1995 Jeep Wrangler Rio Grande Sport Utility 2-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Jacksonville, Florida, United States
Ebay has insisted that we list as SALVAGE TITLE because the previous owner in SC wouldn't allow the insurance company to total it over a fender bender. Absolutely zero frame damage. I bought it with the damage, which was the drivers door and rocker needing to be replaced. I have the previous owner hunting down pictures of the damage so email me if you need them. The fact that you're looking at this listing means it's a sad day. This a great vehicle which has provided not only daily transportation but also great memorable recreational times with our family. The two words I would use for this vehicle is FUN and RELIABLE! Here's the nuts and bolts and I'm sure I may miss a few things. 4" ProComp Suspension Lift, 3" Body Lift, 36 " Super Swamper Irok Tires on aluminum ProComp Wheels, 10,000 lb. Wench, 4:11 Gears allow it to run 70 mph down the road, Side Steps/Rocker Guards, has a Quick Detachable Tow Bar with Hauling Plug hard mounted to body, has a 2' X 4' Carry Tray for Coolers, etc. that slides into the Reese Hitch, "the tray is not in picture but does come with the Jeep". The Jeep also has a Best Top, the top and all windows are in excellent condition with no tears or broken zippers. Also comes with 2 additional tops, one half Bimini (color is camel) the other is a full Bimini ( color black). There is a High Lift Farm Jack mounted on the hood. Has a Pioneer CD Player with Detachable Face, Polk Audio Waterproof Speakers in dash, Klipsch Waterproof Speakers mounted in back seat for great sound at 70 mph or for the whole beach to listen to.There is a Center Console and Cobra 25 LTD.CB Radio which is not pictured but is also part of this package. Previous owner said motor was rebuilt in 2011. We have completely rebuilt the front axle ( seals, bearings,etc.). I'm probably leaving something out because there is to much to list, but if you are looking at the picture you probably see the motorcycle in the back and the wife told me if I bought the motorcycle the Jeep would have to go. This is a steal with tons of extras! The winning bidder of this Jeep will be happy with their purchase. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. Seller will deliver vehicle up to 250 mile radius from Jacksonville, FL Good Luck and Happy Bidding!

2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio vs. 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk: On-paper sibling rivalry
Thu, Feb 15 2018Pricing was revealed for the 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, and with its $81,590 price tag, it's within range of yet another high-performance SUV from Fiat-Chrysler: the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. The Hellcat-powered Jeep is more expensive than the Stelvio at $86,995, but depending on options, the price advantage might go either way. This left us wondering, how similar are these two high-powered SUVs? Besides sharing the same number of words in their very-long names, we took a look at some of their performance specs and put them in the spreadsheet below. As always, if you want to compare either of these with other speedy SUVs, be sure to try out our comparison tools. As far as outright speed, both SUVs are surprisingly close. The Trackhawk is just a bit quicker in a straight line, hitting 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds as opposed to the Alfa's 3.9. The Jeep's 180-mph top speed is also 3-mph quicker than the Alfa. But neither of these differences is especially huge. What makes this interesting is how different the paths each SUV takes to get to its results. The Trackhawk accomplishes the task with pure grunt. It has Dodge's Hellcat supercharged 6.2-liter V8 making 707 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque to overcome its hefty 5,363-pound body. The Alfa, on the other hand, makes do with less power and torque, 505 and 443, respectively, from its twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6. It has less weight, though. Exactly how much less we're not sure, since Alfa hasn't revealed that number, but a regular Stelvio weighs right around 4,000 pounds, so we would guess the weight is similar, possibly a little more. View 14 Photos The differences in how each SUV achieves its performance should result in pretty different driving characteristics, and probably different buyers. Each SUV's bragging points also indicates this. The Trackhawk boasts an impressive 11.6-second claimed quarter-mile time, something that American muscle car fans everywhere care about. The Alfa brags about how it's the fastest production SUV to lap the Nurburgring, something sure to impress fans of foreign cars and those that value handling over straight-line performance. So really, although these two SUVs have performance similarities, they're also very different, and the right one for you depends on what you value. View 29 Photos Also, as an afterthought, we wonder if the guys that attempted a Viper record at the 'Ring would be up for trying to break the Alfa time with the Jeep.
Fiat Chrysler to get $105M fine from NHTSA for recall woes
Sun, Jul 26 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is about to send a powerful message to automakers doing business in the United States, assuming reports of an upcoming $105 million fine against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles comes to fruition. In addition to the record-setting monetary fine, according to The Wall Street Journal, FCA will have to accept an independent auditor that will monitor the company's recall and safety processes and will be forced to buy back certain recalled vehicles. In other cases, such as with Jeep Grand Cherokee and Liberty models with gas tanks that could potentially catch fire in certain types of accidents, FCA will offer financial encouragement for owners to get their recall work done or to trade those older vehicles in on new cars, according to the report. FCA could reportedly reduce its fines if it meets certain conditions, though those remain unclear at this time. These actions against FCA are being taken after NHTSA began a probe into the automaker over almost two dozen separate instances where the government claims FCA failed to follow proper procedures for recalls and safety defects. Included in those safety lapses are more than 11 million vehicles currently in customer hands. These penalties and fines are separate from the investigation over security problems with Chrysler's Uconnect system that allowed hackers to obtain remote access into key vehicle systems in 1.4 million vehicles. NHTSA closes probes on Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey
Wed, 09 Jan 2013The Detroit News reports the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially closed its investigations into 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2004-2005 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey models. The separate probes found no issues that pose safety concerns. NHTSA began investigating certain Grand Cherokee SUVs over complaints that power steering hoses could detach during operation, thereby increasing the risk of a vehicle fire. Of the 24 reports of failure, none alleged smoke or fire in the engine bay, and Chrysler has since modified the power steering cooler assembly to reduce the likelihood of the failure.
Meanwhile, certain Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey vehicles garnered a government probe after receiving complaints that the models were equipped with faulty scissor jacks. The agency had received six reports of the jacks failing or causing injuries, including one incident that resulted in a fatality. But NHTSA says the jack failure rate is similar to those found in other vehicles. In those six cases, the government agency found the jacks were being used for something other than changing a tire, and investigators could not determine whether the emergency brake was set or the rear tires were properly chocked.
