1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Factory Sunroof, Lifted, New Tires on 2040-cars
Duluth, Georgia, United States
I get compliments everywhere I go. Runs and drives great, shifts through all the gears smoothly. Fuel gauge and all other gauges work, great oil pressure both at start up and after its warmed up. Newer paint job (good but not perfect), new 31" Goodyear Mud Terrain tires, New steering column, new power steering pump, CB radio with PA loud speaker, recent alignment, radio works, all new rear window (goes up and down great), never abused or treated poorly. The frame and body is solid with no rust other than the areas mentioned below. New 3 inch lift and shocks from Rough Country. It needs a few things but its a daily driver so you can work on it while you drive it. The light red color underneath is from the red Georgia clay, not rust. These are getting harder to find and restored they are worth a fortune! Fly in to ATL and pick it up and drive it anywhere.
Drivers side window and power seat don't work, outside handle for left rear door doesn't work (opens from the inside) A/C all there but the selector switch isn't working $20, (I tested it by jumper wire) Windshield has a crack, Needs mostly interior work but nothing major, Sunroof is sealed with silicone but can be made to work again, it just needs a gasket. Headliner needs to be redone, very little rust on passenger side rocker panel and a little on the fuel tank skid plate, frame is solid and this thing is straight, Nice solid Jeep. Clear GA title in hand. |

eBay Find of the Day: Jeep Comanche Zombie Response Unit
Sat, 02 Feb 2013We've seen some pretty fantastic apocalypse vehicles in our day. We've even owned one or two, but this particular Jeep Comanche tugs at our heart strings in all the right ways. Let's start with the basics: there's a stout 4.0-liter engine underhood hooked to a five-speed manual transmission, and while we wish this truck was four-wheel drive, the two-inch lift and oversize tires should help you overcome obstacles with enough momentum.
Details like handy shovels, Jerry cans and a brush guard inspired by the hardware on a CUCV help lend the truck a no-nonsense appeal, and the functional CB whip antenna means you can ask for backup when the undead hordes come your way. If you like what you see as much as we do, you can head over to eBay Motors to place a bid. The auction has inched up to $4,000 with just two days left on the clock.
Jeep dealer buries WWII Willys GP in showroom floor
Tue, 04 Nov 2014The Willys MB Jeep earned icon status during World War II thanks to its ruggedness, simplicity and go-anywhere ability. Following the war, it didn't take long for the handy vehicles to be scooped up by the public, and a brand slowly grew around the vehicles that has continued to thrive. Fast-forward to present day, where it's not uncommon for auto dealers to try to grab some of the magic of yesteryear by displaying classic models to connect customers with their brands' proud histories. Now, a Canadian Chrysler Group dealer is taking that notion to the extreme by actually making a vintage WWII Jeep part of its foundation.
Bay King Chrysler in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, recently completed its new showroom, and the franchise really wanted to show its dedication to the Jeep brand. As dealer principal Jamie Richter tells Autoblog, the inspiration for the Jeep installation came from his brother, who became fascinated with a home that had a glass floor looking down into its wine cellar. The company already had the 1943 Willys MB to display, but it had originally planned to build a jungle gym around it for customers' kids. Now, the classic is literally in the floor as customers enter. Richter tells Autoblog that customer reaction so far has been "fantastic."
It's certainly a novel way to bring people into the showroom, and seemingly a nice nod not only to Jeep, but to the men and women who served in the war. If you want to see more about how the Jeep was actually installed and what it looks like, check out this video.
First Jeepster prototype spotted with final, boxy form
Thu, 23 Jan 2014The long-awaited baby Jeep is getting closer to production, as evidenced by these spy photos. Previously, the only images of the so-called Jeepster saw it wearing a Fiat 500L body (see below), while this new batch of photos show hefty amounts of camouflage. How is that better? Well, it's very likely there's a production body hiding under all that cladding.
While picking out styling details is virtually impossible thanks to all the camo, as our spies point out, this gives us a very sound idea of the Jeepster's final size. It's small, although we'd argue that it's only slightly smaller than the current Jeep Patriot, based on the images of the newest Jeep sitting in front of an Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
As we reported previously, this little bambino will be built on a Fiat platform, but the styling should be uniquely Jeep - likely to include a somewhat vertical seven-slat grille and round headlights. We can expect to see a production Jeepster, if that ends up being the actual name (Latitude has been rumored, although as that's traditionally a trim level, we imagine there'd be some confusion), when it debuts at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
