I am an automotive repair shop and I sometimes buy and sell vehicles especially jeeps in my opinion they are one of the best suvs you can buy for the money they are very economical reliable and easy to maintain especially with the 4.0 motor i personally drive a 96 lifted cherokee and average 18 mpg. That being said up for auction is a 1996 jeep grand cherokee limited with a 4.0 inline six cylinder which is uncommon in a limited they came with v8s unless specialy ordered. This jeep has 159,000 miles which is nothing for a 4.0 it will eaisly double that. Mechanically is in exelent condition it has a fresh tune up with new plugs wires cap rotor and belt it has an entire new exaust including muffler catalytic converter and o2 senser. It starts first time everytime and sounds great runs and drives great. There are no warning lights or check engine lights on of any kind. The transmission engages nicely and shifts smoothly threw all gears. All of the windows and locks including the sunroof operate as they should as well as the heat ac and climate control. The only tthing on this jeep that doesnt work 100% is the radio it turns on and plays just fine it just seems like it is only playing from the front speakers i dont think the rear speakers are hooked up (probably a very easy fix). As far as the apearence from the outside overall it looks pretty good with only a few minor scuffs. The interior of this jeep is overall in fair condition the rear seats have no rips or tears, the driver seat has a tear along the side from sliding in and out of the seat, the passanger seat has no rips but the stitching in the center is starting to come out. The head liner sags minorly in a couple spots but not bad, some spray adhesive on the headliner and two seat covers would make the interior look good for years to come. Overall I would have no worries about driving this jeep across the country and would be a great first car for some one or an everyday driver. Millionth Jeep Wrangler JK to roll off line this morning
Fri, 17 May 2013According to a report on the Chrysler Communications Facebook page and one fairly grainy image of the production line, at around 11:00AM Eastern this morning, the one-millionth Jeep Wrangler JK will roll out of the company's Toledo assembly plant.
The third-generation or "JK" Jeep Wrangler has been around since the 2007 model year, and has obviously been more popular than ever. With a greater than ever number of trim levels, two-door and four-door Unlimited models and hardy off-roading Rubicon packages, the JK offers more to choose from than ever for those looking for something in a traditional Jeep. In fact, with the modern 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 powering it, the 2012 model year saw more than 140k Wrangers sold here in the US; the best-ever figure for the model.
With a model refresh due out for the Wrangler in 2015 (along with the likely addition of a diesel engine option), we expect that sales will continue to roll right along, too.

Jeep Chief and Wrangler Red Rock Responder teased ahead of Easter Jeep Safari
Thu, Mar 12 2015Jeep is being coy about it's lineup for the 2015 Moab Easter Jeep Safari, releasing just a pair of shots and an exceptionally brief press release on two of the seven concepts coming to the desert later this month. So, what can we glean from the limited assets that have been given to us? Well, as we said, we know Jeep is bringing seven vehicles to its big festival. We also know the names of two vehicles, shown above – there's the Chief and the Wrangler Red Rock Responder. Which is which? A fair question. We're betting the second image is the Wrangler-based Red Rock Responder. As for the Chief, well, we've absolutely no idea what to expect there. Jeep's Moab concepts generally include the model name on which their based – see the Grand Cherokee Trail Warrior and Cherokee Dakar from last year, or even the Wrangler Red Rock Responder, mentioned above. There's no such moniker on the Chief. As for the Chief's illustrated teaser image, as we said, it doesn't reveal much. The body is angular, and quite Jeep like, with squared-off wheel arches and decidedly old-school taillights. Beyond that, though, we don't have much to go on. Expect much more not just on the Chief and Red Rock Responder, but on all seven of the concepts Jeep is bringing to Moab. The party starts on March 28 and runs until April 5.
