For sale - my 2010 Jeep SRT 8.  Black metallic (pearl really if you see it in sunlight).

just under 33000 miles.  always garaged.  never raced.  no burnouts.  But I can tell you it is ridiculously fast and fun to drive.
maintained by me personally, a car enthusiast.  Oil changed with mobil 1 synthetic every 3000 miles.
transfer case fluid changed with proper synthetic Mopar fluid at 15000 and 30000 miles.
waxed once every 2 months.  wheels waxed as well each time.  engine bay cleaned with each washing.  exhaust outlets polished with every wash.
Probably the best maintained Jeep SRT out there.  No damage, never been in for service to the dealership.  I am original owner.  I have original window sticker.
I included pics of the front and rear tires, to give you an idea of the wear - fronts have 3/16" of tread (nowhere near the wear bars - plenty of miles left), rears have more like 1/4".  when brand new, the tires only have 11/32" of tread depth, so lots of tire left.  brake pads have lots of material.  runs and drives perfectly.
Interior spotless.  no stains.  carpet perfect because I use rubber floor mats on top of the originals.
The only defect is a crack in the bottom of the rear valence.  you wont see it unless I show it to you.  Some jerk backed into me in a parking lot and cracked it.  on the picture of the rear of the car, you can't see it.

options - SRT group 1 and 2.  heated front and rear seats, subwoofer, sunroof, split folding rear seat, navigation stereo upgrade, lots of other options in that package. Back up camera and parking sensors....  Only option it is missing is rear DVD player.

Based on internet resale websites, price for the car for a private sale should be $37,000.

pay cash when you see the car.  no deposit required.  you will not be disappointed.  car is about 15 miles north of New York City.

Updated 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee ace same controversial moose test it failed in 2012 [w/video]

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

Some background: one of the more scandalous international incidents of he-said/he-said from 2012 was when Swedish magazine Teknikens Varld put the Jeep Grand Cherokee through its "moose (or elk) test" and reported that the SUV nearly rolled over. That lead to a whole lot of accusations and rebuttals: more than one website and Chrysler's own blog reported that the Jeep was overloaded; Chrysler said Teknikens printed the magazine then let Chrysler respond, Teknikens answered all of the charges in a lengthy post and said Chrysler was given a chance to comment before it went to print; when Chrysler sent investigators to oversee the test and the Jeep didn't go up on two wheels as it did in the first test, furthermore all four wheels stayed on the ground when Auto Motor und Sport tested a Grand Cherokee in the same way.
Teknikens then re-ran the test with a new vehicle and said it's been doing this test since the 1970s, uses the loading information that Chrysler provides to the Swedish motor authority and the previous Grand Cherokee passed with no problem. In the second test, the Jeep failed again, then it gave Chrysler engineers access to the car's electronics and ran the test again. In that second round the Grand Cherokee didn't repeat the lurid two-wheel action, but in eleven runs it blew out front left tire seven times. Chrysler still objects to the results of all of those tests and maintains that vehicle was safe.
The 2014 Grand Cherokee was given its shot at the gauntlet in the latest round of moose tests, and Teknikens Varld reports that it passed without any problem at all, its stability control working perfectly, controlling motion at low speeds and all the way up to 44.1 miles per hour. You can watch the video of the new test and read the press release from the magazine on the updated Grand Cherokee below.

New England Patriots player helps driver of rollover crash

Tue, Jan 20 2015

Winning the AFC Championship game to guarantee a spot in the Super Bowl would be a pretty major accomplishment for most people in a day. However, just hours after the victory, New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork showed what he could do off the field, when he helped save a woman from an overturned car. Though, the player remained modest about what happened. Wilfork and his wife were driving home late at night when they spotted a flipped Jeep near Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. Surveillance video showed Wilfork pulling over and running to the vehicle's aid to be among the first on the scene. Finding a woman trapped inside, Wilfork told her, "Don't panic," and according to Massachusetts State Police, the 325-pound player simply reached his arm into the vehicle and lifted the woman out to save her. She was later charged with driving under the influence. Hear Wilfork's description of what happened in the video above.
