1985 Jeep Cj7 Renegade Sport Utility 2-door 4wd With Chevrolet 305 V8 on 2040-cars
Hattiesburg, Mississippi, United States
This 1985 Jeep CJ7 Renegade has a Chevrolet 305 V8 with 55k miles. Jeep comes with soft top. It has a GM dress up engine kit including chrome air filter cover, timing belt cover, valve covers, and thermostat housing. It has new oil pan, oil filter relocation kit, timing belt, starter, rebuilt Chrysler 3 speed transmission, solid rear axles, fuel pump and sending unit, plugs and wires. It is a nice jeep but I would not recommend for daily driving. It is fun to ride around town and enjoy on the weekend. It has a 6in lift with Buckshot 35x12.50R15 tires and 15in polished aluminum hole shot rims. It has a Warn M8000 winch mounted on the front with black powder coated front and rear bumpers. It fires right up and runs great just needs a new home. It sits in my driveway more than it is driven. I have too many toys and a baby on the way. Its too nice of a jeep to just sit around. Its perfect for someone looking for a big toy and something to piddle with and have a good time. The paint and body work was done before I got the Jeep and it is very good condition. It is not show room condition but in overall very good shape.

2014 Jeep Cherokee
Thu, 19 Sep 2013The Cherokee Is Dead. Long Live The Cherokee.
There are three sentences that, for this reviewer, define what needs to be conveyed about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The first: it is very good.
Jeep spent 27 years building the Cherokee and its brand, from 1974 to 2001. Twelve years ago, the Cherokee nameplate rolled away into the distant hills and retirement, at least here in the NAFTA colonies, and it was replaced by a loaded word we knew as "Liberty."
Consumer Reports digs Mazda3, disses Jeep Cherokee
Tue, 11 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has just rendered its verdict on two of the more important cars to launch this year - the Mazda3 and the Jeep Cherokee. Considering the value a "Recommended" rating carries with the public and the viciously competitive markets these two cars compete in, Consumer Reports' view could have some impact on their initial success.
For Mazda, that's a good thing. CR spoke quite highly of the Zoom-Zoom brand's compact sedan and hatch, testing both models, and citing the excellent fuel economy and snickety-snack manual shifter as high points. Downsides to the 3 included a ride that is agile but "nervous," a bit too much noise and a cramped back seat. Still, the 3 was good enough to earn its place in the ranks of the "Recommended."
The Jeep didn't fare quite so well, with CR calling the polarizing CUV "half-baked." Although both engines were tested, the magazine called the 2.4-liter four-pot underpowered and its nine-speed automatic unrefined and unresponsive. That's particularly damning, considering the 9AT's role in future Chrysler products, including the extremely important 200. Overall, the Cherokee missed out on the coveted "Recommended" rating.
Jeep Grand Cherokee in headliner fire probe
Fri, 23 Aug 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching an investigation into 146,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs from the 2012 model year, The Detroit News reports. This comes as the result of the government safety agency receiving three complaints from owners who cited fires inside the Jeep's cabin.
According to the report, NHTSA says:
"The customers reported a burning odor and visible smoke coming from the headliner while the vehicle was being driven. This was followed by flames from the headliner itself. Customers lowered the windows in an effort to clear the smoke but this increased the fire's intensity. All three vehicles had to be extinguished with a fire extinguisher or by the fire department as they continued to burn after the vehicle was turned off."
