1988 Grand Wagoneer

Unfortunately, a long distance move is forcing me to sell "Woodrow", my much loved Grand Wagoneer. I've just upgraded the distributor and with that project came a lot of other new pieces:

Upgraded to HEI electronic ignition

New HEI distributor

New timing cover

New timing chain

New 100 amp alternator

New camshaft gear

New distributor gear

New water pump

New belts

New hoses

New oil pump

In the last 2 years it has received new: brake lines, calipers, wheel cylinders, pads, shoes, tie rods, sway bar bushings and links.

The steering box has a slight leak. I have and new rebuild kit for it that is included.

The body and paint are in good shape. It has been repainted.

The floors are all solid. There is some bubbling starting along the bottom of the drivers side rocker panel. The metal is solid, but the paint is bubbling. There is also a nickel sized bubble on the tailgate just below the V8 badge.

It has a brand new JVC USB/Bluetooth radio. I love it, but it does not play cd's. I listen to it through my iphone. It you prefer a CD player I have a Blauplunkt unit I will swap with.

New Infinity 6.5" speakers in the doors and Pioneer 6x9's in the rear.

The interior is great with the exception of the rear carpet, which is deteriorated and in bad shape. I have the cargo liner back there so I didn't bother replacing it.

All of the power windows and locks work great. The rear window functions well from both the drivers switch and the rear key.

The only two things that don't currently work are the A/C and the cruise control. I have not yet looked into repairing them.

I have a nice extra rear window with a new track that is included. The one that is on right now is a bit scratched.

It does have a trailer hitch with working round 6 light plug.

The truck runs and drives great. I drive it up to Northern Michigan (4 hour drive) with no hesitation.

Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines

Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.
