1999 Jeep Wrangler, owned for 7 years, purchased off the original owner. It is a 4.0 5 speed manual. Well maintained, Mobil 1 synthetic every 3k. I bought it with 43k on it, and now has 137k on it. Accident free. It was used as an every day vehicle for the first 5 years, the last 2 years was used more or less as a weekend fun toy. I live on long island. It was basically used as a "mall crawler".
PROS: 6 inch suspension lift, custom long arm kit in front and short arm in rear, Adjustable Acos spacers front and rear, New swaybar discos, also new tierod ends and steering box and steering shaft. Drivetrain: Tom Woods driveshaft and slip yoke eliminator, Mickey Thompson limited edition rims with BRAND new Cooper STT 35x12.5x15. 4.56 Yukon gears with limited slip in rear. B&M short throw shifter, 3 core aluminum radiator, throttle body spacer, Banks header to Flowmaster exhaust. The tube fenders, bumpers and sliders are all Smitty Bilt. Aftermarket over-sized swing out spare tire carrier. Throw back CJ bucket seats. Lots of aftermarket lights.
CONS: Im trying to be as honest as possible describing my Jeep as best as I can. First, it has an exhaust leak at the header ( COMMON problem with these year Jeeps) I haven't had the time to change it. Typical rust on the under carriage and passenger floor pan (seen in pics) for the age of vehicle. No carpet, no a/c, No Hardtop, circular LED taillights which are flaky at times. I do have a new set of LED taillights that will come with Jeep.
Overall Jeep is in great condition. Always covered when not in use and washed and waxed regularly. Paint is very good condition, no body rust. This Jeep is very nice, not perfect, has minor blemishes here and there. Extremely dependable, will start up and drive anywhere i.e. I drove this to Colorado and back plus many trips to Virginia. Drives like a Jeep, great for bopping around and having fun. Not really a commuter Jeep due to the gears and the tires, that being said it does cruise 60MPH no problem. Vehicle is sold in "as-is" condition. Cash or certified Bank check
ANY questions feel free to call me at 631-702-0036. My name is Josh.

Marchionne defends FCA recalls, says Wrangler won't be all-aluminum
Fri, May 22 2015FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne recently received the 2015 Industry Leadership Award from the SAE Foundation. While speaking with the press after the event, the boss discussed his thoughts about some key issues regarding the company's future. One of the big regulatory issues facing FCA at the moment is the upcoming public hearing by the National Highway Traffic Safety into the automaker's handling of 20 recalls. Marchionne has no intention of testifying there, according to The Detroit News. The CEO also thinks that the government regulator is becoming much more aggressive in how it handles safety campaigns, but the Feds aren't necessarily doing a very good job of communicating that. "We need to work with the agency in a very cooperative and open way to make sure that we can meet their requirements for their new stance," he said, according to the newspaper. "We have no option but to comply with their requirements and we will. I have nothing to hide in this process. I just want clear rules." Marchionne also dropped the news that the company has changed its mind about making the next Jeep Wrangler totally from aluminum. "Because of the difference in cost, not just the new material but the actual assembly process, I think we can do almost as well without doing it all-aluminum," he said to The Detroit News. This seemingly opens the door for the model to remain in production in Toledo, OH, but only just a crack. Marchionne says that the new Wrangler would still use a large amount of aluminum, and there are "at least" two sites in contention for the assembly. The company doesn't have too long to make a decision because the model reportedly launches in 2017.
Chrysler earns $1.7B in 2012, revises product plans for US
Wed, 30 Jan 2013Hot on the heels of Ford's earnings announcement for the year that was, Chrysler today reported a 2012 net income of $1.7 billion, up substantially from the comparatively minuscule $183 million profit earned in 2011 when it repaid its US government loans.
Chrysler's good year ended with an excellent fourth quarter that saw net income rise 68 percent from $225 million in 2011 to $378 million. Where are all those extra earnings coming from? Market share, which Chrysler saw increase to 11.4% last year on sales of 1.65 million vehicles. In fact, the Auburn Hills, MI-based automaker out-paced the industry's market growth of 13 percent last year with sales up 21 percent for the year.
The company also revealed an updated product plan for its Chrysler Group and Fiat brands that looks all the way out to 2016. It's an updated version of the plan introduced in 2009 shortly after Fiat took control of the American automaker, and includes such new additions as an Alfa Romeo model, likely the 4C, to be introduced in the US this year, as well five more Alfa models by 2016. Likewise, Fiat will be growing by an additional seven models in the coming few years.
Jeep shows off Moab Easter Safari concepts crawling the red rocks
Thu, 28 Mar 2013While most brands are busy showing off in New York, Jeep headed out to Moab for the Easter Jeep Safari with the company's fleet of 2013 concepts. This year saw the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk II, Wrangler Mopar Recon, Wrangler Stitch, Wrangler Sand Trooper II, Wrangler Flattop and Wrangler Slim Concepts tackle the rocks and sand, and Jeep was kind enough to bring along a camera crew to film the machines rolling over a few obstacles. The result is the video below, though don't expect to see too much hardcore off road action.
Instead, the quick clip features more than a few interviews with Jeep executives, including Jeep Head of Product Design Mark Allen, explaining what makes the Easter Jeep Safari so important. You can check out the quick clip below for yourself, and be sure to thumb through our galleries of the concepts as well.
