I purchased this 2004 Jeep Cherokee before winter for a dependable AWD vehicle and it was just that. The miles are high I know but it has given me no problems and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it any where. The vehicle was purchased at 66,xxx miles by an employee from the dealership and was used at the dealership for transferring golf carts from dealership to dealership. All maintence has been well taken care of. Right before I purchased it a brand new brake booster was put in. Since then I have replaced the brake pads and rotors, installed a new muffler, put a 2" lift on it, the driver's side had the infamous 4.7 exhaust tick in it, so I replaced the driver's side manifold gasket and put all new bolts back in.( The rear to bolts that hold the exhaust shield on snap off) .  The oil and filter will be changed before the end of this auction!

The motor is the 4.7. All the forums on the internet say they would choose the 4.7 over the 4.0. The motor is full of power and has no problem getting up and going. It has the Quadra-Trac2 transfer case.

The front driver's fender ( as shown in pictures) is dented up. I imagine the previous owner hit a deer because the headlight looks newer than the passenger side. There is 2 minor dents in the hatch, it looks like someone opened the hatch and it hit something. There are a few scratches here and there but I think the vehicle overall looks very good for the miles. The tires are atleast 60%. The jeep does come with a bug shield and wind visors above the windows ( passenger side is missing). The tire size is P245/75R16. The jeep has a roof rack and a rear hitch. Also, it comes with running boards. The windshield is cracked right above the rear view mirror and goes towards the passenger A-pillar. It is pretty hard to see from driver's seat. I am more than willing to get this fixed after the end of auction for $300.00 on top of the ending auction price.

The interior is amazing for the year and mileage. It comes with black cloth interior.  In the front it has "JEEP" brand rubber floor mats. The rear storage also has a JEEP mat. There is a 10 disk storage in the passenger back and underneath the passenger seat is an OEM amplifier. There are ZERO interior flaws in this Jeep! The Jeep does come with 2 keys and key fobs.

I bought this Jeep for a winter vehicle. It has never let me down. I think I am just going to try to save up for next winter and get a Jeep Unlimited. That is the only reason I am getting rid of this Jeep. There are no problems with it at all!!

There is NO lien on this vehicle and title is in hand. I can help with shipping but please email me first for price of delivery. Only willing to deliver within a few hundred miles and payment would have to be received before delivery. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks and Happy bidding!

MotorWeek reviews '83 American Motors lineup

Wed, Mar 18 2015

The 30th anniversary of American Motors' 1987 sale to Chrysler by Renault is just a few years away. AMC is long dead, but for its latest peek in the archives, MotorWeek winds back the clock to somewhat happier times. Take a look at the entire AMC lineup from 1983, including its models from Jeep and Renault. The Jeeps, and to a lesser extent, the AMC Eagle, enjoy a cult following today, but it's amazing how many of these other vehicles are now practically forgotten. Even the big debut in '83 of the Renault Alliance is largely ignored. Although with a ludicrous amount of body roll and a 55-horsepower 1.4-liter engine, it's probably rightly buried. Jeep Liberty replacement takes shape

Wed, 16 Jan 2013

Now that the Liberty has left us for greener pastures, it's time to start looking into the future of the midsize Jeep model. The next all-new vehicle for the off-road brand will be the SUV you see here, effectively replacing the Liberty, and not necessarily carrying on with that name.
From the sides, the prototype you see here sort of looks like a miniature version of the handsome Grand Cherokee, albeit with a bit more in the way of body sculpting. Up front, the seven-slat grille will be front and center, with completely revised headlamp designs that are reportedly angular and sweep well into the front fenders (you can sort of see what we're talking about in the side profile). That doesn't sound very Jeep-like, but we'll reserve judgment until we, you know, see the thing.
The bigger question with the Liberty replacement will be whether or not its off-road chops will be up to snuff. After all, the two previous generations of Liberty models were body-on-frame traditional SUVs, whereas this new Jeep rides on a larger version of the Dodge Dart platform.

Toledo continues fight for Jeep Wrangler production, despite mayor's death

Thu, Feb 19 2015

Where will the next-generation Jeep Wrangler be built? That's an open question, but it's one that the city of Toledo, OH desperately wants to be the answer to. The city suffered a major blow, though, with the death of Mayor Michael Collins earlier this month. Collins had been the city's biggest champion during talks with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, before suffering a fatal heart attack on Feb. 6. But Collins' tragic death isn't dampening the city's desire to carry on as the home of the Wrangler. "The mayor's passing is tragic. But on Monday, when I came to work, I knew exactly what I needed to do and exactly what needed to be done," the city's director of development, Matt Sapara, told the Detroit Free Press. According to the Freep, Sapara said Toledo and the state of Ohio have delivered an outline of a development plan that would give FCA the ability to buy an extra 100 acres to expand the factory. This is to help accommodate FCA's targeted output of 300,000 to 350,000 next-generation Wranglers, up from the 240,000 the factory can make now. "Our target in the proposal is to provide a way to increase the production capacity to a number that allows Fiat Chrysler to meet its business model," Sapara told the Freep, adding that the land could be available later this summer. FCA, meanwhile, has shown a somewhat ambivalent attitude towards Toledo production, with CEO Sergio Marchionne openly discussing the pros and cons of continuing to build the Wrangler south of the Michigan border. "We are going to take a very hard look at this without ignoring what these guys have done," Marchionne told the Free Press at last month's Detroit Auto Show, adding that he'd like to keep production there, provided the cost of retooling is comparable to relocating to another facility.
