Purchased for spouse, she like looks, power, room & ride; but hates gas mileage, fancy shifter, phone, navigation, windows & about everything else. Dealer would have to charge us $2,000 more than allowed on trade in to get trade in back and would refund $6,000 less than we paid for vehicle, that's an $8,000 hit; local dealer would sell for 15% comm., we consider high, so we are attempting to sell on ebay and recoup some of our investment. She has been used to a couple of Fusions, guess this was too much of a step up, I have to do what I gotta do. Vehicle is the same as when it came off the new car lot except it has 787 miles rather than 18, it was driven central WI and back home, that's it. VIN will allow you to look up specs and I have included many pictures. Hoping to sell to someone fairly close by for ease of paperwork, all basic warranties still apply."

No dings or problems, just as it was on the new car lot one week ago, except for having 787 miles on it rather than 18; sunlight may have blurred some of the pics but I will gladly take more if requested.  I am reserving the right to end this auction without further notice if vehicle is sold locally, other than due to this listing.  The vehicle MSRP (sticker) is $44,360, plus I added custom molded mud guards $150, side chrome strip $195, nitro $35, navigation upgrade $595 and chrome running boards $757.  Am hoping to sell this Jeep for around $40,000.  The factory warranty is full to any buyer with the exception of the 787 miles, I chose the lifetime MOPAR and have not as yet called to see if any of this is can be transferred, it read that the others are transferable but not sure of the lifetime, suppose we will ask for refund then a buyer can buy from MOPAR or other vendors if they so choose, our lifetime cost $2,175; of course the buyer has the 3 yr & 5 yr. warranties.  Lots on this Limited Grand Cherokee, too much to list and am pretty sure you can just google the vin and see for yourself.  Will answer any and all questions via email and later by phone to sincerely interested buyers, we are in and out, thus we apologize if answers may not always be timely.  We have ability to fax as well.  All booklets, manuals and window sticker are available and just as they were when on the new car lot last week. Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:

Jeep Renegade recalled to prevent hacking

Fri, Sep 4 2015

Jeep is issuing a voluntary recall of some 7,800 Renegades over fears that their radios may be vulnerable to hacking. The company is quick to stress that this campaign is independent of the hacking scare earlier this year. Only Renegades fitted with the 6.5-inch touchscreen display are affected by the recall. Owners of the affected vehicles will be mailed a USB jump drive that they can plug into their vehicle for a free software update. Alternatively, owners can head over to the UConnect website, enter their VIN, and download the software to their own jump drive. (See how in our video below.) Dealers will also perform the upgrade free of charge. The software update provides "additional security features," that should prevent remote tampering. If this sounds worrying, it's actually not that huge of a problem. First, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles estimates that over half the affected vehicles are still sitting on dealer lots. More importantly, according to FCA, the vulnerability on the Renegade "required unique and extensive technical knowledge, prolonged physical access to a subject vehicle and extended periods of time to write code," making it considerably different than the Cherokee problem. No injuries or hacks have been reported by any Renegade owner. Related Video: Statement: Software Update September 4, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is conducting a voluntary safety recall to update software in approximately 7,810 U.S.-market SUVs equipped with certain radios. More than half remain in dealer hands and will be serviced before they are sold. The campaign – which involves radios that differ from those implicated in another, similar recall – is designed to protect connected vehicles from remote manipulation. If unauthorized, such interference constitutes a criminal act. FCA US has already applied measures to prevent the type of vehicle manipulation demonstrated in a recent media report. These measures – which required no customer or dealer actions – block remote access to certain vehicle systems. The Company is unaware of any injuries related to software exploitation, nor is it aware of any related complaints, warranty claims or accidents – independent of the media demonstration. Affected are certain 2015 Jeep Renegade SUVs equipped with 6.5-inch touchscreens. Customers will receive a USB device which they may use to upgrade vehicle software. This provides additional security features.

Stellantis suspends vehicle production in Russia

Tue, Apr 19 2022

MILAN - Stellantis on Tuesday said it was suspending production at its Russian plant due to logistical difficulties and sanctions imposed on Moscow. The world's fourth-largest automaker, which produced and sold the Peugeot, Citro¸n, Opel, Jeep, and Fiat brands in Russia, has just 1% of the country's car market. It runs a van-making plant in Kaluga, around 125 miles (201 kilometres) southeast of Moscow, co-owned with Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi, which halted production at the facility earlier this month. "Given the rapid daily increase in cross sanctions and logistical difficulties, Stellantis has suspended its manufacturing operations in Kaluga to ensure full compliance with all cross sanctions and to protect its employees," Stellantis said in a statement. The plant employs 2,700 people. The company will continue to pay salaries through a local downtime scheme and by using anticipated vacation periods, Stellantis told Reuters. It said it did not know how long the stoppage would last, adding that its priority was its staff and the return of peace. Stellantis had already suspended all exports and imports of vehicles with Russia, following Moscow's invasion of Ukraine, moving production to western Europe. It had also said it was freezing plans for more investments in the country. Van production in Kaluga had remained just for the local market. Scores of foreign companies have announced temporary shutdowns of stores and factories in Russia or said they were leaving the country for good since Russia began what it calls "a special military operation" in Ukraine on Feb. 24. Stellantis Chief Executive Carlos Tavares in late March said the group would have to close the Kaluga plant shortly as it was running out of parts. Separately on Tuesday, General Motors Co said it was extending its suspension of business in Russia due to the conflict and international sanctions. The U.S. automaker, which initially suspended imports into Russia and commercial activity on Feb. 28, said it was laying off most of its 66 employees and providing them with separation packages. GM does not have plants in Russia and only sold about 3,000 vehicles annually there prior to the suspension.
