new factory replacement unit and i converted the transfer case shifter linkage over to a stand alone unit from the troublesome/noisey factory setup. It is noted on carfax that at some point someone tapped the left front wheel and that caused the wheel to tilt in a very small bit that no one noticed at the time it happened until i bought the Jeep, i noticed it, so i installed an offset balljoint in the top and the lower was worn out so it got replaced with a standard balljoint. The wheel is straight and true now, i only did the balljoint for cosmetic reasons, i'm a stickler for things looking proper. No function of the axle is affected, it runs totally proper and smooth. I am telling you this so there is no surprises. As far as i know everything on this Jeep works as it should.

The mileage listed above has been converted from kilometers, the kilometers on this Jeep right now read 96,898kms which converted to miles comes out to 60,209miles. This Jeep is in Ontario Canada and it does have daytime running lights. There should be no problem importing this Jeep back into the United States as it was built there. The shipping and shipping costs are totally up to the buyer, i can give you a vehicle transporter name/number that is local if you like.

I have described this 2006 Jeep Rubicon to the best of my abilty. It is being sold as is where is with no warranty written or implied. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. Please bid only if you can afford to buy this Jeep Rubicon. I don't want to waste my time or everyone elses. A $500 non refundable deposit must be paid via PayPal within 48 hours of the auction closing and i would prefer the rest of the selling amount to be paid within 7 days of the auction ending. If you have questions please ask me before you bid, thank you.

Buyers ditching expensive European sedans to buy expensive American trucks

Mon, Feb 19 2018

The New York Times ended the automotive week with a story that adds numbers and context to a range of other stories, from the crossover craze to the increasing median price of a new car to ever more grandiose pickup trucks. The NYT piece reveals that the shift to larger vehicles isn't merely about the average U.S. buyer swapping the midsize sedan for a Ford Edge. Luxury buyers are migrating from plush sedans to plush SUVs and trucks that creep close to six-figure prices, and the Detroit Three are running Treasury presses because of it. From 2013 to 2017, the truck category — everything from pickups to minivans — climbed from 30 percent of the market to 41 percent. In January of this year, trucks claimed 66 percent of new vehicle sales. At the milk-and-honey end of profits, GMC alone accounted for 11.3 percent of all vehicle sales over $60,000, not just trucks. That puts the luxury truck maker behind Mercedes-Benz and Ford, The Blue Oval's feasting on Lariat, King Ranch and Raptor versions of the F-150, which make up more than half of that pickup's sales, putting it ahead of Chevrolet, Porsche and Lexus on the high-dollar sales list. The average transaction price of a GMC in Denali trim last year was $56,000; it's easy to see why, when one dealer told the NYT he just swapped a 2012 BMW 550i for a $71,000 GMC Sierra Denali. That truck starts at $52,900. The NYT started its story with a buyer who took home a Ford Raptor instead of an Audi A6, and optioned that $50,020 Ford Raptor close to $80,000. Over at Lincoln, the new $72,055 Navigator — the one so popular that Ford will increase production — crossed hands for an average sale price of $77,000 in January. And a Jeep dealer told the NYT that the two $93,000 Trackhawks he had on his lot "won't be here more than a few weeks." While trucks head up in sales volume and price, cars are headed so viciously in the opposite direction that "the Detroit Three and even some foreign manufacturers acknowledge they are now losing money on many of the cars they sell." So ... get ready for a lot more crossovers and trucks. Related Video: Find out what vehicle is right for you. Give our Car Finder tool a try.

Sunday Drive: A tale of old favorites and upcoming challengers

Sun, Oct 8 2017

Sedans and crossovers dominated the attention of our readers last week, led by the completely redesigned 2018 Honda Accord. It's the Japanese automaker's flagship, and people are seriously interested in finding out how good the latest Accord is. So interested, in fact, that no other single story came close to the brand-new Accord in Autoblog reader interest. Moving down the list we find the equally new 2018 Buick Enclave. The three-row crossover has a lot to offer a family, especially one looking for a nice, quiet ride. If you're looking for the exact opposite of nice and quiet, but still want enough room for you and your significant others, the Subaru WRX that we tested last week may be the perfect ride for you. Or, if you just want to drive fast and aren't at all worried about space, there's the Camaro SS. See? We offer something for everybody. From there, we look to the future. Who isn't interested in seeing the first fully electric vehicle from Porsche? And who isn't intrigued to see the Mission E testing alongside a gaggle of Teslas? A brand-new Jeep is always a big deal, especially when it's the revival of a classic nameplate like the Grand Wagoneer. And finally, we have something completely different: the Rezvani Tank. As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2018 Honda Accord First Drive | Feels like home again 2018 Buick Enclave First Drive Review | Fortress of quietude 2018 Subaru WRX Drivers' Notes | Turbo traditionalist 2018 Chevy Camaro SS Drivers' Notes | Demonstrative power, middling interior Porsche Mission E caught testing against Teslas Jeep three-row SUV caught on public roads — Grand Wagoneer, perhaps? Chrysler recalling 630k Jeep models worldwide

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

Despite its refusal to recall 2.7 million Jeep Grand Cherokee and Liberty models this week over a gas tank fire risk, Chrysler will be recalling 630,000 Jeep Compass (pictured), Patriot and Wrangler vehicles around the globe for a pair of entirely different reasons.
The affected Compass and Patriot models are all from the 2010 to 2012 model years - 254,000 in the United States, 45,400 in Canada and 109,000 elsewhere in the world. In these models, a software error may result in the late deployment of the side airbags and seatbelt tensioners. In the event of a crash, failure of these systems could result in more serious injuries for the vehicle's occupants.
Jeep's go-anywhere Wrangler also faces a separate recall due to power steering fluid lines that can possibly wear a hole in the transmission oil cooler line. According to Chrysler, the vehicles could then leak fluid, possibly damaging the transmissions. Roughly 221,100 Wrangler models are being recalled because of this issue, all of which are fitted with Jeep's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. In the US, 181,000 vehicles are affected, with an additional 18,400 in Canada and 21,700 additional units worldwide. A Chrysler spokesperson said that no crashes or injuries have been reported with either case, according to the Associated Press.
