2006 Rubi with 69,972 miles (may be a little more due to occasional driving while it's up for sale. I had Chrysler email the build sheet with all of the exact specs and the total number of Impact Orange Rubicon's built in 2006 (only 452). It is in super good condition with the interior and exterior showing very little signs of use. No dents, dings or notable scratches. There are a few rock chips due to driving that has been touched up. The black Sunrider soft top is in good shape as well (hardtop was sold by the previous owner). It runs and drives like it should. The interior is near perfect and still pretty much original with the exception of a set of front all weather floor liners by Quadratec, Pioneer Mixtrax satellite radio with USB connections and an under dash courtesy light disabling switch (just flip the switch when you remove the doors). Now the exterior and drivetrain is a different story. I wanted to build a trail beast while trying to keep the jeeps awesome originality. Starting with the suspension, I went with a full 4" coil spring lift using Teraflex springs and 8 Teraflex classic adjustable control arms. From there, I used Old Man Emu Nitrocharger shocks and a multitude of other high end components to complete the lift. I then added a set of 4 new Kenda Klever 285/75SR16 on the stock Moab Rubicon wheels. Next a new Rugged Ridge black textured front and rear tube bumpers with a set of KC off-road lights added to the front. Finally, a set of Poison Spyder rocker knockers with tube and a fuel door cover were painted to match the body color and installed.
The ONLY notable thing that I will say about this Jeep (if you want to even call it that) is that it originally was sold and driven up north and there is some surface oxidation on some of the bare metal parts under the jeep (muffler, hubs, nuts, bolts etc) as seen in some of the pics. It is not bad but I am a detail perfectionist and want to be as honest as possible. All of this work and upgrades were completed in May and has less than 100 miles since completion (tires still show signs of the nipple, see pics). I originally built this intending on doing some family rides only to realize that it is not going to work with my family of 5. I will consider taking a trade on the right 4 door automatic JK 4x4 (must be worked before the auctions end). I bought the Rola Adventure Series Bumper Pack for the gear which I will include in the sale for an additional $300 unless "buy it now" is used and I will throw it in (check them out online, they are awesome and cost well over $600 new, which this one is). Do not hesitate to contact me for any questions or specific picture requests. You wont be disappointed. Thanks, Dane

Zombie cars roundup: Dodge has sold 3 new Vipers this year
Thu, Jan 6 2022Car models come and go, but as revealed by monthly sales data, once a car is discontinued, it doesn't just disappear instantly. And in the case of some models, vanishing into obscurity can be a slow, tedious process. That's the case with the 12 cars we have here. All of them have been discontinued, but car companies keep racking up "new" sales with them. There are actually more discontinued cars that are still registering new sales than what we decided to include here. We kept this list to the oldest or otherwise most interesting vehicles still being sold as new, including a supercar. We'll run the list in alphabetical order, starting with *drumroll* ... BMW 6 Series: 55 total sales BMW quietly removed the 6 Series from the U.S. market during the 2019 model year. It had been available in three configurations, a hardtop coupe, a convertible and a sleek four-door coupe-like shape. Â BMW i8: 18 total sales We've always had a soft spot for the BMW i8, despite the fact that it never quite fit into a particular category. It was sporty, but nowhere near as fast as similarly-priced competitors. It looked very high-tech and boasted a unique carbon fiber chassis design and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but wasn't really designed for maximum efficiency or maximum performance. Still, the in-betweener was very cool to look at and drive, and 18 buyers took one home over the course of 2021. Â Chevy Impala: 750 total sales The Impala represented classic American tastes at a time when American tastes were shifting away from soft-riding sedans with big interior room and trunk space and into higher-riding crossovers. A total of 750 sales were inked last year. Â Chrysler 200: 15 total sales The Chrysler 200 was actually a pretty nice sedan, with good looks and decent driving dynamics let down by a lack of roominess, particularly in the back seat. Of course, as we said regarding the Chevy Impala, the number of Americans in the market for sedans is rapidly winding down, and other automakers are following Chrysler's footsteps in canceling their slow-selling four-doors. Even if Chrysler never really found its footing in the ultra-competitive midsize sedan segment, apparently dealerships have a few leftover 2017 200s floating around. And for some reason, 15 buyers decided to sign the dotted line to take one of these aging sedans home last year.
FCA reportedly joins the crowd skipping this year's Paris Motor Show
Thu, Jun 14 2018It's likely FCA vehicles will not be seen at the Paris Motor Show this year. Automotive News is reporting that Fiats, Alfa Romeos, Jeeps and Abarths will not be a part at the show, based on information circulating in the French media. There's a possibility that Maseratis will be displayed at a special section dedicated to upscale cars, but Maserati too will not have a show stand of its own. Ferrari will have a stand, but as it happens, the supercar maker has been a standalone brand since 2015. Skipping the Paris show follows FCA's decision not to take part in the Frankfurt show last year, and the two shows alternate as the biggest autumnal automotive show in Europe. Volkswagen will also not attend the event, and neither will Ford, Nissan or Infiniti. This has become a problem for car shows worldwide, including Detroit's North American International Auto Show. FCA has not released a formal statement about the matter, but a FCA spokesman, quoted by the French magazine L'Argus, reportedly said that the sales and publicity brought in by the show stand would not justify the costs of attending. The news mirrors Volvo's newly announced plan to not take part at the next Geneva Motor Show, but to arrange "bespoke activities" to introduce its cars instead. Related Video:
