1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer SUV 4x4.

We bought this jeep from the estate of a lady who passed away this year at the age of 93. According to her family, she bought this jeep in 1995 and was the second owner. The jeep had approx. 25,000 miles on it when she bought it at the age of 72. She put 21000 miles on the jeep in the years that she had it. She last tagged the jeep about 5 yrs ago. She could no longer drive it and it sat for 5 yrs until her death. My husband bought the jeep for me but I need a later model vehicle so Im selling the jeep. I drive the jeep daily. Im going to describe the jeep from my point of view to the best of my ability. I will gladly send more pictures or answer any questions about the jeep.

Im told the engine is a 5.9 360 2 bbl carb. Im not impressed with the gas mileage. I was told I wouldn't be. The engine is strong and responsive. No smoke. Never was that Ive seen. I drove her on a 120 mile round trip last week and was pleasantly surprised on the highway. No pulling. I had to watch my speed as she easily climbed past 70. Very comfortable ride. I think she needs shocks. 4x4 works great.

There are three dents on the exterior as I tried to show in the pictures. A bit of surface rust that rubs off. 1 spot of rust under the drivers rear door, drainage problem im sure, None on the body of the jeep. I took a picture of it. Its small. She definitely needs paint. Windshield is perfect.

Interior is very good. I took pictures of the carpet and pedals to show the wear. Please ignore the dirt, Im driving her daily. Seats are great, front and back. The rear cargo shade is there and works good. The windows in the front work good, rear passenger window works, rear drivers side window goes down about an inch and back up easily, may be a problem with the rubber around it. Rear window motor does not work. Dash is good, gauges work. Radio works. Lights work good. Headliner sagging, needs replaced. Center overhead console is good.

Ive described the jeep to the best of my ability. I will gladly answer any questions or send more pictures on request. Thanks for looking.

Jeep teases pair of Moab concepts early

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

With the 47th annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari coming up at the end of this month, Jeep is preparing to roll out six new off-road-ready concept vehicles. The first two being teased are the Jeep Grand Cherokee "Trailhawk II" concept and the Jeep Wrangler "Slim," and while we have no information on either, we at least get an idea of what they'll look like.
We can't tell why this Wrangler is called Slim, but it has a nice black-and-red paint scheme with a serious off-roading front bumper and five-spoke beadlock wheels. There's even less we can figure out about the Grand Cherokee's Trailhawk II concept except that it appears to be painted up in the same Crusher Orange paint job as the recently introduced SRT Viper TA. We'll likely more of these as well as peeks at the other Moab concepts as we get closet to this year's Moab Easter Jeep Safari, which will be held March 23 through 31.

Chinese Jeep production confirmed with Fiat, Guangzhou agreement

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

Fiat has just finalized a deal originally set up in January between it and China's Guangzhou Automotive Group to bring Jeep production to China. It remains unclear which models will be built, although we're wagering that it'll be the 2014 Cherokee. What we do know, now, is where production will take place.
According to Automotive News, Guangzhou originally wanted production to take place in its home assembly plant in its namesake city. Fiat has battled to send production to a joint venture facility established between Guangzhou and Fiat in the town of Changsha. The joint facility won out, and now the factory, originally built in 2010 with a 140,000-unit capacity, will see Jeeps rolling out of it.
Currently, the GAC-Fiat factory produces the Fiat Viaggio, a jointly developed product that is closely related to America's Dodge Dart. And while it remains unclear as to which model will join the Viaggio on the assembly line, that model is understood to ride on Fiat's Compact platform. The only Jeep to share those underpinnings is the new Cherokee, so there's not much connecting of dots needed to see why this scenario would make sense.

Chrysler axes old V6s, goes all-Pentastar

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

Old technology has a way of lingering on, particularly at Chrysler headquarters in Auburn Hills. So while the Pentastar V6 has replaced the older engine architecture in just about every application, it still soldiered on in some export markets. But the introduction of a new 3.0-liter Pentastar V6, produced in Michigan and meant only for the Chinese market, has put the final nail in the old engine's coffin.
Fitted into the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler just introduced to China at the Chengdu Motor Show, the downsized six uses the same architecture as the larger 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. But because of its 2,997cc capacity, it can be exported to China without the increased duty the 3.6-liter or even 3.2-liter Pentastar engines would incur. The 3.0-liter V6 develops 230 horsepower at 6,350 rpm and 210 pound-feet at 4,400 rpm.
Admittedly, it's unlikely, but even though the engine was said to be created solely to undercut tax thresholds in China and Europe, the 3.0-liter Pentastar has recently surfaced in rumors of an application here: as the boosted heart of a potential Cherokee SRT with anywhere from 375 to 410 hp.
