For sale is my 2003 Jeep Rubicon That I had custom built.  They say "a Jeep can go anywhere but not too fast"  Here is your exception to that rule.  I purchased this Arizona jeep and installed a GM LS-3 5.3 V8 with 4L-60E transmission package from a rear ended silverado with 46 K on the clock.  It came with all necessary components from the donor truck including the drive by wire throttle, clean wiring harness, ecm Etc.  This is the aluminum block version and weighs 100 pounds less than the lethargic 6, and is rated at around 340 hp with free flow exhaust and intake.  The body/odometer digital dash reads 107,000 but is actually about 53k.  The motor is stock.  ALL driveline components were removed and rebuilt of refurbished with new fluids and seals.  Rear axles were replaced with USA Alloy hardened axles as a precaution with factory 4:10's, the rest of the driveline is stock Rubicon and in excellent working order.  The lockers will work in hi or low lock.  The chassis was coated with bullet proof pore 15 coating and the interior floor pan is coated with Rhino line.  The Jeep sits on a 4" long arm lift, 35" tires and a 1" body lift.  The top is a new Bestop Sunrider, 1000 watt stereo, and tons more bling and goodies.  All of the work was done by a professional shop and there are no issues with the vehicle whatsoever.  Please ask questions and come and see it for yourself...This is a bad boy jeep, not for the timid or shy.  It has absolutely no rust ANYWHERE and has not seen mud, just a little sand.  I have all paperwork for parts and professional installation.  Carfax is clean, and I am 52 years old-the truck has never been abused, just my little Jeep hotrod. This item is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.  May consider trade for cabin cruiser boat.  TXT questions to 219-617-3993.  The last pic. is Ruby's replacement.  I have clean title in hand.  Make a non-insulting offer and she may be yours!

Chrysler earns $1.7B in 2012, revises product plans for US

Wed, 30 Jan 2013

Hot on the heels of Ford's earnings announcement for the year that was, Chrysler today reported a 2012 net income of $1.7 billion, up substantially from the comparatively minuscule $183 million profit earned in 2011 when it repaid its US government loans.
Chrysler's good year ended with an excellent fourth quarter that saw net income rise 68 percent from $225 million in 2011 to $378 million. Where are all those extra earnings coming from? Market share, which Chrysler saw increase to 11.4% last year on sales of 1.65 million vehicles. In fact, the Auburn Hills, MI-based automaker out-paced the industry's market growth of 13 percent last year with sales up 21 percent for the year.
The company also revealed an updated product plan for its Chrysler Group and Fiat brands that looks all the way out to 2016. It's an updated version of the plan introduced in 2009 shortly after Fiat took control of the American automaker, and includes such new additions as an Alfa Romeo model, likely the 4C, to be introduced in the US this year, as well five more Alfa models by 2016. Likewise, Fiat will be growing by an additional seven models in the coming few years.

Jeep Renegade signed by the Rolling Stones brings in $46k for charity

Thu, Jan 1 2015

What do Jeep and the Rolling Stones have in common? Well, they've both have been around for longer than most of us, they seem just about indestructible, and not long after one shipped out from America to help save Britain, the other lead the British Invasion of America. But the two enduring icons also came together this past summer as one sponsored the other's European tour. And while they were in Rome, Jeep had the members of the legendary rock group sign a new Renegade that just went up for auction. Bearing the signatures of the immortal Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts, this star-studded, pint-sized off-roader – the first Jeep to be built in Italy – sold for an impressive $46,000 to an anonymous bidder. That's about two-and-a-half times what the new pebble-crawler is expected to sell for when it reaches showrooms. Proceeds from the sale, handled by Charitybuzz.com, will benefit Community Links, a social-inclusion organization based in London. View 56 Photos

Jeep reveals annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari concepts

Wed, 20 Mar 2013

Jeep has unveiled its annual spate of concepts before the Easter Jeep Safari. Those start with the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept (below left), complete with the company's EcoDiesel V6 engine. Designers threw in a set of 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires wrapped around 17-inch Rubicon wheels, and a set of custom fender flares help keep all that rubber under wraps.
Meanwhile, the Wrangler Mopar Recon (below right) packs a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 good for 470 horsepower. All that grunt gets to the ground via a five-speed automatic transmission and a set of a Dana 60 axles frond and rear with 4.10 gears. The Recon also makes use of a 4.5-inch prototype long-arm kit and a set of prototype eight-lug bead lock wheels.
The Wrangler Stitch (below left) builds on the momentum of the Wrangler Pork Chop Concept. Engineers once again set out to strike as much weight as possible from the vehicle, and actually managed to trim the curb weight down to 3,000 pounds. That effort has given the machine the same power to weight ratio as the Grand Cherokee SRT8. Plenty of carbon fiber, door deletes and a chrome moly roll cage all help trim those pounds, and a set of DanyTrac Pro Rock 44 axles with 4.88 gears and ARB lockers front and rear let this machine scramble over whatever is in its path.
