For sale is a well equipped '97 TJ with a little shy of 140k mi.  The Jeep is garage kept as I keep the soft top off, as it is only driven on sunny days without the chance of rain.  There are half doors on it now but I have full steel doors with matching paint which are included.  Also included are the spare tire with matching wheel which is not on the vehicle now, as seen in pic.

The engine is the famed 4.0L which is virtually bombproof when maintained.  As such...the oil and K&N filter have been changed every 3K miles. I just had the Jeep shop in Chester Springs, PA replace the radiator with a updated stainless steel one. Also done were the water pump, thermostat and housing, valve cover gaskets, stainless steel brake lines, rear evap line, brake fluid, coolant temp sensor, brake master cylinder, serpantine belt, and new interstate battery.

I purchased this vehicle from a friend that works at Quadratec if all the extras look familiar.  Every option has been done right as moreless everything has been updated from stock including a one-off custom roll bar, stereo, speakers and sub, seats and suspension. There are a ton of upgrades as the Jeep has been used in Quadratecs photo shoots.

While driving this past year, my son hit a deer and there were scratches to the ARB bumper which I did not repair but the WARN winch that is attached works perfectly.  Because of the accident, I had the drivers side fender, hood, and grill re-sprayed and cleared in matching flame red.  Also replaced were the Bushwacker fender flare, painted and cleared as well.  Since you can't purchase only 1 flare that was scratched by the deer, I had to buy all 4. I replaced all but 1 of them because I had intentions of repairing some small rust on top of the passenger side front fender before it gets worse. It's not bad, but bothers me. I have the other flare if someone that purchases the Jeep wants to repair it since the flare should be taken off anyway and replaced with the new one.

As anyone knows Jeep, this vehicle could easily be driven as a daily driver if the commute was small, but driven long distances will kill you at the pump due to the lift and tire size.  As for the tires...they will pass inspection which is up in September but they are getting close to needing replaced.

Included in the price are a safari top, new alternator, hawk brake pads, clutch kit, lights and bulbs, and many extras given to me from the gentleman I purchased the Jeep from.  None of these need replaced......they are just extras. I also have an extra wheel I will include.

It kills me to have to sell the Jeep as I have taken extreme care of it and it's a phenominal "toy".  Unfortunately due to a divorce and unseen attorney fees, the toys must go.  My loss is someones gain as this Jeep is a head turner and will run for hundreds of thousands miles if well maintained.  Anyone familiar with the 4.0L engine already knows this.

Paypal only please.

Feel free to call or email me any questions and I'll respond as soon as possible.

Chrysler accelerates Jeep recall repairs from 2018 to March

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

You may remember that Jeep's unusual fix for this recall involves fitting a trailer hitch.
The recall of about 1.5 million models of the 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty and 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee over fuel tanks may finish far sooner than originally estimated. In a new filing from Jeep's parent, Chrysler Group, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company says that it can complete the repairs for the affected vehicles by March 2015, much sooner than the previous estimate of sometime in 2018. Jeep predicts the total cost of the campaign will be around $151 million.

Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names

Tue, Mar 17 2015

Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.
