Just got it. Crashed my other car. Need money now. End of story.  This Jeep is ridiculously gorgeous.  It has every option. 5.7 Hemi with multi-displacement which means when it's cruising on the highway, it shuts down 4 cylinders to save gas. 335 Horsepower and 375 ft pounds of torque!  It has the Jeep factory Alpine Navigation radio with 6 disc changer, mp3 player and built in Sirius Satellite Radio. Factory DVD Player, stability control, handsfree bluetooth calling, sunroof, power seats, heated seats, leather seats, adjustable foot pedals, tow package and an awesome backup sensor. It beeps faster as you get closer to an object and it has LED light that blink red when you need to stop.  It is in near perfect condition. Auto Check says it had accidents.  The only evidence of any accident is a very small crack at the bottom of the left back bumper.  The rest of the Jeep is truly near mint both cosmetically and mechanically. Just come see for yourself.  Feel free to have a mechanic check it out.  The tires have about 90-95% tread left. Rain sensing wipers which go faster the harder it rains. Chrome rims. There is an open recall on it for a software update to the final drive controller. That is all it needs. I am getting it done this week.  This is the nicest one and best deal on Ebay or anywhere else.  You can take advantage of my situation. This is how people get good deals.  If you come see it and drive it, you will buy it, guaranteed.

I'll post more pictures as soon as I can take more, probably by Friday night. Call me if you have any questions. 908-757-1200.

Chrysler nets $1.6B income in Q4, Fiat profit up 5%

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

Chrysler announced its 2013 financial results today and unveiled its new name and decidedly bank-like logo. Amid the announcement, Chrysler posted big gains in income, while Fiat didn't perform to analysts' expectations.
For 2013, Chrysler had revenue of $72.1 billion, up 10 percent from 2012. Net income reached $2.8 billion, a 65-percent increase. It was the company's third straight year of annual profits.
In terms of unit sales, Chrysler sold 2.4 million cars worldwide in 2013, up 9 percent. According to Automotive News, 1.8 million of those vehicles were sold in the US, a 14-percent increase. The sales growth boosted Chrysler's US market share to 11.4 percent, up 0.2 percent.

Watch this Jeep Willys return to its birthplace after 70 years

Sun, 23 Jun 2013

Earlier this month, a very significant Jeep was celebrated at the Toledo North Assembly plant. No, it wasn't the upcoming reincarnation of the Jeep Cherokee, but instead it was a 1943 Willys MB that visited the Toledo grounds where it had been built exactly 70 years ago to the day.
Of course, the actual building where the MBs rolled off the assembly line before heading to Europe for World War II no longer exists, but that didn't stop Italian owner Vittorio Argento from having the vehicle shipped to the US to make its trek back to its birth place. According to Chrysler, Argento's MB is still 95-percent original and it drove 1,000 miles from New Jersey to Toledo.
The whole adventure was chronicled on a blog aptly named A Jeep Comes Home. Scroll down for a brief video from Chrysler and for some photos of the Toledo visit and be sure to read more at Argento's blog.

Feds fretting over remote hack of Jeep Cherokee

Fri, Jul 24 2015

A cyber-security gap that allowed for the remote hacking of a Jeep Cherokee has federal officials concerned. An associate administrator with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Thursday that news of the breach conducted by researchers Chris Valasek and Charlie Miller had "floated around the entire federal government." "The Homeland Security folks sent out broadcasts that, 'Here's an issue that needs to be addressed,'" said Nathaniel Beuse, an associate administrator with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Valasek and Miller commandeered remote control of the Cherokee through a security flaw in the cellular connection to the car's Uconnect infotainment system. From his Pittsburgh home, Valasek manipulated critical safety inputs, such as transmission function, on Miller's Jeep as he drove along a highway near St. Louis, MO. The scope of the remote breach is believed to be the first of its kind. The prominent cyber-security researchers needed no prior access to the vehicle to perform the hack, and the scope of the remote breach is believed to be the first of its kind. A NHTSA spokesperson said the agency's cyber-security staff members are "putting their expertise to work assessing this threat and the response, and we will take action if we determine it's necessary to protect safety." A Homeland Security spokesperson referred questions about the hack to Chrysler. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has already been the subject of a federal hearing this month, in which officials scrutinized whether the company had adequately fixed recalled vehicles and repeatedly failed to notify the government about defects. But cyber-security concerns are a new and different species for the regulatory agency. Only hours before the Jeep hack was announced by Wired magazine earlier this week, NHTSA administrator Dr. Mark Rosekind said hacking vulnerabilities were a threat to privacy, safety, and the public's trust with new connected and autonomous technologies that allow vehicles to communicate. NHTSA outlined its response to the cyber-security challenges facing the industry in a report issued Tuesday. In it, the agency summarized its best practices for thwarting attacks and said it will analyze possible real-time infiltration responses. But the agency's ability to handle hackers may only go so far.
