90 Jeep Wrangler YJ 4x4, 2.5L 4cyl, 5 speed manual. Jeep runs and drives good and 4x4 works. High and Low range works fine as well. Jeep has a soft top and a bikini top, both are in good condition with no rips or tears. It has a 1.5 inch lift and has 31x10.5-15 Nitto Dune Grappler Tires mounted on Ion Alloy wheels and has matching spare. Tires have less then 2.000 miles on them. The jeep shows 110,xxx on the odometer and the indiana title shows miles exempt.
This jeep has been my daily driver for 2 years. In the 2 years i have had it it has been well maintaned and i have continually worked on it in my spare time making it better. It was painted 2 years ago and it looks great. It has a few nicks and blemishes as any jeep that gets driven would probably have, (check pictures)The interior floor has been painted with bed liner. The front seats are in pretty good shape for their age with the driver seat having a couple of small tears in it, nothing bad but they are there.
Since i have owned it i have installed:
New Rancho shocks
New Fuel Pump
New Alternator
New Alternator Belt
New Throw Out Bearing/Clutch Slave Cylinder
New Motor Mounts
Jeep has a JVC AMFM/CD Player with aux port and remote control. However the speakers need replaced for good sound. Also the windshield is cracked on the passenger side. Fuel gauge does not work.
Vehicle is located within 1.7 miles of exit 234 on I69 in central indiana. Call or Text Tom 765 635-9345 with any questions or to set up an appointment to look at the jeep.

Fiat Chrysler to get $105M fine from NHTSA for recall woes

Sun, Jul 26 2015

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is about to send a powerful message to automakers doing business in the United States, assuming reports of an upcoming $105 million fine against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles comes to fruition. In addition to the record-setting monetary fine, according to The Wall Street Journal, FCA will have to accept an independent auditor that will monitor the company's recall and safety processes and will be forced to buy back certain recalled vehicles. In other cases, such as with Jeep Grand Cherokee and Liberty models with gas tanks that could potentially catch fire in certain types of accidents, FCA will offer financial encouragement for owners to get their recall work done or to trade those older vehicles in on new cars, according to the report. FCA could reportedly reduce its fines if it meets certain conditions, though those remain unclear at this time. These actions against FCA are being taken after NHTSA began a probe into the automaker over almost two dozen separate instances where the government claims FCA failed to follow proper procedures for recalls and safety defects. Included in those safety lapses are more than 11 million vehicles currently in customer hands. These penalties and fines are separate from the investigation over security problems with Chrysler's Uconnect system that allowed hackers to obtain remote access into key vehicle systems in 1.4 million vehicles. Radical 2016 Jeep Wrangler suggested by job listings?

Fri, 31 May 2013

With most inside the industry expecting the next-generation Jeep Wrangler to arrive for the 2016 model year, it makes sense that the automaker would be looking for some choice candidates to to fill program openings as the off-roader goes through its development. A recent ad on Chryslercareers.com suggests to some that the lightweight Wrangler Stitch Concept, revealed just two months ago and shown above, provides some clues about the off-road icon's next iteration.
According to Automotive News, the job descriptions - which don't name the model specifically - hint that the next-generation Wrangler will benefit from a serious diet. The ads appear to seek those familiar with advanced high-strength steels, hinting that lightweight aluminum body panels may appear on the 4x4. In addition, there are suggestions that Jeep may fit the Wrangler replacement with air suspension, as seen on the Ram and Grand Cherokee, to retain ample off-road clearance yet lower that chassis to improve aerodynamics at highway speeds. The job postings reportedly also lend credence to the idea of a diesel Wrangler.
It seems every bit of the next-generation Wrangler is up for review, as it will be the first time this iconic model is redesigned under Fiat ownership. Questions remain whether or not the Jeep will retain its clip-down hood, easy-to-remove door pins and folding front windshield - loyalists expect them, but fuel economy and safety standards may crimp their cases for survival.

FCA's Pentastar V6 gets more power, efficiency for 2016

Wed, Sep 2 2015

Already a vital member of FCA's powertrain lineup, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 is receiving major efficiency improvements for 2016. Thanks to a massive amount of new tech attached to the mill, fuel economy is up six percent, and torque below 3,000 rpm jumps nearly 15 percent. The updates arrive first in the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but they should proliferate to other models eventually. At least in the Grand Cherokee, the tweaks push power up five horsepower to 295 ponies. FCA's engineers went through the Pentastar from top to bottom to eke out as much efficiency as possible. For example, there's now a two-speed variable-valve lift system that can run in low- or high-lift modes. This upgrade is responsible for 2.7-percent better economy, the company claims. A new intake manifold with longer runners and updated variable-valve times also helps boost the torque output. Further improvements come from pushing the compression ratio to 11.3:1, from 10.2:1 before. Perhaps most impressive is that despite all of the innovations, the latest Pentastar actually weighs four pounds less than the current version. Beyond the Pentastar improvements, all of the FCA US gasoline engines, except for the Viper's 8.4-liter V10, will be E15-compatible for 2016. The company says that it wants to be ready for the higher ethanol content fuel's greater use in the near future.
