1992 JEEP WRANGLER YJ 6 CYLINDER 5 SPEED up for auction is my 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ. I have been restoring it for the past year, but unfortunately I need to sell it now. I have done alot of thing to the jeep. She starts right up and runs great. Lets talk about the mechanical status. I put a brand new clutch and slave cylinder in a couple months ago at Meineke. The brakes were serviced a month ago. The battery is brand new. The muffler is brand new. new diamond plate rocker panels. All guages work. 4 wheel drive seems to work fine. I have not taken off road. The slip yolk is new as well as the uv joints front and rear. The rear shocks are new. Now for the body status. Both the passenger side and driver side rear shackle mounts have been replaced and welded on. Passenger and driver side rocker panels replaced. drivers floor pan replaced. other areas have been cut out and welded back on. The windshield has been replaced and has no rust. The inside of the jeep was just rhino lined. The seats are in fair condition. The tires are mismatched. 2 mickey thompson 32x11.5x15 in front. and 1 michelin and BF in Rear. Spare tire is no good. 5 American racing outlaw II rims in fair condition. I believe it has a 4" shackle lift. Jeep has smittybilt tube bumper in front with lights that needs to be hooked up. All lights work in front and rear. When replacing the rear shackle mounts I have not replaced the Bushings in the Rear leaf spring. Just put another bushing for now. E brake does not work. The speakers need to be hooked up. I replaced the transmission skid plate as well as the gas tank skid plate. New fender flares front and rear. May have a slight leak or 2 but no big deal. No doors or top. Just bikini top and new cover. New clear side markers as well as new hood hardware. It's a Jeep who needs doors or a top?. Also included are a new set of grab handles. I was going to paint it soon but ran out of funds. It is Army green right now. Could use a good sanding before painting. Over all it's a great Jeep. It is 22 years old and obviously is not a new jeep. Do not bid on the Jeep if you are looking for something perfect. She is close to being done and runs great. I have put a ton of money and time into the jeep from all the welding work to all the mechanical work. This is a chance to own a great jeep for a great price. I wish I could finish it but it must go. Please email me with any questions. I am an honest person and will answer all questions the best I can. Please notice my 100% feedback. Good Luck!!! Jeep is being sold as is. If you have any doubts please do not make an offer. Ask questions and I will respond ASAP. |

Chrysler Recalling Nearly 907,000 Cars, SUVs
Fri, Oct 17 2014Nearly 907,000 Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep SUVs and cars are being recalled for alternators that can fail and heated power mirror wiring that can short and cause minor fires. The recalls, posted Thursday by U.S. safety regulators, push the total number of recalls so far this year 544, totaling a record of more than 52 million vehicles. The largest of Thursday's recalls covers nearly 470,000 Jeep Grand Cherokees, Chrysler 300s, and Dodge Chargers, Challengers and Durangos from the 2011 through 2014 model years. The alternators can fail, causing the 3.6-liter V6 engines to stall unexpectedly. The problem also can cause the electrical system to fail, as well as knock out power-assisted steering, antilock brakes and electronic stability control. It can even cause fire or smoke, according to documents Chrysler filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. NHTSA opened an investigation into the problem in July, and Chrysler began its own probe in August. The company analyzed warranty complaints and alternators that had failed. The alternator generates electricity to recharge the battery and run other devices. Chrysler investigators traced the problem to heat fatigue in an alternator diode. Chrysler said it received 322 complaints about the problem, while 55 people complained to NHTSA. The company said it knows of one crash related to the problem, but no injuries or fires. The company will replace the alternators with upgraded versions for free. Owners will be notified in November. The company says customers who see warning lights or suspect a problem should contact their dealers. The recall affects cars and SUVs sold mainly in the U.S. and Canada, but some were sold in Mexico and overseas markets. The second recall covers almost 437,000 Jeep Wranglers from 2011 through 2013. Water can find its way into the heated power mirror wiring harness and cause corrosion. That can cause a short and could cause a minor fire and smoke, as well as cause loss of function of the mirror. The problem was discovered in February after three Wranglers in Canada were damaged. Chrysler says it has 26 complaints about the problem, but it knows of no fires, crashes or injuries. Dealers will move the wiring and install a protective shield to keep water out at no cost to owners, starting in December. Most of the Wranglers are in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, but more than 78,000 were sold overseas.
Jeep to stop using bad Takata airbag inflators next week
Tue, Jun 21 2016FCA is gradually ceasing to produce vehicles equipped with Takata airbag inflaters found to be inherently faulty. These airbags, which lack a certain drying agent, have been linked with dangerous premature ruptures. According to FCA, the only vehicle still in production with the named airbag is the 2016 Jeep Wrangler, and in this case they are passenger-side airbags. Fiat Chrysler says it isn't aware of any incidents involving these air bag inflaters in Jeeps, but amidst concerns that vehicles with failure-prone airbags are still being marketed to customers, North American-market 2016 Wranglers will cease to be equipped with them starting next week. As per FCA's statement, global production is expected to end by mid-September. In addition to Toledo, Ohio, the Wrangler is produced in Egypt. FCA isn't going to sell the cars with the deemed-faulty airbags without disclosing the fact to the customers: anyone buying a 2016 Wrangler will be notified that the vehicle will most likely be subject to a recall in the future, even if there is not currently a recall announced for them. NHTSA has specified a "Coordinated Remedy Program" recall schedule for the coming years, and the airbag inflaters will degrade over a time frame of several years, when subjected to a humid environment. GMC wants to target Jeep with compact crossover
Mon, Dec 14 2015GMC execs might consider adding a Jeep competitor to the range, but rather than new rumors of a Wrangler-fighter, this time the Professional Grade brand could go after the Renegade. Division boss Duncan Aldred would like to broaden the brand's lineup with a subcompact crossover. "I keep telling everyone, 'How can General Motors' truck brand not be in the fastest-growing segment in the industry, an SUV segment," he said to Automotive News but wouldn't confirm whether the model was under development. General Motors already offers small crossovers like the Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore, but the CUV segment in general continues to drive auto sales in the US. Adding a similarly sized GMC to the mix might increase the automaker's volume by appealing to different customers. "A GMC buyer is very different from a Buick buyer. This is like comparing the Fiat 500X to the Jeep Renegade. They are very similar but appeal to different people," Dave Sullivan, Product Analysis Manager at AutoPacific, told Autoblog. Aldred started the speculation about a Wrangler-fighting model in an interview in late 2014, and the company reportedly even raised the idea of an offroad-focused vehicle to dealers to see how they reacted. The development process was only in the very early planning stages, but the brand considered using Hummer for a little of the new product's inspiration. Aldred later suggested to journalists the possibility of adding a compact or midsize SUV to the GMC range in the next 10 years to appeal to more buyers. He didn't comment directly on the possibility of the Wrangler-challenger at the time beyond saying: "I can't confirm that ... everything's on the table." Related Video:
