Up for sale is a 1979 Jeep Wagoneer and these are the original miles 85,002, I am the 3rd owner with my brother being the second owner. This Jeep hadn't been driven for quite sometime according to my brother before he bought at an auction, he was buying for his son. My brother had a bit of work done on it and here's what he said he had done to it,
all new belts & hoses
master cylinder
fuel tank & pump
u joints front end
cv joints front end
front & rear brakes
So when my nephew didn't want it I thought I'd buy it, so then I fine out I need to do more work and here's what I've done.
u joints rear end
new spark plugs and wires
fresh oil change
carb kit/float/adapter gasket/carb kit overhaul performed
driveline kit with lsh(75-90)750,325
driveline kit (gl4) 75w80 792 325
Has new tires and now it runs good!
It does have an exhaust leak but not worried about fixing it right now mostly because I can't afford too. This jeep is all original as far as I know except for parts listed proally. The windshield which I tried to capture one of the places looking like maybe a bb shot and anyway there is 3 spots like that but doesn't effect the view. Oh the other thing not orginal is the ignition he switched out because of it being loose? The other things my brother didn't tell me is the back hatch door doesn't open, I've tried but afraid of breaking it and I can't afford to fix. I also had a key made to lock and unlock doors because when he put new ignition in the orginal keys disappeared, went to lock smith to have that key made for doors. This has the orginal radio/am/fm/cb and the mic for cb is there also, I tried to show in the one picture.
There is some rust spots and I can't tell you much about but it's not in too bad of shape for it's year, really there's no dents or anything like that even my insurance agent couldn't believe the shape it was in. It has tow bar thing in the back and my brother said the 4x4 works(I haven't tried). I can't afford the gas in it and plus I think someone that is a jeep lover should buy and fix it to show condition.
Please ask questions and I will try to answer but most everything is listed.
oh and part of the grill is missing and the only tear in seats is the drivers seat.
you can call my home phone number or text to 816-383-1961 and please no calls or text's after 10pm.
for some reason up towards the title listing it says light blue and something about 50k, that's false and I can't get it off of here.
Also will except best cash offers, don't low ball with everything done to it!
FORGOT TO SAY IT RUNS REALLY GOOD AFTER ALL THE WORK DONE TO IT AND I'M CURRENTLY DRIVING IT, JUST FILLED UP WITH GAS FOR THE SNOW!
READY TO WHEEL & DEAL MAKE ME A REASONABLE OFFER!

FCA recalls 1.1 million vehicles worldwide due to confusing shifter
Fri, Apr 22 2016Fiat Chrysler is recalling 1.1 million vehicles worldwide to address the problematic shifter used on cars with eight-speed automatic transmissions. The issue is that the console-mounted shifter acts like a rocker switch and always returns to the middle position after moved. This has been deemed confusing to drivers – confusing enough to cause some to exit their vehicles without first selecting Park and leading to the car rolling away. FCA says 41 injuries are related to the shifter problem, and no evidence of equipment failure has been found. The company will enhance warning chimes and alter the shift strategy, meaning alert messages will be displayed in case the driver door is opened while the engine is running. With the door open, the transmission will prevent the car from moving even if Park is not selected. The affected vehicles are certain model-year 2012–2014 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 sedans, as well as model-year 2014–2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs, an estimated 811,586 US vehicles in total. The recall also affects 52,144 vehicles in Canada, 16,805 in Mexico, and 248,667 vehicles elsewhere. The shifter is used with ZF-designed and ZF-built eight-speed automatic; Audi uses a similar shifter setup in some of its vehicles, including the current-generation, which predated Chrysler's use of it. Chrysler uses a different, a rotating-dial-type shifter on eight-speed-equipped Rams. The company moved away from the problem shifter design in 2015 for the Charger and 300, and the Grand Cherokee's shift lever was modified for 2016. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified of the recall when service is available. Fiat Chrysler urges customers to follow the instructions in the vehicle's owner's manual in the meantime. Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.
Toledo continues fight for Jeep Wrangler production, despite mayor's death
Thu, Feb 19 2015Where will the next-generation Jeep Wrangler be built? That's an open question, but it's one that the city of Toledo, OH desperately wants to be the answer to. The city suffered a major blow, though, with the death of Mayor Michael Collins earlier this month. Collins had been the city's biggest champion during talks with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, before suffering a fatal heart attack on Feb. 6. But Collins' tragic death isn't dampening the city's desire to carry on as the home of the Wrangler. "The mayor's passing is tragic. But on Monday, when I came to work, I knew exactly what I needed to do and exactly what needed to be done," the city's director of development, Matt Sapara, told the Detroit Free Press. According to the Freep, Sapara said Toledo and the state of Ohio have delivered an outline of a development plan that would give FCA the ability to buy an extra 100 acres to expand the factory. This is to help accommodate FCA's targeted output of 300,000 to 350,000 next-generation Wranglers, up from the 240,000 the factory can make now. "Our target in the proposal is to provide a way to increase the production capacity to a number that allows Fiat Chrysler to meet its business model," Sapara told the Freep, adding that the land could be available later this summer. FCA, meanwhile, has shown a somewhat ambivalent attitude towards Toledo production, with CEO Sergio Marchionne openly discussing the pros and cons of continuing to build the Wrangler south of the Michigan border. "We are going to take a very hard look at this without ignoring what these guys have done," Marchionne told the Free Press at last month's Detroit Auto Show, adding that he'd like to keep production there, provided the cost of retooling is comparable to relocating to another facility.
