This 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Sport Utility 4-Door 4.0L is a 4-wheel drive and is fair running condition. It has 232,973 miles and will need a major tune up but I believe that if that is done it will run for another 100,000 miles. I have described in the Condition Description what is wrong with the Jeep and I have also copied that info and pasted it below. I will not lie to you it does need a lot of work but because it is made by Chrysler and they are still making their Jeep products the same way that General Motors made them, because GM made the Jeep to last and so does Chrysler. The Jeep doesn't have any leaks in the oil, transmission or water which means that the motor shouldn't have any damage internally, and with a little work it could last for another 100,000 miles or more.

The Jeep's body is in fair condition it was hit on the passengers side at the bottom of the rear door there is a picture that will show this damage. It does need to be painted due to the clear coat is pealing off. On the rear bumper the paint is cracked there will be a picture of that also, but other than the items I have listed the body is in good condition. The motor needs some work because it has over 230,000 miles on it but it doesn't leak oil or water so it probably just needs to have a major tune up. It is 4 wheel drive and that does work properly. The transmission does need to have some work done to it also its not slipping but it is slow to change gear. The interior is in fair condition, the seats are in good condition but the center console needs to be replaced and the drivers seat has been replaced with a leather seat because on the original seat the back broke so we found one from a junk yard and replaced it. The head liner is coming down so that will need to be redone.

Why Mopar won't release a factory lift kit for the new Jeep Cherokee
Thu, 24 Apr 2014The Jeep Cherokee Dakar concept showed off at the 2014 Easter Jeep Safari made a lot of online friends, even the Cherokee naysayers assenting that there's a monster Jeep underneath the Cherokee's skin if you're willing to go in and get it. But after reading Road & Track's write-up of what went into creating the Dakar, particularly its lift, you'll understand why you'll probably never see the components for it in the Jeep Performance Parts catalog.
The concept's press release mentions a "prototype Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, and additional suspension modifications." The short-story explanation is that the front struts on the standard Cherokee weren't engineered to accept any amount of lift, so the long story begins with the phrase, "an entirely new suspension." Head over to RT to read the details, and don't be afraid to ogle the Cherokee Dakar gallery and another awesome Jeep fancy that won't likely crawl over the hurdles imposed by production reality.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4X4
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Ice skates are spectacular on frozen water, yet they are dreadful everyday footwear. I consider the Jeep Wrangler equally as specialized.
I recently spent a week with a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4X4. Introduced for the 2007 model year, the Wrangler Unlimited is a standard JK two-door with 20.6 inches added to its wheelbase and two additional doors bolted to its passenger compartment. While Jeep offers the Unlimited in seven different trim levels, the desirable Rubicon is the most capable when the pavement ends, as it boasts a slew of hardcore off-road tools including front and rear electronic locking differentials and a front sway bar that can be disengaged at the touch of a button for improved articulation. My I-Look-Like-A-Traffic-Cone test model started with a base price of $34,095 (plus $995 destination). Options including a five-speed automatic transmission, Uconnect, tow package and a premium soft top, drove the bottom line up to $38,630.
