1981 Grand Jeep Wagoneer Limited 4x4 Automatic No Reserve!!!!! on 2040-cars
Howell, New Jersey, United States
This NO RESERVE auction is for a 1981 Jeep Limited Wagoneer that I purchased this past December with the intention of restoring it. It has been in my garage since purchased. This Wagoneer came from the West Coast and has no body or frame rust, except for the minor surface rust on the hood and roof. The odometer reads 49,850 but is not working (true miles unknown). This Jeep starts right up and runs strong. Transmission shifts as it should. Cosmetically there are some dents as shown in the pictures and the windshield has a major crack, interior is worn. Great project for someone who has the time and knowledge. A $500 deposit is due by Paypal within 72 hours of auction close.Balance do in cash within 7 days of auction end and which time vehicle is to be picked up. Transportation is the buyer's responsibility and vehicle is to be picked up in Howell, New Jersey. This Jeep is for sale locally and I will end this auction early if sold. Any questions or if you would like to come see it, please call Rob at 732-556-7156.

Jeep gunning for 1M sales this year
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Jeep CEO Mike Manley would rather soft-pedal the seven-figure prognostication for now, but Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne won't have it, proclaiming in an interview that Jeep will sell one million units worldwide this year. Manley has called that come-hither number "a stretch," the history of recent gains perhaps reason for his caution: in 2011 the brand sold 568,317 units, followed by the record-breaking tally of 701,626, then another record in 2013 with 731,565 units moved.
That kind of gap means everything will need to go magically for Jeep to record a 37-percent increase this year - amazing Cherokee sales, a brilliant launch for the little Jeep arriving in Europe later this year and a heavy wave to raise sales in US, European and Chinese markets. Manley is confident about the prospects in 2015, though, with the Cherokee in full stride, the Fiat-based Jeep on its way to the US and expanded global production. It's not as though Marchionne's prediction for Jeep's 2014 sales is unexpected, since he first made it last year. But even if the number ends up a little short for 2014, there's no doubt it will be impressive.
Chrysler recalls 468,700 Jeep Grand Cherokees, Commanders over rollaway risk
Mon, 13 May 2013Chrysler has issued a recall covering a combined 469,000 units of the 2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2006-2010 Jeep Commander (inset). Of that number, 295,000 are in the US, roughly 33,000 in Canada and Mexico and the remainder in other markets. It seems an electrical fault in the transfer case can allow the affected SUVs to shift into neutral on their own, while an Associated Press report says that Chrysler had "found cracks in a circuit board that turns the four-wheel-drive system on and off." The issue was discovered when an owner started his car remotely and it rolled away.
Chrysler is expected to begin notifying owners in June 2013, who can then take their cars to dealers. The dealer will reflash the final drive controller free of charge. There's a bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below with more information.
2014 Jeep Cherokee
Thu, 19 Sep 2013The Cherokee Is Dead. Long Live The Cherokee.
There are three sentences that, for this reviewer, define what needs to be conveyed about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The first: it is very good.
Jeep spent 27 years building the Cherokee and its brand, from 1974 to 2001. Twelve years ago, the Cherokee nameplate rolled away into the distant hills and retirement, at least here in the NAFTA colonies, and it was replaced by a loaded word we knew as "Liberty."
