1978 Jeep Cj7 Renegade Sport Utility 2-door 5.0l on 2040-cars
Rossville, Georgia, United States
I have a 1978 Jeep CJ7 for sale. It has a V8 304HP AMC engine. The transmission has been swapped over to an automatic! In 2005, we did a complete frame off restoration. This Jeep has been in car shows; real head turner!!! Over the last couple years we have had to use it on our farm, that's the only reason it's not in perfect condition right now. This jeep has a custom paint job. It is the Chevy Corvette Blue. The engine has been painted the same color. It has 35'' Discoverer tires with 15'' chrome wheels. It has the LEVI edition seats. The front seats are lowback, and the back is the traditional seat. It comes with a matching tan console that is not installed at this time. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2005 and we have only put 15000 miles on it since then. This jeep has been kept in a garage and/or under a lean to covered. Clear title in hand!!! The pictures show it's current condition. The most current picture is the one with the tractor parked behind it. It has a tan top that I took off a couple years ago. I only take it out when its sunny and pretty, so no need in a top I still have the top and it will come with it. Also have the doors I have two LG bins of spare parts that were replaced with brand new parts back in 2005. I have the spare tire carrier that hasn't been mounted on the back. Jeep is in great driving condition and could leave my property the day you show up. I cranked it about 4 weeks ago and it needed very small tuning. The Jeep was idling a tad slow, from where I had been messing with it. I broke the ignition switch and got a little crazy with parts and started replacing items that were still good. I replaced the key switch, the electrical ignition, the solenoid and some wires. I personally would trailer it if I was buying it. It only get around 10-12 a gallon ALSO::: it has the original dash that is painted the same blue. In MINT condition. Has been stored ever since it was painted. The current dash in it is diamond plate. Extremely NICE!! Has Chrome stepsides! There is minor items that need to be replaced or fixed on jeep for cosmetics/show quality. Please read the condition section for a list of all items. Most of which are petty and do not affect appearance or functionality! The chrome spotlights on the hood are no longer on the jeep!
I could go on and on about the things that are great about this jeep, If you need to know more, please contact me before bidding. JEEP DOES NOT HAVE A WARRANTY. I WILL OFFER A 3 DAY GRACE PERIOD FROM TIME OF PICKUP FOR A FULL REFUND, LESS THE DEPOSIT IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED. PLEASE COME LOOK AT JEEP IF YOU WANT TO!!! 500.00 DEPOSIT IS DUE AT CLOSE OF AUCTION. FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 7 BUSINESS DAYS OF END OF AUCTION. PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR ARRANGEMETS ON PICKING UP THE VEHICLE AND PAYMENT. I DO NOT OFFER ANY SHIPPING, ONLY LOCAL PICKUP, OR YOU HIRE A SHIPPING COMPANY.

2014 Jeep Cherokee: June 2014
Wed, 09 Jul 2014I got a text message from Editor-In-Chief Sharon Carty one afternoon proclaiming that her new favorite SUV is our long-term 2014 Jeep Cherokee. And she's not alone. I'm not sure if anyone else on staff would go so far as to use the "favorite" descriptor, but after just over a month of honeymooning with our new long-termer, it's safe to say that the Jeep is quickly finding its way into the good graces of a number of Autoblog staffers.
There's good reason for all that praise, too. Thus far, the Jeep has proven itself to be incredibly competent and comfortable for daily life - it's functional, quiet, and packed with a host of amenities that make it easy to live with. It's been wholly trouble-free (with less than 4,000 miles on the clock as of this writing, it ought to be), but even nitpicks have been few and far between.
FCA facing class-action lawsuit over Grand Cherokee shifters
Fri, Jun 24 2016Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is now facing a multi-million-dollar class-action lawsuit over the recalled shifter design in the 2014 and 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the 2012 to 2014 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300. Grand Cherokee owners, galvanized by Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin's fatal accident, filed the suit. According to The Wall Street Journal, the owners allege that FCA concealed the shifter's problems. On top of restitution, the class action suit is demanding a court order force FCA to issue a do-not-drive warning to owners of affected vehicles until it fixes the problem. FCA started distributing a software fix to dealers last week – according to the WSJ, the update will add more warnings about the shifter's position and will automatically kick the vehicle into park if the driver steps out. FCA's shifter problems have been bubbling under the surface as part of the company's recall issues. The US government dinged FCA with a $105 million fine last year for its recall practices (or lack thereof) last year, but things have exploded this week after Yelchin's death. The 27-year-old, best known for playing Ensign Pavel Chekov in the rebooted Star Trek film series, was killed after his 2015 Grand Cherokee rolled down his driveway and pinned the actor against a security gate. According to Jeep CEO Mike Manley, the company will dispatch engineers to analyze Yelchin's vehicle. Related Video:
2013 AEV Brute Double Cab
Fri, 11 Jan 2013These are the guys who bring an M777 howitzer to a knife fight. In terms of overall rugged utility, the all-new 2013 Brute Double Cab from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is about as overkill as they come, and we can't seem to get enough of the beasts that this company produces. Unlike most aftermarket firms, always striving to lower cost and increase volume (but at the expense of quality), Michigan-based AEV takes pride in its OEM-quality design, engineering, manufacturing and testing. Everything is as good, or better, than the stuff from the factory, and they have been doing it this way for more than 15 years.
Launched at the recent 2012 SEMA show was the 2013 AEV Brute Double Cab. Its debut marked the company's expansion to a four-door Brute on the newer JK platform (drawing inspiration from the Land Rover Defender 130). I recently spent a few hours with the new truck in sunny Southern California, though unfortunately, due to time constraints, I was limited to pavement-only driving impressions.
