1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 89,000 Miles, 4wd Runs And Drives Great, Nice Shape! on 2040-cars
Inverness, Florida, United States
This 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is in great shape for its year! This vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition, starts right up and drives great! Most everything on this vehicle is all original, and is in amazing condition for its age, this vehicle is reliable enough to be a daily driver and classic enough to be a head turner!
The engine and transmission appear to be all original and are in great working condition, carburetor has been reconditioned at some point and normal maintenance appears to have been performed. Transmission shifts smoothly with no fluid leaks, brakes all are in good working condition, 4WD works as it should, the AC system is also original and is nice and cold! The interior is in great shape for its age, driver seat shows some cracking, otherwise all the seats are in nice shape, carpet is original and in good condition, as is the rest of the interior. There is one spot in the rear cargo area that has some discoloration, otherwise its quite nice inside. Body is in good shape, no rust on the underside of the vehicle, there may have been some rust repair at some point as the paint on the roof is a different shade starting at about 1/3 of the way down the roof. It feels solid though and doesn't appear to have any existing problems. Paint shines very well, as you can tell the woodgrain decals need to be replaced, but its still a good looking vehicle. There are some areas that we know of that need attention. The power windows all work but the motors sound like they are really laboring hard to put the windows up and down, it seems that the guides for the windows need to be lubricated or maybe some window motors replaced. The power locks work, though sometimes the driver door actuator does not work. Also it seems that a lot of the weatherstripping should be replaced as it is dried out. Also the interior switch for the tail gate window does not work, but it does work from the key switch in the tail gate. I'm sure there are a few other small things that I've forgotten about but this vehicle is in great running and driving condition. If you have any questions please ask before bidding! Jeep rear-mounted fuel tank controversy
2014 Jeep Cherokee gets official in a hurry
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Automakers work very, very hard to keep their new vehicles under wraps until they can present them in exactly the way they want it - typically choreographed under the bright lights of an auto show, or perhaps with photos or video in an idyllic location. Spy shooters and leaks, in other words, keep executives and public-relations types up at night.
This is likely to be one of the most polarizing designs to come out in 2014.
Take today, for instance, when the team over at Jalopnik got a big scoop - the first undisguised shots of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, a model whose name wasn't even officially confirmed yet. The clandestine images taken inside of a factory were blurry and didn't exactly show off the crossover's radical new contours in the same sort of flattering light that Jeep probably would've wished for its product reveal. So the Auburn Hills automaker has wisely reacted by spilling at least some of the beans on the new model, giving us these four photos and confirming the Liberty replacement's name, Cherokee.
Stellantis and LG launch joint venture for North American battery plant
Mon, Oct 18 2021Stellantis has struck a preliminary deal with battery maker LG Energy Solution (LGES) to produce battery cells and modules for North America, as the world's No. 4 automaker rolls out its 30 billion euro ($35 billion) electrification plan. Global automakers are investing billions of euros to accelerate a transition to low-emission mobility and prepare for a progressive phase-out of internal combustion engines. Stellantis and LGES's joint venture will produce battery cells and modules at a new facility with an annual capacity of 40 gigawatt hours (GWh), the two firms said on Monday. No financial details of the deal were provided. The plant is scheduled to start production by the first quarter of 2024, with groundbreaking expected in the second quarter of 2022, the companies said in their statement. Its location is under review and will be announced later. Stellantis, formed in January from the merger of Italian-American automaker Fiat Chrysler and France's PSA, has said it wants to secure more than 130 GWh of global battery capacity by 2025 and more than 260 GWh by 2030. The batteries produced under the deal will supply Stellantis' U.S., Canadian and Mexican assembly plants for installation in hybrid and fully electric vehicles, supporting its goal of e-vehicles making up more than 40% of its U.S. sales by 2030. The company, whose brands include Peugeot, Fiat, Opel and U.S. best-sellers Jeep and Ram, earlier this year announced it would invest more than 30 billion euros through 2025 on electrifying its vehicle lineup. Stellantis has said it would build three battery plants in Europe and two in North America, including at least one in the United States. Intesa Sanpaolo analyst Monica Bosio said the deal was positive, and a further step ahead in Stellantis' electrification process. It comes weeks after Stellantis and its partner TotalEnergies agreed to open up their battery cell joint venture ACC to Daimler, to expand their European sourcing of battery cells. Stellantis is also targeting more than 70% of sales in Europe to be of low-emission vehicles by 2030, and aims to make the total cost of owning an EV equal to that of a gasoline-powered model by 2026.
