This was the top of the line Jeep in 2004. I am the original owner... I bought the car new in 2004. I have meticulously cared for the car, and it is in excellent condition for it's age and mileage. Factory Equipment: (all options except GPS nav) - 4.7L H.O. Power Tech V8 engine - Preferred Package - Lux Leather Trimmed Two Tone Seats - Tire Pressure Monitoring Display - Power Adjustable Pedals w/ Memory - Engine Block Heater - Adjustable Roof Rail Crossbars - Trailer Tow Group IV Performance Upgrades: - K&N FIPK: This cold air intake increases horsepower, torque, and fuel efficiency. It also sounds quite nice. - Exhaust: 3" exhaust pipe downstream of the "Y" pipe collector, Flowmaster 70 series muffler, 3" mandrel bent tail pipe, stainless tip. The cats are still in place and have not been changed. No problems passing emissions testing. - PCM flash: This is a Mopar flash that re-maps the air/fuel curves, removes the 118 mph electronic speed governor, and increases the shift point by approx. 200 RPM. This Jeep has the High Output version of the 4.7L V8. The above performance modifications have resulted in a very noticeable gain in horsepower and torque. Passing and towing are a pleasure in this Jeep. The exhaust and intake modifications have significantly increased the sound. The exhaust is throaty and loud. Please be aware of this.
Exterior Upgrades: - HID headlight conversion: This is a custom HID conversion. The HID lamps are mounted in projected housings. The ballasts are mounted behind the headlight housings. - Stainless trailer ball mount: Also included is an adjustable trailer ball with 1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16" balls.
Interior Upgrades: - Stainless entry guards: they say "Grand Cherokee" - All weather floor mats: These are rubber and catch snow or mud off your shoes. Very nice!! - Fitted Sunshade: This is a custom sunshade for the Jeep.
Stereo Upgrades: - Clarion head unit with iPod cable. - Image Dynamics speaker system including component woofers and tweeters in front, coaxial rear speakers, and a 12” subwoofer mounted in a sealed box. The box is in the cargo area, and is covered in black carpet to match the interior. The speakers are powered by 2 JL Audio amps that are mounted under the rear seats. Very clean install. This system provides clean, crisp audio with high definition bass. Condition: - The Jeep is located in Denver, CO and is available for inspection. - After the initial break-in I've always run Mobil 1 full synthetic motor oil and have changed at 5000 mile intervals. - The interior is in excellent condition. There have never been any pets in the vehicle. I don't have kids. There are no stains and I've always kept the leather conditioned. - Normal wear and tear on the paint.
- Known issues: The passenger side front window switch does not work. The passenger window can be operated from the driver side window switches. There are a couple of small cracks in the leather on the driver side arm rest (on the door). The Jeep is offered "as is" with no warranty. |

We drive the cars of Furious 7... in Forza Horizon 2 [w/video]
Thu, Apr 9 2015On March 27, Turn 10 Studios, the folks behind the Forza Motorsport series, and Universal Pictures, the studio responsible for the Fast and Furious franchise, gave us a match made in heaven, announcing a "standalone expansion" featuring the two franchises. Called Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious, it features the cars from the latest film installment, unique missions and the voice-acting of Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, who plays tech guru Tej Parker on camera. A Fast and Furious video game? Seems like a no brainer. It gets better. Rather than limiting the Fast and Furious Edition cars to the expansion game, Turn 10 made them available through one of their (some may say notorious) downloadable content packages. Eight of the expansion's 11 cars were made available for just $4.99 (the only cars that weren't included were the Fast and Furious Edition Nissan GT-R, while the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and McLaren P1 are already available in-game). What's cool ais that the cars featured in both games are visually identical to the vehicles driven by the stars of Furious 7. Each in-game car has an on-screen parallel that plays a role in advancing the film's story. Considering that we're unlikely to score seat time in Dominic Toretto's real Dodge Charger, then, we figured we'd take to the game and test the car in the digital realm. We've got nine little cluster reviews, covering the cars both in the game and how they appear in the movies. And don't worry, there are no major spoilers here. Click on for the cars of Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious. 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Fast and Furious Edition Supercharged 7.2L V8 / 900 HP / 663 LB-FT The one vehicle that is mandatory in a Fast and Furious video game, Dom's hot-rodded 1970 Dodge Charger, is as much a character in the films as its driver. Furious 7 marks the fourth appearance of this Mopar beast in the series. Not surprisingly it's a handful to drive, wildly quick and with a four-speed transmission packed full of very tall gears. But beyond that, it's arguably the coolest of the FF Edition cars. This black beauty is exactly as it appears in the latest installment of the film, with the video game version featuring intricate little details, like the moving parts on the BDS supercharger. It's an iconic car, and it's treated as such in the game.
FCA recalls 894k total vehicles worldwide in two campaigns
Fri, Oct 30 2015FCA is recalling a total of 893,698 vehicles worldwide in two campaigns to fix problems with inadvertent airbag deployment, failure of the anti-lock brakes, and stability control systems in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Dodge Journey, and Fiat Freemont. 559,703 of these vehicles are in the US. The larger recall affects 284,089 examples of the 2003 Jeep Liberty and 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and there are also 13,411 of them in Canada, 6,277 in Mexico, and 48,212 outside the NAFTA region. Because of "electrical noise beyond the tolerance of the airbag electronic control module", part of that component can fail, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This can cause the front and side airbags to deploy and the seatbelt pre-tensioners to activate inadvertently. FCA US has seven reports of alleged injuries from this problem. To fix the situation, the Jeeps need their Occupant Restraint Control modules replaced, as well as the front- and side-impact sensors. According to the NHTSA, the replacement parts won't be available until early 2016. Still, FCA US will advise owners about the problem in a letter by the end of December and will send a second notification when the components are ready. The second campaign affects 275,614 examples of the 2012-2015 Dodge Journey in the US; plus 78,148 of them in Canada, 36,471 in Mexico, and 151,476 left-hand drive units outside of NAFTA where it's sold as the Fiat Freemont. On these vehicles, water intrusion can disable the anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control, although a warning light often illuminates when this issue occurs, and the problem doesn't affect regular braking. There are also no reports of injuries or accidents. To fix the issue, dealers will seal the ABS wiring harness and will replace any already affected components as necessary, like the ABS module or the headlamp and dashboard wiring harness. Statement: Occupant Restraint Control Modules October 30, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is voluntarily recalling an estimated 284,089 older-model SUVs in the U.S. to replace their Occupant Restraint Control (ORC) modules and front and/or side-impact sensors, as required. Within this vehicle population, FCA US became aware of seven injuries caused by inadvertent air-bag deployments and advised NHTSA accordingly. The affected vehicles are not equipped with Takata Corp. air-bags. The Company is unaware of any related accidents.
Chrysler defies NHTSA, says it won't recall 2.7M Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty models
Wed, 05 Jun 2013Facing a possible recall totaling around 2.7 million of its most popular SUVs, Chrysler remains insistent that the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty are safe vehicles. This comes on the heels of a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for these two models due to fuel tanks mounted behind the rear axle, which could possibly be ruptured during severe rear-end collisions, leading to an increased risk of fire. In response to the allegations, Chrysler says that it does not agree with NHTSA nor does it plan on recalling either vehicle.
Chrysler said both SUVs "met and exceeded" the requirements for fuel-system integrity, and cooperated fully with NHTSA since the investigation was opened in 2010. While 15 deaths and 46 injuries have been reported from fires caused by rear-end collisions on these models, Chrysler is claiming that the vast majority of incidents cited by NHTSA were "high-energy crashes," including one where a stopped Grand Cherokee was rear-ended by a tractor trailer going 65 miles per hour.
The automaker wraps up by saying "NHTSA seems to be holding Chrysler Group to a new standard for fuel tank integrity that does not exist now and did not exist when the Jeep vehicles were manufactured." Scroll down for Chrysler's official response to NHTSA, but we're pretty sure this isn't the last we've heard on this issue.
