1979 Jeep Cj5 Renegade on 2040-cars

US $2,800.00
Year:1979 Mileage:56000
Location:

I bought this car from New Hampshire with the intention of bringing it to CA work on it as an offroad jeep for my collectoin.   Unfortunately I started too many other projects before this one.  You or your transporter can pick the jeep up from the storage yard. The Jeep is located in New Hampshire.  It is being stored at Copart auto auction yard.  If you would like to see it in person or send an inspector to see the truck let me know and I will tell you how you can get access to it.  This Jeep comes with a bill of sale only because New Hampshire does not issue titles for cars this old.  You can easily get a title in your state with a bill of sale.   I have not seen this car in person and it is so far away that I am unable to take additional pictures.   The following is the previous owners listing for this jeep.

Up for sale is a 1979 CJ5 Jeep Renegade. It has 56000 original miles on factory 304V8 with a 4 speed transmission! The motor@transmission run like a top! 4 wheel drive works good. Has a full rollcage. Drives ok. Needs to be restored. Tub and frame need work. Comes with hardtop and hard doors with glass and new bikini top. It has a new exhaust system and sending unit. I also have two front rims that match back ones. Would make a nice project for someone that has the time.

If you have any questions feel free to ask or leave your phone number and I will get in touch with you.

Chrysler investigating complaints of vehicles with faulty power modules

Sun, 24 Aug 2014

Chrysler owners are hopping mad after experiencing a series of electrical gremlins in some of the company's vehicles. Issues range from mere annoyances - windows rolling down and radios turning off of their own accord - to serious safety issues, with headlights that randomly shut off at night and cars that stall and refuse to start.
The issues are being blamed on the total integrated power module, which can cost up to $1,000 for customers to replace. This, of course, has led to a hefty batch of complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with 240 owners expressing their displeasure so far. Another site, CarComplaints.com, has registered over 300 complaints relating to the 2010 to 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango, alone, according to The New York Times.
Chrysler has acknowledged that it's investigating the complaints and is analyzing the faulty TIPMs, but that isn't quite enough for customers of the affected vehicles. The newspaper has snagged a few of the more harrowing tales with the electrically challenged Chrysler products, culled from the NHTSA complaints.

Refreshed Chrysler 300 SRT won't be sold in NA

Mon, 20 Oct 2014

It looks like it might be time to bid farewell to the V8 rumble from the Chrysler 300 SRT - at least if you live in North America. The reported change comes as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles reshuffles its ranks with the Dodge brand, re-absorbing SRT and building its muscular reputation with the Challenger and Charger Hellcat models. Meanwhile, Chrysler is taking a more mainstream approach, and that likely means the end of overt high-performance models from the division for now.
According to Automotive News, the 300 SRT will be discontinued in the US for 2015, but it won't be totally dead. Some right-hand drive markets will still get the brawny V8 sedan next year, a distinction that goes a long way toward explaining some spy shots we've seen recently.
The 300 SRT's North American demise probably shouldn't come as a total shock. In FCA's five-year plan, it says that the 300 is destined for a refresh to be unveiled later this year, presumably at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. There's no mention of the SRT model in the document, though, which seems to signal its end.

Jeep gives Cherokee its yin and yang with Sageland and Urbane concepts

Sat, 19 Apr 2014

Among the design concepts Jeep has prepared for Beijing Motor Show this year are a pair of Cherokees dressed up in contrasting schemes.
In one corner we have the Sageland concept pictured above, drawing its inspiration from Shangri-La with an Ivory Peal tri-coat and bronze trim for the grille, fascia appliqués, roof rack, sunroof, mirror caps and exhaust tips. Inside it's all earth tones with light gray Nappa leather seats and red and blue top-stitching inspired by traditional Chinese themes.
Meanwhile the Urbane concept (pictured right) takes the Cherokee in a different direction with steel blue metallic paintjob and black accents. Inside it adopts the theme of Chinese calligraphy with Piano Black accepts and dark red Nappa leather.
