This is a great looking Grand Wagoneer. No one spot of rust can be found. Engine runs well. I would not have any hesitation to drive this vehicle across country. The motor is not the original. The block was replaced and new components put in about 10k miles ago. Runs and pulls extremely well. It has been converted to a Holley EFI (fuel injection) and the A/C has been converted to R134. I recently replaced the alternator as well.

The only thing that is not operable is the rear window wiper. As you can see, I removed the wiper arm, but I still have it. Just have never messed with the wiper motor. I believe that I am the third owner of this Jeep. I bought it from a gentleman in Phoenix, AZ and drove it home to East Texas. He told me that he had bought it from the original owner in Tucson, AZ. This Jeep as been an AZ vehicle most of its life and the time that I have had it, it as lived in the garage. It is not my daily driver. I used it to take my boys to baseball practice and taking it to the lake on the weekends. Needing something with more cargo space.

Not pictured is another backseat that can be mounted in the cargo area to be used as a third row seat. I have never used it that was, as there is very little room for legs, but it is equipped with seatbelts for that. Also installed in the back is shoulder harnesses for the backseat. A very family friendly wagon.

NHTSA upgrading Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango headliner fire probe

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation into headliner fires experienced by a small number of Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango owners has been upgraded to an engineering analysis, the step before the initiation of a recall. In August last year the investigation began with 146,000 Grand Cherokees from 2012 after three complaints were received, but a report on Edmunds says it has been expanded to include 593,299 vehicles covering the 2011-2013 model years for the Jeep and the Dodge Durango, which uses the same headliner assembly, because of possibly 52 incidents of fire.
In some of those incidents drivers have reported a burning odor, smoke or open flames that were contained to the headliner or migrated to another area of the passenger compartment. The culprit has apparently been found: NHTSA blaming an electrical short in the sun visor vanity light wiring, which is routed under the headliner and held in place by three screws. Chrysler began its own probe into the issue when it was first reported and is still looking into the situation while, "fully supporting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's investigation."

Chrysler recalling 31k SUVs and vans

Chrysler is issuing recalls covering roughly 31,700 vehicles worldwide due to two separate problems. In both cases the company believes that most of the affected vehicles are either still on, or in transit to, dealer lots.
One recall covers roughly 10,700 Dodge Durango, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee SRT models from the 2014 model year built between January 16 and April 17, 2014. The SUVs need a software update for the cruise control. It's possible that when the cruise is on and the driver presses on the throttle, the acceleration could last a second after the pedal is released or two seconds for the SRT. Afterward, they return to the speed originally set by the driver.
Chrysler says it isn't aware of any accidents, injuries or even reported incidents of this happening in the real world. Also, in all cases, if the driver presses on the brake, the cruise shuts off. The automaker believes that there are about 6,100 affected SUVs in the US, 950 in Canada, 425 in Mexico and 3,200 outside of North America. The software upgrade will be ready shortly, the company says.
