1980 Jeep Cj5 W/ Less Than 3k On New Inline 6 Motor on 2040-cars
Wichita, Kansas, United States
Clear Title. White Pearl paint. Engine (inline 6 cal) rebuilt with less than 3k miles. Diamond plate accents, Spray lining on the floor, new soft Best Top & also have bikini top. Custom rack comes with vehicle that attaches to rear custom air tank number and allows for more storage above spare tire. Great wheels and tires with less than 1k miles on them. New wiring harness. Seats are perfect. Also have a DVD showing all body work done from the previous owner. Wiring schematics and Haynes Repair Manual. Love this CJ5, but sits in storage too much and should be enjoyed.
Only a couple surface rust spots and have search for them to see. Pan is solid with no rust. Has new gas tank and new float but can't get gas gauge to work. Seems to be common problem with the CJ5/CJ7. |

2014 Jeep Cherokee
Thu, 19 Sep 2013The Cherokee Is Dead. Long Live The Cherokee.
There are three sentences that, for this reviewer, define what needs to be conveyed about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The first: it is very good.
Jeep spent 27 years building the Cherokee and its brand, from 1974 to 2001. Twelve years ago, the Cherokee nameplate rolled away into the distant hills and retirement, at least here in the NAFTA colonies, and it was replaced by a loaded word we knew as "Liberty."

2013 AEV Brute Double Cab
Fri, 11 Jan 2013These are the guys who bring an M777 howitzer to a knife fight. In terms of overall rugged utility, the all-new 2013 Brute Double Cab from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is about as overkill as they come, and we can't seem to get enough of the beasts that this company produces. Unlike most aftermarket firms, always striving to lower cost and increase volume (but at the expense of quality), Michigan-based AEV takes pride in its OEM-quality design, engineering, manufacturing and testing. Everything is as good, or better, than the stuff from the factory, and they have been doing it this way for more than 15 years.
Launched at the recent 2012 SEMA show was the 2013 AEV Brute Double Cab. Its debut marked the company's expansion to a four-door Brute on the newer JK platform (drawing inspiration from the Land Rover Defender 130). I recently spent a few hours with the new truck in sunny Southern California, though unfortunately, due to time constraints, I was limited to pavement-only driving impressions.
