Offered for sale is an excellent example of a 2005 Wrangler TJ Unlimited (LJ) with 180,000 miles on the odometer.
You aficionados of modern Jeeps already know and understand the scarcity and popularity of this iteration of the
Jeep icon. This Jeep has never been wrecked, and has always been properly serviced. The Jeep was registered in New
York, however the previous owner would drive cross country to Florida every year in it (snowbird), thus it has
never seen a New England winter.
The first owner was a retired military officer. He had aftermarket options added to it throughout the time he owned
it and enjoyed the Jeep for ten years, using it every day; I am sure you can do the math 180k on the clock in 10
years is a lot of driving 90% of which was highway, however this Jeep was never off-roaded. The transmission was
replaced by the dealer and has less than 10,000 miles on it, after the swap it will cruise at 2000 RPMs going 70
MPH all day. During the swap the engine was looked over and necessary replacements were made. Those of you who have
been waiting for this Jeep will already know and appreciate its plethora of performance enhancements. My wife and I
just had our first child, thus, begrudgingly this awesome truck must be sold.
In addition to everything Jeep blessed this very capable off-roader with, here is a list of the 17k invested in
additional enhancements:
Rough Country 3" Suspension Lift
Rough Country 1" Body Lift
Bilstein Shocks front and rear
Rigid Industries R-46 Spot/Flood lights
Rigid Industries Dually Flood lights
QRC Front Bumper
XRC Rear Bumper with Tire Swing
Brand new aftermarket radiator with Silicone HPS hoses
New Jasper Overdrive Transmission w/ transmission cooler and temperature gauge
Magnaflow Custom Exhaust
Rancho Steering Stabilizer
Tom Woods Drive Shafts
Disk Brakes on all 4 corners
Brand new Optima Red Top Battery
Cooper Discovery All-Terrain Tires
Bed-lined Interior and Undercarriage
Fogged Frame (prevents any rusting from inside the frame, which is very common on these trucks)
Aftermarket Delta Headlights
Corbeau Leather seats
Bestop Rear Jumper Seat
Kenwood Aftermarket Radio
Pyle Marine Amp
All of the factory audio was replaced with Kicker Speakers
Bestop Slantback Soft top-Allows the front section over the driver and passenger to be folded back independently
like a sunroof. The top is in excellent shape - no holes, tears, rips or fading and the windows are all clear. The
original paint is in excellent condition and shines very well.
The Blue Book value on this truck is ~$10,000 bone stock, you will not be able to own a better example of a well
modified Jeep without dumping 17k into one yourself.

Jeep dealer buries WWII Willys GP in showroom floor
Tue, 04 Nov 2014The Willys MB Jeep earned icon status during World War II thanks to its ruggedness, simplicity and go-anywhere ability. Following the war, it didn't take long for the handy vehicles to be scooped up by the public, and a brand slowly grew around the vehicles that has continued to thrive. Fast-forward to present day, where it's not uncommon for auto dealers to try to grab some of the magic of yesteryear by displaying classic models to connect customers with their brands' proud histories. Now, a Canadian Chrysler Group dealer is taking that notion to the extreme by actually making a vintage WWII Jeep part of its foundation.
Bay King Chrysler in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, recently completed its new showroom, and the franchise really wanted to show its dedication to the Jeep brand. As dealer principal Jamie Richter tells Autoblog, the inspiration for the Jeep installation came from his brother, who became fascinated with a home that had a glass floor looking down into its wine cellar. The company already had the 1943 Willys MB to display, but it had originally planned to build a jungle gym around it for customers' kids. Now, the classic is literally in the floor as customers enter. Richter tells Autoblog that customer reaction so far has been "fantastic."
It's certainly a novel way to bring people into the showroom, and seemingly a nice nod not only to Jeep, but to the men and women who served in the war. If you want to see more about how the Jeep was actually installed and what it looks like, check out this video.
Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango to lose color options temporarily
Wed, 19 Nov 2014In the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango? Well, if you fancy a more expressive color for your new SUV, you'd better get your order in, or plan on waiting until well into 2015.
The SUVs will be limited to just four monochromatic shades - black, white, silver and gray - until at least February, thanks to an upgrade to the paint shop at the two vehicles' Jefferson North factory. For the Grand Cherokee, that means it's losing more than half its color palette while the Durango is dropping two-thirds of its color catalog.
The loss of colors is inconvenient, but the upgrade will have a slightly bigger effect on the overall supply of SUVs, as Chrysler will need to end its relentless build pace at the factory for a three-week shutdown starting on December 22. The good news for fans of the SUVs is that once the work is completed, we should see a gradual expansion of the color palettes for both the Durango and Grand Cherokee, beyond even what's offered now.
Chrysler banks $507 million in Q2, trims 2013 earnings forecast
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Chrysler has some good news and some bad news. First, profits were up 16 percent over the second quarter of 2012, bringing the Auburn Hills, Michigan-based manufacturer $507 million on the back of strong demand for trucks and SUVs (a recurring theme this quarter, particularly in the US). Q2 revenue was up as well, from $16.8 billion in 2012 to $18 billion in 2013. The bad news is that the Pentastar's overall earnings forecast for net income in 2013 has been trimmed from $2.2 billion to between $1.7 and $2.2 billion, according to Automotive News.
In addition to the adjusted net income forecast, Chrysler tweaked its operating profit from $3.8 billion to between $3.3 and $3.8 billion. This has gone largely unexplained by Chrysler, perhaps hoping the news of a three-percent increase in its transaction prices for Q2 will allow it to sweep this adjustment under the rug.
The star of the show for Chrysler has been its US sales, which saw a 10-percent jump, both bettering the industry average of eight percent and improving over the same stretch of 2012. As with the increase in transaction prices, Chrysler has the new Ram pickup and Jeep Grand Cherokee to thank. Perhaps most worrying from this report, though, is that every brand in the automaker's stable saw an increase in sales... except for the Chrysler brand itself.
